Sad to say this Marshall's customer service is very poor. They mistagged a pair of shoes I brought up to the counter to purchase and made me wait 10 minutes for the sales rep to run around and find a manger. The manager then explained that the item was priced wrong at which I explained that's not my problem or fault as the customer. At this point I was told I would have to wait longer for them to find the correct price! Just so inconsiderate to me and the fact that they PRICED the item $20 with a full tag on it not a sticker so clearly it was done by the which means they should honor it. I left because I didn't want to wait longer and felt they were disorganized and had no concern for me as the customer clearly in a rush and just trying to buy a pair of sandals. Don't rely on the mom to price their items right as the manager also said this happens a lot their so they can't honor the wrong price, meaning their sales department makes Continuous mistakes. I pop in here every time I need something specific and have always found it easily. This is he cleanest and most organized Marshall's I've been to. There's a really nice girl named Ana that works there. I've seen her a couple times and she's always got a smile and willing to help. read more

Very low prices and great selection. Just need to shop on the right day. Go early.

Bad customer service. Wanted to return something given to me as a gift. Of course, the price sticker had been taken off and the item was somewhat trivial so no gift receipt. The manager Ramila was militaristic in dealing with the problem. No customer accommodation was given. I walked out of the store peeved with the way I had been treated and the lack of customer service. My experience is telling me to never shop at Marshall's again and certainly never the Encino store. read more

I'm in line to pay. There are 10 people in line and only 2 cashiers open. I had to ask three times to call for another cashier before they responded with we are busy. If you have 20 minutes to wait in line, go there. Customer service is not in the vocabulary here. read more

It's 3:30 on a weekday and the line is nearly out the door. Employees don't care. Literally didn't move for 10 mins. One customer asked for the managers info and the employee didn't even know who's info to give. I have patience for discount places but today was over the top bad. read more

I was just at Marshalls with my family shopping where I found two cute pairs of J.S. Sandals. One was regular price and the other was 22.00 on clearance. As we where ready to pay for our merchandise, the cashier, Eliza, tells me why is this 22.00, insinuating that I had to do something with it. I told her I don't know that I don't have the price gun to change prices if that is what you mean. Then she called supposedly manager, Samantha to verify the price. As my family was waiting, I went back to the same area to check the rest of them. They were all marked at 22.00. I return to the register Samantha tells me it is 28.00 you can either take it for this price or just don't get it. I told her this pair was 22.00 how did it change to 28.00.. my husband stated that they just tagged it with a new price. She said yes this it this is the price. So I go back to the rack and grab two more boxes to show them the prices. They started laughing as if I don't know what I am talking about and making fun of me in front of the customers. I didn't buy those shoes. I asked for the district managers' first name last name they right on a piece of paper Eliza. So I saw the name tag that was the cashier. I told them this is not the district manager then they right Samantha. Then I inquire if this is the DM then they right Erick and they tell me he is here every day. Then I tell them DMs don't work at a store level everyday in one store. Then they tell me he is the manager. Eventually they wrote the name Karen and none of these names with last name. What a joke these employees are. What an embarrassment to the company? Above all what a customer service? read more

I found two identical Kate Spade purses right next to each other, one $99 and one $129. I wanted them both, but of course I would have liked to pay $99 for each. Manager (Ramila or something to that extent) checks them out with their handheld device and claims the $99 tag doesn't match the item's description and she's insisting she can only sell them to me at $129. So if I were to buy just one and would have picked the one with the $99 tag, that's what I would have paid. But since I brought their tagging mistake to their attention, I got myself into paying $129. I liked them so I bought them both at $129 each... A few days later, I find a third identical purse in a different Marshalls. Guess how much it was? $99! LIARS & THIEVES! read more

I have been here many times because it is really close to my house and very cheap. It is not quite as cheap as Ross, but it does have shoes that are to die for and often brand name items for a lot less than designer prices. I usually find something that is cheap and is really cute. Love this place and will always keep going back! read more

Can you say "snooty?" I had purchased approximately $150 worth of clothing at a Marshalls in North Hills. I tried on the items after bringing them home and decided I only like 2 shirts. I kept the bag in my car and went to my dentist in Encino so this is the ONLY reason why I was returning my items (with a receipt) to this store. Also, once I pick through a store I'd rather try a different spot to see if I can find new stuff. Well the manager approached me to approve the return...okay that's normal right? Then she proceeds to tell me that I can't return items over $100 at a different Marshalls. Ummmmmm where is that in your store policy??? Hahhaha it's not she made that up. Since she couldn't produce this "policy" I let her know that the items would need to be returned to her Encino store because the tags are on, clothes are unworn, and I have a receipt that was only 4 days old. The pretentious stuff doesn't appeal to me...keep your snooty discount clothes. Def won't be back to this location. read more

huge fan of this location because they have the best selection, you can find a lot of rare finds here and the prices are of course wonderful! I love this store, I spend hours here just strolling through looking for the top of the line stuff they have to offer. read more

Don't expected any customer service form this location, especially if you are in the store an hour before closing. Oh and don't commit the cardinal sin of using the provided mirrors to see if a jacket fits. Worst customer service on the planet. Horrible language barrier. They have a line a mile long and instead of getting people up to help... they let those who are on the floor stay on the floor. Waited in line for 20 minutes. When I first got there I asked... "can I write a check?" They said "of course". I didn't have a cc on me. But after waiting 20 minutes in a line of about 1/2 dozen people... they couldn't accept the check because there was something wrong with their system. I asked them if they could hold on to my stuff until tomorrow morning and they said "no". They were very rude and pudding everyone off. read more

Marshalls on Ventura Blvd in Encino, Cal is the worst store in USA. never experience such an abuse in this country. Horrible pushy and aggressive manager Maria from Third world dealing with customers like we are in 3d world country. i purchased an item which happened to be an open item and took it home to use but realized it was broken. took it bach the next day, the teller call her supervisor and both declined to take it back. i insisted to see the manager and Maria, the aggressive ignorant rude women didn't take the item back or exchange. She claimed that the item was used and couldn't take it back. i explained taht "i tried to use it but realized it was broken and i am bringing it back" but the rude and ignorant manager, Maria kept saying "we cant get an used item back. this is a scam. this store is a scam. they bring open items and second hand merchandises and selling it almost at the same price than other quality stores and regardless they know the items are open, they refuse to take it back. since last year, the prices went up like from a $12 to $40 and quality is gliding down. i wonder who owns the franchise, not Americans for sure. don't bother going there. read more

This place has the best stuff for less even better than Ross! Good prices for stuff that in the malls is double. You can literally find anything here for the house or just for your own wardrobe. Im always a happy shopper when I get out of here! buy my husband nice clothes as well and he loves it! read more

EXTREMLY NOT HAPPY . First the customer service at the cashier was TERRIBLE. I got two of the EXACT same things (make up brushes) and one was more expensive for the exact same thing. I asked the manager why? And she said that the shipment came in on two different days and that if I do not want to pay the different price then maybe we should get rid of one. I spent over 160 dollars in this store and they couldn't give me the discounted price for one of the make up brushes just because the shipment came in on a different day????? MAKES NO SENSE . Also, I bought a pair of shoes and they didn't have a price tag so the lady got a random other pair of shoes and charged it and I told her those were the shoes I was buying and in a loud rude tone she said I ALREADY KNOW !! . And on top of it the customer service from both the cashier and Manager were awful.I left this store extremely upset . I will not be returning to this marshalls . read more
