Homegoods was founded in 1992 as a small chain of home goods stores. They are now owned by TJX Companies who also own T.J. Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, and Marshalls. There are stores nation wide selling furniture, cooking products, snacks, bedding, linens, pets supplies, and decor.. I have a TJ Maxx credit card and every other month or so depending on what I spend, they send me a $10 certificate to use on anything in the TJ Maxx stores. I usually save them up for Homegoods. It is always fun discovering their colorful, witty, cute, and inexpensive merchandise. You can save even more if you shop their clearance. The displays are arranged attractively and they have coastal decor and items unique to Florida that I adore. Their candles smell amazing and besides shopping for myself I can always pick up a gift for someone else. I almost always see someone I work with here too. I never leave without spotting multiple things that I love. read more

This home goods has a really great selection of items and lots of furniture at a good price. Big store but super crowded and loaded aisles. The staff here are truly the worst. Extremely rude and just overall need customer service training. My cashier ignored me but was heavy on Instagram while I was checking out. I'll drive to a different location next time. read more

Think of this store as a glorified Marshall's -- just eliminate the clothes and the shoes -- and add in more art work, bedding, decorations, and furniture. And this chain store is part of the same group of stores including Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I more regularly shop for clothing at Marshall's, but you can use the same credit card at all their stores -- and acquire reward points toward coupons/certificates. I haven't been needing any new clothing lately (due to Covid) so I decided to use my $10 coupon here. One area of the store I especially like is their gourmet foods section. They have some unique items that make for good gifts. If you check out the clearance section within this area, you'll find somethings you don't really need, but would like to try. Prices are very reasonable in the marked down section that it's painless. I have tried some things here, and liked them so much I've then bought them full retail! Eek. I also like their cookware and accessories area. Lots of gadgets and tools that draw my interest. Their decor and small furniture make me think of the pier one store. Interesting, current pieces, in trendy colors and materials. So what did we buy this time? Some fashionable face masks, dark chocolate truffles, a digital thermometer, some fancy cookies, and a few other kitchen odds n ends. We frequent Homegoods for mostly Kitchen Items.once in a while I may purchase toys for the dogs and kids. Today I ran in to quickly return a broken item. They are excellent about accepting returns. Forget about the QUICKLY part. Weekends are brutal with long lines. It's best to shop here during the week. On weekends the shopping carts are overflowing making the lines a lot longer. You can't beat their prices compared to a large department store. Check carefully when you purchase for minor flaws. They are easy to miss and what makes some of their items less expensive.you can find good brands at closeout prices here. There's a lot of junky stuff no one really needs, in my opinion, but for home basics, this is really a good place to check out. I just had a great experience in this store. My husband and I decided to purchase a bench that was too large to transport. Dealing with Kyle was an absolute pleasure. He was quick to put it on hold while we got something to transport it & very attentive when we returned to pick it up. He even helped roll it out and load it in the vehicle. Very professional and friendly! Aidita rang us up and I used many reward certificates and in spite of lines of patrons waiting, she calmly dealt with my rewards. I have to update my review. I do still think that some things are a bit expensive for what they are, and that they try to sell you things that are completely broken for only a couple dollars less than the original price, is ridiculous. But there was a good selection of items and I found what I needed and more However, when I did need employee assistance Ron pointed me in the wrong direction twice and then disappeared. Needed a price check on a bundle of selenite, THE MANAGER shouted that I needed to do my own price check. She was going on about not taking another customer's heavy item to their car and how she didn't want to do that because it was raining. She was extremely unprofessional, and was not wearing her name badge. When my friend was checking out she gave an item back because she didn't find another item to do her own price check and the manager AGAIN shouted at my friend about how she needed to do her own price check because there's nobody on the floor to do it. This location seems slightly larger than the West Boca location, but also less organized, somehow... regardless,as far as home decor stores go, HG is fine...mostly cheaply made and incredibly ugly stuff, but you can find some cute things (or even quasi 1st-world necessities like linens) on the cheap, and once in a while they get a piece that is actually unique and much less expensive than in its original release at P1I or dept. stores... also, they take the TJMaxx card and are fairly liberal with returns. Fun to see HG wares in background interior sets in every domestic shot on TV and in movies... we are all such sheep! I am also guilty... about 1/3 of our decor is from HG! read more

This particular HomeGoods Store truly does have a much greater selection than the other HomeGoods Stores in this area. I went to the N. Federal Hwy. store yesterday and with the limited stock there, I was unable to find anything that caught my eye. However, the Margate location is loaded with so many good finds, and from now I will always seek out this location whenever I need to shop for things for the house. read more

I like home goods for a lot of different reasons for instance when I needed an urn for my mother's ashes I came to Home Goods and found a beautiful glass cylinder honest and with the top that had a cross on it. that's another story though today I came to Home Goods in search of a Thanksgiving table cloth. when I walked in I was greeted by a sales girl and I asked where the Thanksgiving section was and she snarkily laughed and said there is no more Thanksgiving items. okay then I put my creative mind to use and thought of what colors represent Thanksgiving to me of course they would have to be autumn colors so I settled on a beautiful gold colored tablecloth for my dining room table it's kind of a mustard color but it definitely is more on the gold side than on a real bright yellow. I also found a Paisley type of linen napkins that match nicely with the golden tablecloth maybe I should call it harvest yellow that sounds more Thanksgiving ish. there are so many baubles and cool things throughout the store I even saw a lucite chair that was fantastically gorgeous that I would have liked to had. everything I purchased happened to be on sale which I was not aware of until the items were scanned by my cashier who was so sweet and nice I really enjoyed talking to her while I was paying my bill. I always enjoy shopping at Home Goods and always find what I'm looking for even if they say they're out of it I seem to manage to muster up something similar to what I want and it works out just fine like I did today with my Thanksgiving tablecloth and linen napkins. I also got some really cool retro 70s owl cocktail napkins. all together everything was under $20 for the three items that's amazing because the tablecloth and napkins Are linen. Huge store with a lot to choose from. They have almost everything but not quite as much as say Bed Bath and Beyond (but you can't beat the Home Goods Prices). My only beef is they have 20 versions of the same thing and maybe need some more variety. for example they have different colors/versions of the same throw pillows however they are all the same shape. The same goes for the lamps too. I really wanted a new lamp however that didn't happen. Great cashier though! (Micheala...something like that was super nice). read more

I've been to only one other HomeGoods. This location is very well stocked with a variety of multiple items. You definitely have a lot to choose from in each department so your options are not limited. It was very clean and pretty organized, being that there was a lot of customers. The long line went quickly and the layout of the store is good for heavy traffic. read more

Best selection I've ever seen! I live near the Coral Ridge Homegoods in Fort Lauderdale and this one is a GOLDMINE in comparison. They just have so much stuff, so many unique items, and a ton on clearance! Also apparently they get shipments on Thursdays, so new stuff will be coming tomorrow! read more

Very bad customer service. They couldn't give me the 10% off when I apply for the card and they told me to go back once I received it to reimburse it. When I did as I was told, they told me that wasn't a coupon and I had to go 10 mi back home to bring all the papers that they sent. It turned out to be the right coupon so they made me go home for nothing. Very bad customer service in this store by the manager Monica. Never will go there again. read more
