Went to Macy's over the weekend not with any intent just to go. My favorite spots last call did find some really good gems just got confused because they moved it from its previous location and had to find it again. Also the shie selection was meh was hoping to find more options in my size. I was also not impressed with the jewelry selection. At Macy's Coral Square Mall I was subjected to many high-pressure trickery attempts while simply trying to buy one piece of Jewelry. Specifically, I tried to buy a strand of pearls (i.e. Necklace). The Jewelry salesgirl even tried to tempt me to hand over more PII (Personally Identifiable Info) by, when I asked what was happening, saying she was about to give me a $40 Gift Card she claimed I would thank her for but I told her I did not want that and never consented to such. After that she told me to make up a false (FAKE) Birth Date because I refused to give mine- which I could remember. As I was refusing and continuing to say "no" she made up a fake birth date for me against my wishes typing it into their system w/ my email address she asked for right beforehand. Due to the birth date Fraud, I asked "what is this for?" She said I'm signing you up for Macy's Loyalty today. Twice more I told her I "never consented" to so signup so would not purchase the jewelry after all. I have reported today's incident to police. Be careful Christmas 2023 shoppers! read more

This is an okay Macys. As it's one of two closest to my house, I'm here fairly frequently. Most often I shop the Clinique counter, especially during gift with purchases, the swim suit department each spring, their last chance/backstage departments, and a few of their in-house brands. And of course, around the holidays for gifts. It's usually not very busy during the week. And that's some times is an advantage for shorter cashier lines. The only problem is that they don't always have the newest or most selection of merchandise. It depends, of course, what you're looking to buy. I've been a Macys shopper for years. Growing up in Connecticut, we would go downtown to shop at Macys department store. And when we would visit NYC, we'd have to stop by --(I have childhood sitting on Santa's lap photos from here) to ride the wooden escalators. Before placing an online order, I changed my shipping and billing address. Today I noticed that the dress I ordered was going to the wrong address. Not a good experience today. My friend is a Macys Platinum card holder. Bought $400 worth of merchandise last month. Today returned $150 and was given SUCH a hard time by the returns representative!! She basically questioned EVERYTHING!! Refused to accept a shirt & pair of shoes claiming they were used which they weren't. Then refused to accept a jacket which had the tag still on it. It was on sale and had 2 very small holes, which my friend never noticed, but she accused my friend of the damage! I asked to speak with a supervisor. She walked to the other side of the store to get one-? Came back & said they were coming. Continued waiting another 10-15 min. Then she picked up the phone right there & called someone. "WHAT??" Evidently a supervisor!! She asked permission to do the refund and evidently was denied. Got off the phone and started to apologize to me that company policy etc. & it could not be done. I told her she outright denied me the chance to speak with a supervisor and escalate. I refused to accept her response and asked for the supervisor to see me a face front. She said I might have to wait longer and then mentioned that she was supposed to be off at 5:15. Hmm, there it is! She actually started to debate the situation with me about why she had to walk clear across the other side of the store to get a supervisor who never came and then made a phone call right there. The other gentleman at the desk said he would go get a supervisor for me. The supervisor came I explained the situation and how long I had to wait and how I was denied more than once for the refund & escalation to a supervisor when she was on the phone with one. The supervisor, without hesitation, told her to process the refund! Definitely need more customer service training here! read more

I was able to get great deals on men's dress wear. I got new shoes, shirts, cuff links, dress socks. The choices were great and I was able to find everything I needed in one place. The next thing I want to talk about is their true opportunity to improve: Service. 1. I observed that there either is no protocol or no enforcement of a protocol on how to communicate cordially & effectively with customers. 2. The shoe area was in need to be fully staffed. This store is so dumpy and frumpy. The store has a musty smell and not a large selection. It's so old and needing of a little refreshing. I stopped in to see the ladies shoes, and I guess it was closing at 9...although I thought later. The salespeople in shoes started shouting that they were closing in ten minutes and wouldn't be getting any more shoes out for anyone. They kept their shouting and then at 9PM yelled that they were closed. Keep it classy Macy's, they don't even do this at the SWAP SHOP. read more

I went to MAC on a whim not expecting to buy anything nor find anything for that matter BUTTTTTTT low and behold during the pandemic my skin looks flawless with the new concealer Marissa matched for me PERFECTLYYYYYYYY. Never did I ever think I would be convinced when I got home and applied the primer and the concealer and the foundation ; absolutely best decision I made. Also, I feel the need to mention how knowledgeable and patient she was and I am going to be coming back and buying everything she sampled me because it was perfect. I have super dry skin so it's very difficult to find makeup that look natural yet light and subtle while doing the job and lasting. This location in the Simon Coral Square Mall is one of my favorites, in that they are a one-story store, with departments located on two separate areas of the mall. The Men's, Children's and Home departments are on the west side of the mall, while the Women's: fragrance, cosmetics, shoes department is located in the center of the mall, opposite the Food Court. I also like the flow within departments, the cleanliness and the in & out ease of their fitting rooms. With excellent discounts, they make their products affordable for everyone! Personally, if there was anything I would improve, would be the friendliness of their associates. They are helpful and professional, but not very happy. Rowland Hussey Macy would be very pleased to see that his dry goods store multiplied to more than 650 retail stores; becoming one of the largest, steady growing retail stores in the world. Zero stars for the women's Macy's store in Coral Square; especially the old lady working at the pick up online orders department. I parked and checked in to let them know I was there to pick up the order. I indicated the parking number the color and the make of my car. 10 minutes passed and nothing happened. I called and they said they don't know where I was . I told them I was at the curb side parking as indicated in the email. The person ask some stupid questions like "what stores you see from the car" " what kind of merchandise you see". When finally she brought my item, the mentioned lady said " I don't speak Italian " and I said me neither. Then she threw the package on my daughter's legs and walked away. We ventured out for our first retail store visit after being locked in for 6-7 weeks for the Covid outbreak. We wanted to get some new perfumes for the wife and the men of the house wanted new colognes. We also had a couple gift cards to help with the purchase. Wife found the Chanel counter and her favorite scent. They only had the super size and we purchased without issue. We decided to treat momma to another scent also and funny, they only had the super size of that one too. (This would soon become more than a coincidence). We then headed to the men's colognes and knew what I wanted (Acqua Profondo) and the gift included for purchase. They only had the large size available (surprise) and they didn't have the freebie gift which was a small 1.7 bottle of the original scent. Rep looked in inventory and she suggested they DONT even carry it. My son decided he wanted a bottle also and his cologne choice only came in the large size and offered two gifts, a travel size of their new scent and a bag. They failed to have the travel size and said they have never even seen it. I'm not sure exactly why the small sizes were not available for any scent. Perhaps they were put away and they decided to not restock properly, or some massive theft issue. The employee was super, as she always is, but this store needs help. I contacted Client Services via Facebook Messenger and also via their Corporate Contact to see if they would fulfill the missing items. I can easily provide receipts for over 400 bucks spent, and they have NOT responded. Two plus days as counting. Their client service phone number also is not working properly and appears to only transfer to a live person if your making a purchase. read more

Pretty much my standard go-to Macy's in the area. Located in the Coral Square Mall, one of my favorite thing about it is that it's one level so everything is really easy to get to. One thing I noticed recently about this Macy's is that they'll have a dj playing or "spinning tracks" while you shop-, ok, I guess? The location is neatly organized, even in its clearance area which is really quite large. They have it designated to certain areas in the back of the store where you can get up to 75 percent off. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing a shirt on the rack that you paid full price for though. The associates are helpful and try to work with you when all those Macy's coupons don't work because of exclusions. Somehow I always end up with some sort of discount so I end a happy camper. I went to pick up an item from "At Your Service "- on line pick up. After checking in and waiting for 10-15 minutes I called at at your service department to see where my item was. The lady on phone said " oh , the girl can't find out". Where are you? I said I'm parked outside At your service area. I asked should I go in? She said " hold on". Never came back on phone. When I went into store, same run around. Horrible service and people that can't communicate well with customers. I don't recommend this store. read more

This is about the Men's shoe department at Macy's Coral Square Mall. First there is either one or two people staffing the department. We unfortuately had the poor experience of only one person staffing the department. If you are going to buy a pair of shoes you have to select the pair or style you want. Then stand in a line that today was four deep. Then the clerk goes and looks for the shoes. They had one of the two pair I wanted. Then you have to stand in line to check out. That took 15 minutes both times. They had to order the shoes for delivery in maybe 10 days. We paid for the shoes with a debit card so Macy's does not have to wait for the money. We left and came back within 30 minutes because we changed our mind and wanted a more expensive shoe. We waited in line another 20 minutes because the departmenthad only one person manning it. We got to the front to make the exchange and were told the 30 minute grace periosd expired. Of course it did. We were standing in line waiting that long. I am tired of typing so the bottom line is neityher clerk tried to help and they developed an attitude. We asked for the manager who was "too busy" in a meeting to help a customer. Customer Service on line did not care or offer to help nor could they be understood. So Macy's has our money for at least ten days waiting for the shoes we don't want to arrive. We then have to drive back to the store to return he shoes we don't want. And then we will have to wait at least another three weeks before our money is back to us. Sounds like Macy's has our money for at least a month and we do not have any shoes. Macy's lost a customer of over 40 years. That plus the store inventory is very low. Can they be closing the location? The sad part is the store employees in that department are badly in the need of training in customer service. This was a simple thing: credit out the sale and ring up the new sale (more expensive). Bye bye Macy's! read more

This particular location is a bit disorganized at times. And there isn't much help on the floor. But this is something you have to put up with unfortunately. My 12 year old boy wanted to choose his own clothes for the first time. I didn't know where to begin. Thought Macy's would be a good start with lots of choices for my son. Not a good shopping experience. Perhaps on of the worst I've ever had. We go to the checkout to continue this terrible shopping experience. About three people in the line but everyone is fussing with coupons and the line isn't moving. The 20% off coupon my hubby found for us was not good for Levi's. Okay, whatever, get me outta' here. The checkout lady tells me Levi's only go on sale two times a year (or something). The Macy's in Coral Square Mall is pretty unique because it is one of those Macy's locations that has not been updated yet and reminds me of the Burdines experience which Macy's bought out a few years ago. With the advent of Amazon things have become a bit jumbled but somethings just can't be bought online hence the need for department stores like Macy's. My recommendation would be that the management at Macy's needs to get their act together and update this store ASAP. The store is getting pretty old and the shopping experience is not healthy. On top of it I noticed that employees even though helpful just don't have the same energy level that you might get at the Macy's in the Boca town center. Besides that, if you go on the weekend the place is pretty busy and there are a lot of different sales and if you have the time you might be able to find a few good deals. read more

I went in today to do a return and had to move to 4 departments (and cashwraps) before I found an employee. She was able to quickly handle my return as I had the receipt but had to dive into the negative political complaining about the Ivanka Trump line being removed from Nordstrom. As I will not be sucked into a political conversation, especially with a stranger, I had to struggle to nicely extract myself from the conversation. Not why I walk into a Macy's. I shop frequently at Macy's and have made several large purchases there in the past. But after my experience in the Macy's in the Coral square mall I may disavow them forever. A few days after Christmas and I wanted to exchange a few shirts that were the wrong size. You would think that Macy's would be aware that this is a common occurrence after the Christmas season, but this store seems to have no idea that people actually return things. One of the shirts had all the tags on it and they said they could not look it up in the system. Frustrated I walked over to one of the price checking kiosks in the store and immediately the shirt rang up. The shirt also had the return label on it that Macy's puts on after you purchase the shirt. The person who helped me was named Donald and he was rude completely unhelpful and so I walked across the store to find another salesperson. The second person who "helped" me was named Roseanne and she was not much more help. She said she couldn't scan the item even though I was able to do it a few moments earlier. Frustrated I asked for a manager. I then was able to walk across the store and find the same exact shirt on the rack in under 2 minutes. Finally my wife asked her to scan the product again and they finally found it. Such a ridiculous policy and experience. It's no wonder Macy's is going out of business. read more

I needed help in the fine jewelry department, no associate was at the counter or the counters nearby, so I went to the next closest jewelry counter with 2 associates, and waited. And waited. And waited. I watched these 2 associates greet and assist every white customer that walked by. And completely ignore me. 2 more associates went to the fine jewelry counter where my grandmother was waiting and proceeded to window shop the jewelry in the case, on the clock. Never asked her if she needed help or even greeted her. This is not the first time I have been treated this way in this store. Because I am a younger and we are persons of color does not mean I cannot afford to purchase jewelry. It does not mean I am not worthy of being treated with the same respect and courtesy as white customers. I was angered and embarrassed that my grandmother and I were treated as less than human when simply trying to buy her something nice on her birthday. Shame on Macy's for allowing this horrible, disgusting behavior. This is clearly not a company that welcomes me or my wallet. read more

They lock you in the store with no store closing announcements. I had to walk around the entire store to get to my car way on the other side of the building two doors away. The doors should not be closed until all the customers have exit. I've never experienced this at any other Macy's, there was always someone at each door letting the last customers out. Someone should be at each door to ensure each customer leave the building where their comfortable. . I'm a female, and certainly didn't find it acceptable that the store (managers) I would imagine told me I had to walk all the way around the building because they already closed all the other doors, in addition to the fact that it was raining outside. What's even worst is they were both Females. Macy's have to ensure their employees safety at 9:00 pm, when it's dark outside. Customer's safety should also be of importance too when exiting the store. It's very disappointing that customer service and safety mean nothing to management here at this woman's Macy's. I feel so degraded and have no interest in shopping at this location ever again. read more
