    The item:

The only person there who actually had a personality was the cool, tall guy sweeping the floors. I wanted a product with missing items and damaged packaging because it was the only one left. I asked the person at the register if there was any more, and they said no. They told me that they were probably going to end up throwing the damaged item away. I then asked if I could still have the item, as I really wanted it. They then asked another employee and she took around 8 minutes to put a pricetag on the item for $4 when the other worker had already stated that they were just going to end up throwing it away. AWFUL customer service, and only 2 out of 8 registers open. Would not come again.

I almost always leave this Marshall's with something in hand. Recently went for a yoga mat and found a really nice high quality one, very thick, comfortable, biodegradable, and free of questionable chemicals (always a plus!). I also got a face towel for yoga as well as a yoga mat back carrier which has a zippered pocket to put keys, cell phone, or something small in. I like to go here around Christmas time because I always find great, affordable stocking stuffers. I also like their beauty section because every once in a while I can find organic and chemical free skin products / make up / and/or hair care. I wish they had a better selection of purses like the ones that are in the Sudbury TJ Maxx. I know, 2 different stores, but they are both TJX companies along with Homegoods. Nice, clean, roomy and fairly new (just a few years old) TJ Maxx. The store is very spacious and…read morewell lit. All the signage they have are very well positioned and very well marked. I got a few minor electronic items that are a great deal. Yes Dollar Tree is cheaper, but sometimes they don't have the name brands nor the selection that TJ Maxx would have. I also think the quality of these small electronic items is better here. The company roots date back to 1976, when Bernard (Ben) Cammarata, General Merchandising Manager of Marshalls at the time, was recruited by discount retailer, Zayre to develop and spearhead the launch of a new off-price chain selling family apparel and home fashions. Under Mr. Cammarata's leadership, T.J. Maxx was born, with its first stores opening in 1977. In the late 1980s, Zayre was restructured and spun off three of its brands -- T.J. Maxx, Hit or Miss, and Chadwick's of Boston -- which served as the initial retail banners of what would become The TJX Companies. TJX continued to grow steadily over the years, opening stores in new markets, countries, and continents, launching new chains, and acquiring other retailers, to bring its popular off-price model to an even wider network of customers who love the eclectic mix of quality, fashionable, brand name apparel and home fashions, all at amazing value. I am sold !!!!
