I had a really upsetting experience at Marshalls today at around 7:45 PM involving one of their store credit card applications. At checkout, the sales associate was very pushy about getting me to apply for the Marshalls/TJX credit card so I could get 10% off, even though I repeatedly showed that I was unwilling and hesitant to do it. I specifically told her that I am currently getting a loan for a car and that I absolutely could not afford to have a hard inquiry on my credit right now. I made that concern very clear to her, and she flat out told me, "It's a soft pull." I also told her that my credit isn't great and that I probably wouldn't even get approved. She told me that was okay and said I would still get the 10% discount anyway. Despite my reluctance, she kept pushing the application, and based on her reassurance that it was only a soft pull, I finally gave in and applied. Well, I wasn't approved, I didn't get the 10% discount, and when I got home I discovered that I DID get a hard inquiry on my credit. So yes, my sucker ass fell for all of this over a little discount. I should have trusted my instincts and just said no. Lesson learned -- I will never fall for this again. What really bothers me is that I specifically explained why I could not have a hard inquiry. I told her I was getting a car loan and could not risk another inquiry. Had she told me the truth that applying could result in a hard pull, I would never have agreed to submit the application. Employees should not be pressuring reluctant customers into applying for credit while giving them inaccurate information about how the application will affect their credit. I will be contacting Marshalls/TJX corporate and the credit card issuer regarding this incident, and I also plan to look into reporting it to the appropriate consumer protection agencies. This type of sales tactic is completely unacceptable. read more

Date of visit: May 31, 2026 I am sure I only came in here looking for one thing, but half a dozen items later I'm looking for the door because otherwise I am liable to grab a cart and things are really going to get dangerous! Like most of the stores in the TJX family, don't come here if you need help because there won't be a soul to assist you, they are all too busy staffing a register or putting out even more things on the shelves that are bursting at the seams as it is. But I was able to score some silicon whisks (don't use metal ones on your cookware!), dish drying mats, and some other things that I really did "need." Despite the lack of service, I was able to check some items off my list at a good price, so I really can't complain too much! read more

While waiting in line there's always fun stuff to look at and capture your attention or get those last minute impulse buys. I'll start by saying that the store employees made me feel very uncomfortable shopping here today. Throughout my visit, it felt as though employees were following me while I shopped, and it became so noticeable that even other shoppers appeared to take notice. The experience left me feeling unwelcome, and I regret following through with my purchase. Looking back, I should have left and shopped elsewhere. This has always been my mother's and my favorite Marshalls to shop at, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, I don't anticipate returning. I'd also like to mention another interaction that stood out to me. While I was looking at phone cases, an employee who appeared to be a manager was standing right beside me. My hands were full, and I accidentally dropped an item on the floor. Instead of offering to help or even acknowledging what happened, he simply walked away as soon as it fell. We were the only two people in that section, standing shoulder to shoulder, and not a single word was said. That interaction reinforced how unwelcome I already felt. I cannot speak to the employees' intentions, but I can speak to how I was treated. I've been shopping at this Marshall's for many, many years and they've always been great. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. There's a very nice gentleman that is often walking around the store in case you need help with anything. Today, I ran in for a quick look to see if they had something. They actually didn't have what I was looking for, but of course I found a pair of the cutest red ballet flats. The line was long to checkout but I was just running errands and not in a rush. Mia B was the cashier and she is a wonderful addition to the store. I'm not sure how long she's been working there but she is very genuine. I was in a medium mood when I arrived but she was just so sweet and engaged in our interaction that I left with a better attitude. I LOVE Marshalls, like who doesn't like a deal & getting designer things for almost 1/2 the price??? I'm a big fan of TJ Maxx (same company) & that's my first choice then Marshalls. I like the fact this Marshalls is so close to home, I'm surprised I'm not in here more often. I even have their credit card & only use it @ their stores. Every time you spend a certain amt. of money you earn gift certificates that you can use toward your purchases. This store is always neat & clean. There is a ton of stuff & its always changes per season in their household items. They have suitcases, purses, bags, jewelry, hair & beauty products, clothes, workout equipment, kitchen & cleaning supplies, bedroom linen, bathroom towels & supplies, baby clothes & toys, pet toys & supplies, pictures, snacks, stationary, chips, nuts, books, calendars & wrapping paper to name a few. I always go down each aisle looking @ all the stuff & buying things I don't really need.....lol This last visit I went in looking for some brown knee high dress boots which I didn't find. I did find a cute pair of small black heels by Jessica Simpson. Most of the stuff I bought was for me but I did pick up a few Christmas presents. Their dressing room has been open for awhile now it was closed due to COVID for a bit. I always come here or TJ Maxx for my higher end shampoo & conditioner due to the cost. The lady who checked me out was very nice. I can't say I've ever come across any unfriendly staff members. I was disappointed when I took an item that was on clearance to cashier for a couple reasons 1- the item was price at $20 but was broken so I asked if I take it can I get a better price well manager Noah said it was price incorrect and it should be $48. I popped in on my way home to look for a lamp I wanted, they didn't have it. Oh well. As I was leaving, I went to use the restroom...and it was appalling. A disgusting biohazard. There are two stalls: one handicapped accessible stall, and one not. This was the non-accessible stall, and the accessible one was not much cleaner. Who knows how long it's been since it's been cleaned...there is no excuse for it to be in this state. The manager needs to do a much better job at maintaining their store. Truly shameful. read more

Yelp Review Challenge 2021, Review #20 I haven't been here in a while, maybe 1-2 years. I went here recently helping my mom find swimwear. I found some cute ones she liked and they were also on sale! Under $10 for the top and 2 shorts for about $12.99, definitely under $20. They have some cute selections and brands for clothing, shoes, decor, skincare, beauty products, fitness yoga type equipment. Found an Asian skincare section from Japanese and Korean brands which is pretty cool. Also well known high end brands from Sephora and department stores. Prices are fair. It is organized well. Most of the time chain stores are all about the same. The employees change but the products not so much. Well this store is a bit different. Their clearance sections are awful! Most items aren't even 25% off. Possibly $1-$2 dollars. Obviously some are better than others but I still would not consider it "clearance". I will attach a couple of pictures for reference. One example was the regular price was $9.99 and the clearance was $10.00. Really? Another items regular price was $4.99 and clearance was $4.00. In the furniture section there was a table which regularly ran $109.00. The clearance price was $99.00 however it was wooden and the entire left side was broke and raw wood was exposed. It was all but just ruined and should be $25 at this point. The point here is if you are going to have an area marked clearance, make the prices clearance prices. Otherwise call it a sale. read more

I was peacefully shopping with my sisters until ABLEIST workers caused a huge scene by aggressively threaten to call the cops because my youngest and autistic sister got a hold of a rolling chair in the middle of the beauty section??? that a worker carelessly and irresponsibly failed to put away, it did not appear to be a workers chair at first until it was too late... regardless it being a workers chair or not it is still in the wrong section, i tried to deescalate and explain/pay for my items to the workers but they became aggressive and loud/declined to service me. it frighted me and left me worried for the safety of my sisters. to protect me and my sisters we left appalled and PUBLICLY HUMILIATED by staff as customers stared and workers snickered and went as far as to point in our faces...I have been a paying customers for years but I will no longer be supporting this location. Went here with a couple friends on a Saturday evening and were very upset by the treatment we received by the employees. Through out the entire trip, it was very obvious that the employees were watching us. We were frequently approached by badged employees asking if we needed help with our items, there always seemed to be an employee near us "putting product away", and several times we caught employees staring us. While this may seem like normal store practices, it got to the point where we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to just check out with what we had (they also made sure to send a manager to the front when it was our turn to check out) and continue our shopping spree at a different store. While I completely understand the need for loss preventative measures, I find it entirely inappropriate that they took it to the point where we felt like we were being watched the entire time. Perhaps the fact that we made several trips to the fitting rooms was a red flag, but not sure what else we're supposed to do if we want to try clothes on. This does not make a very welcoming environment for shoppers. Not quite sure why we were singled out of all the patrons there, but the employees at this location should be more careful about the way the conduct themselves. Someone could easily accuse them of racial profiling since it didn't seem like the other shoppers were receiving the same treatment (I made sure to watch as soon as I realized what they were doing). Definitely would not recommend shopping this location. There's a Target right next door and a Ross down the street that have similar if not better selections and don't make you feel like a criminal for walking through the door. read more

Out of a handful of Marshalls I've ever walked into, I would have to say this one is probably cleanest and most organized. *clap-clap! The shoe department is pretty decent and the best part is that they carry a lot of size 7, holllllla! (That's super rare in The Bay, lol). Also it's nice not trippin on shoe boxes which would normally be all over the floor at other Marshalls. For my visit, I had plans of only coming in to buy a backpack. Come to find as soon as I came in- they were to the left since their hearing up for "Back to School" season. Selection for adults was slim pickin' but they have a lot of superhero theme and girls pink back packs. I found a decent one for $29.99/ normally $49.99 so I was all 'bout it. As far as the clothing section. Nothing to complain about. It too was clean and organized... and also carried a lot of size small/medium, double yay! I will definitely return for more future discounted visits. Plus, one the register ladies is super sweet and totally made my day! read more

I love me some deals and this Marshalls did not disappoint. Flipping through the clearance rack I found an incredible bathing suit that made me smile for the grand price of $4. $4 y'all!! Yes, it's the middle of winter but I come from a city of indoor pools. (So if you guys ever see me at the rec center pool, you'll know how much I paid for this delightful garment.) I didn't have as much off-season success with the booties but DID find some rather cute knit dusters that helped keep me warm during the rest of the trip...for like $12 each. People, they kept me warm in like 40 degree weather. This place had all the standard things one comes to expect from a Marshalls: Tidy, well organized stuff, cashiers who do rather nice folding, and the random woman having a nice chat on her cell phone while shopping. read more

I would not recommend coming here. The limitations on anything decent is ridiculous. The womens shoe selection is very slim and perhaps the worse selection Walmart has a better selection and I don't even buy shoes there. The clothes look like leftover Ross pickings, and the kids section is shameful, if your looking for size 8 and up look somewhere else unless you need swim trunks. The pants and shorts were so limited- if I wanted to put sweat shorts on my kid- I could of just alert all of his winter pants. I've only been to Marshalls once or twice before in other cities, but after today's trip I'll definitely be checking them out a lot more. I might even travel down to this location, which is far from me, because the customer service is so good. My friend dragged me in here because she was looking for some specific items and as soon as I walked in, I felt the shopping rush hit me and I was off among the other Sunday shoppers, looking for gold. I did end up finding something I took home with me and this was after I had asked a sales associate to take something off of a mannequin and been to the fitting room twice. The sales associate I asked to help me get a piece of clothing off of a mannequin was so nice and helpful, as was the dressing room attendant who cheered me on after I was able to successfully hunt down an item I wanted in my size. This store has a lot of stuff and I could spend hours in here, but then I would be broke and sad(well, just sad, because I'm already broke). It is a bit of organized chaos, which I knew was just the way the store was laid out, so I wasn't turned off by it. It's clean and there is some order to the madness. Take your time and find your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The icing on the cake for me was the checkout clerk at the end. She was incredibly personable, friendly, funny, just the right amount of well placed sass, and I could tell she brings her A game to work everyday. I appreciate that. Overall, a great store. I usually don't like coming to these kind of stores because I hate digging through the racks and not finding anything. Surprisingly, this store is super clean and not cluttered at all. They have a good selection of named brand merchandise at comparable prices. The couple of visits I've scored some good deals. Got New Balance workout capris and sports bra, Under Armour shorts and Nike shorts for the bf all for $70. Way better than paying retail prices at the mall. I've also purchased other workout paraphernalia for super cheap. On my recent visit today, I didn't find anything, but did see some cute tank tops for the upcoming summer. This location is clean but when you walk into this store, realize you might spend a lot of time going through the racks and racks of clothing. Don't get me wrong. I love finding bargains and deals on cute clothes. If the husband isn't with me, much time can be spent here. I usually find something that I need to try on. The lady working the fitting rooms is always pleasant and happy. On certain occasions you may even see her dancing along to the store music! She certainly is having fun. The checkout clerks are also very friendly to me. A few of them have been very talkative and helpful. Firstly, the great thing about this Marshalls is the close proximity to my house. Secondly, the selection is better organized and makes me feel saturated with more choices at this location. not sure if they hired new cashiers but one of their young female associates was super rude. I was trying to use my card and the chip is ruined, tried to insert twice so I could swipe. She rudely said "if you're broke just say that" I finally got to swipe after and my card went through. She turned to an associate and made fun of my appearance. Apparently that was her manager. I watched as my sister began to check out. while I waited, she dropped some money on the floor before closing the drawer. Not sure why but that's kind of suspicious? Definitely won't be coming back, id say try tjmaxx and leave this store as a last resort read more

Somethings i find to be a little over priced.. especially when it is not name brand. They have great housewares! Pots pans, utensils! And luggage.. GREAT as well. If your a purse fan this might be the place for you they always have a large selection! Shoes.. a hit or miss too. sad they dont always have my size when i find the one i like and must have! We have Marshall's at home but happened upon the Eastern Blvd. store when we were on our way to another destination. I found a few cute blouses and a badly needed hair product. The hair product didn't have the complete tag on it and someone had to get that information. Rachel was our cashier. She was very courteous and apolologetic for the wait. I would love to leave a great review for the store. On the whole the store is clean and well stocked and the cashiers keep things moving along. There was just one problem that I couldn't overlook. My niece and I were walking through the beauty section and she stepped in something that someone had spilled on the floor. It was black and messy and she had it all over her shoe. She wiped her shoe on the floor to get it off and then we went to find someone to inform of the spill. We searched all over for an associate but couldn't find one. We ended up telling the Fitting Room attendant. She called someone to clean it up. The woman who came to clean it up couldn't even find it, my niece showed her where it was. This lady was LOUDLY irritated about it. She made a huge complaint about the mess. I get it, we've all worked retail, people do cruddy things. We all get mad about it...but take it to the break room and cry on it, don't do that in front of customers. My niece and I walked back in that direction to meet up with my daughter. The associate was now wiping up the mess with paper towels while another associate stood there listening to her be angry. She finally says "and someone stepped in it! They couldn't see it? They saw it! They stepped all in it!". My niece is hearing this and it's looking at me. I can tell she's getting really upset about it. Boom. I'm done. I was equally as irritated as she was now. I told her "It was my niece, my 12 year old niece who stepped in it. She didn't see it because we were looking at the shelves and not the floor. As soon as she stepped in it we went to find someone and tell them about the mess. So no, she DIDN'T see it, and if she had, she wouldn't have stepped in it." This woman couldn't even find it when she was directed to clean it up, so why is she mad that someone didn't see it?! Now she's quiet. I set down the things I was planning to buy because I wasn't buying anything from them now and asked my niece if she still wanted to buy the candle she had picked up. The candle had her name on it and so she decided to spend her money there. I know that customers do some crappy stuff. We've all been responsible for cleaning up after someone careless in our lives while at work. But again man, go into the break room and handle that. Complain all you want to your coworkers. As I stated above, the store was clean, the fitting room attendant was a pleasure and the cashiers were quick and smiling. It was just this one lady making it ugly. Please Marshall's management, let your staff know that unfortunately they will have to clean up after cruddy customers sometimes, but that they are more than welcome to holler about it in the break room not on the sales floor. Ran into Marshalls today to purchase a gift card the store was busy and check out line was big didn't mind waiting tho moved quickly how ever there had been a spill towards the front of the line that a employee had been attempting to clean but didn't fully get all the spill picked up looked like a oil or lotion substance on the floor as I approached the register to pay I slipped but did not fall I notified the cashier of the spill and received attitude from I'm assuming a supervisor or clown in charge as I notified her that there was still slippery residue on the floor and if they could please give it another cleaning so that no one else would slip she sassed me and said we already cleaned it I replied well someone is gunna fall u have a like of 10+ people waiting and if it was not me falling maybe some else would she seemed to disregard me I told her if she could please go stand by the spill or put up the wet floor sign ... over all they may have been stressed out by the busyness of the store but customer safety should always come first and the attitude was uncalled for when I was just trying to help... will be contacting corporate since I frequent this store read more

I finally went shopping after being on lock down for so long & it was wonderful! As soon as i walked in i was greet with a freshly sanitizer cart - a gallon of hand sanitizer and it smelled so clean like sanitized clean!!! It was awesome. Now maybe the racks could be a bit more separate but overall the experience was great! I have been back twice since. I just feel comfortable there and it's a good place to shop and get a change of scenery. The staff is awesome here. And they are really in too if things like keep social distance, sanitizing those carts, wiping down the station after each customer.
