I thought some of the prices were high however signs throughout the location indicate prices are negotiable. Staff was friendly and greeted everyone as they entered. There is a scavenger hunt with a prize if you find all the items. You can even buy your beer as you browse. I am sure some people spend hours here. There is limited parking along the side of the building on the street. I am not a thrifter but it was fun to browse Oddballs.

I was on my way to the new Nordic Bake Shop, another must visit when I spotted their sign that said vintage, one of my loves. Walking into the store is like stepping into a museum except you can buy anything. Amazing treasures await around every corner. They carry furniture, art, sculpture, clothes, and accessories. The jewelry made me salivate. After talking with the owner Karen for awhile I was persuaded to try some silver rings on and of course I ended up with two of them. I have been wearing the heart shaped one every day since my visit. I asked Karen what the oldest piece in the store was and she was a wooden cabinet from France dated 1730 that comes with a ghost! The owner Karen is a sweetheart. I had the best chat with her. She will buy your old jewelry and gold. The jewelry collection here has so many interesting pieces, I really had to hold myself back. When you are looking for that special something that no one else has, pay them a visit.

The seedy plaza is almost entirely empty and looks quite run down with lots of open places for rent. And it's no where near other similar stores or shops, either. Inside is like coming into a hidden treasure trove. Lots and lots of very interesting items to look at of all sorts. Of course, with today's current super high gold prices, the high end jewelry is (high) priced accordingly. There's a lot of Asian pieces of jade, snuff bottles, and the like. Many display cases are dazzlingly full of shiny baubles and beads. Even the costume jewelry is ogle worthy. In the back of the store are the minks -- stoles, jackets, and full coats plus a separate rack of other types of fur outerwear. You may recognize your mom's or grandmother's or great aunt's stuff here. Then there are the fancy dresses -- with beads or spangles or rhinestones, etc. And there's accessories as well... I'm sure a store like this would be packed with customers on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale or say Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. Of course, there, the rent would be astronomically higher. This is the kind of place great for browsing and if your pocketbook will allow, a great place to treat yourself to a special birthday or anniversary gift.

They have a bit of everything -- especially bric a brac -- and anything else you can think of. But it is challenging. Prices seemed reasonable. So come with patience and if you're looking for something specific, ask the staff so they can put you in the right direction.

According to their website and name they donate proceeds to veterans. How much or what charities it does not specify. They accept your donations or you can shop their store. The inside is a bit cramped but I am convinced you can find gems if you really look. I quickly spotted some vintage Crestone Buttertree stoneware plates from Japan that have become very popular on Ebay and with collectors. They also had a few pieces of furniture, books, collectibles, household goods, toys, and a lot of clothing towards the back of the store. Prices on the few items I checked seemed very reasonable. There is a Family Thrift, Women in Distress, and Goodwill nearby so with this store you can have a nice little thrift outing. Thrifting helps the planet by reducing and reusing while also saving you money. In in this case it is helping veterans too.

I enjoyed peeking through their large room and smaller back rooms of furniture, small appliances, household items, books, clothes, art, and accessories. They sell vintage and antique items with some modern things thrown in. My favorite area was the adorable kitchen room. You could practically see a grandma standing there baking a pie. If had enough space, I would have scooped up those sweet ceramic vegetable trinket boxes. Everything was actively arranged and clearly priced. Take your time and look closely. There are a lot of cool things to see and prices can be negotiated. The Flip Side has another store in Ft. Lauderdale on Cypress Creek Road in Ft. Lauderdale. There was a gal vacuuming at the time we came by. The vacuum was heating up and smoking a bit, so she was concerned. There were also some students or volunteers or young new employees -- I couldn't tell which -- being given a tour of the store as we were there. Both were a bit distracting. They have some inventory that will appeal depending on what you're looking for... they don't have much furniture wise. There's a bit of a bunch of different things --linens, housewares, silverware, electronics, books, clothing etc., etc. Most things are organized together by category. Price wise, it's a mix of decent prices and high prices. They have some of the more expensive items near the counter. We didn't love something enough to buy anything here. But we are still glad we came to check them out.

My wife gathered up a ton of gently used shoes and clothing for donation. Drove fifteen miles to this specific location since it directly assists women in emergency domestic situations. Today's bargains were 50% off shoes with BOGO books and .25 cds. This place offers true discount thrift pricing. The store was huge and busy with every type of home goods, costume jewelry and clothing. The drop off is at the rear of the building. After the donation, they provided me with a tax donation form.

The bedroom set was pre-owned but they promised to get rid of all the scrapes, etc. They did an amazing job! The owner is from NY and a bit brusque at times, but he delivered our furniture when he promised and the pieces all looked great. There was a giant unicorn staged outside of the business next to the front door, which created a strategic marketing technique to let the public know "We're Open for Business". The shop was packed to the hilt with nostalgic items which instantly rekindled childhood memories. Most would refer to this little shop as "Cute" but it was more like "Cool as Heck". Discussed action figures and comic books with the clerk. Aside from a Chucky doll wearing a Florida Panther jersey and some old records, there was a vintage Coca Cola vending machine and a matching bench which instantly absorbed my attention, but sadly not for sale.
