I ran to a few Marshall's looking for a MK long sleeve black shirt with MK logos all over shirt I was looking for I called Bell Gardens spoke to Mohammed in the men's department and he provided me with the best customer service. He put the shirt on hold 4 me and I was a very happy camper! I hope management the owners are reading reviews and giving there employees recognition. The management here is the worst. They're allowing their employees to return items without proper IDs, the cashiers are always gossiping during customer transactions, and then they fail to provide receipts within the merchandise bag, because they're so distracted. Angela, the manager was very rude and rushed us through our whole return experience. One of your team members made me cry, I stood in the wrong line and after 30 mins they told me I couldn't return my item. I go to this marshalls and I like it but I don't oftenly find things for myself that I really like. I like the 70s style bell bottoms, and more dresses that look actually nice. Please don't sell long dresses that look like so cheap. Sell dresses that look good quality and cheaper price. No one's rich in america. The only way to be rich is that you have to disobey God's law. I expect that they sell brands for cheaper price.They don't sell good brands like Jessica simpson shoes that actually look nice anymore. They just give leftovers from other stores. Now they are turning into Nordstrom prices. Marshalls' isn't cheap anymore like it's supposed to be. They are blood thirsty for money too. A pack of earrings is 12 dollars that's too much with the way our economy is. They want people to be in debt. Plus the tjx and marshalls cards charge way too much interest and how the cashiers ask you to apply for a tjx card and try to force you to get one is rude. I would give this store a zero if I could. They sell good items but the customer service is terrible. Restrooms are closed but they said they don't put signs because customers don't read them. So they prefer having their customers wait until they reach a customer representative to find out they are closed. Also the store representative was extremely rude and disrespectful to multiple customers. This is one less family that will be shopping at Marshall's. Diamond in the ruff anyone? This Marshalls is the absolute best Marshalls I have ever had the pleasure of blowing money on. I stepped in and I saw little cupids flying around in diapers playing that song by Etta James "At Last". A couple great buys I found here: Juicy Couture plaid wide legged wool trousers for - have a seat now - $15 marked down from $160, a super hot white dress shirt for 12.99, Matt&Nat purse $40 and more...Woohoo! That's not all, they had a ton of them, now I know how it is shopping at places like Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, etc. because it takes too long, hard to find the right size. Ladies! Come on! Where are the cojones! Shopping is a the purest form of treasure hunt you gotta work for it! I love the satisfaction of looking through aisles and finding little jems. This Marshalls was well set up had a LOT of great household items, a wide selection of high end labels (I did mention my new Juicy pants) and I got a great outfit there. Worst customer service of any Marshalls I've been to. Employees are rude and unhelpful. They also like to come up with fake policies and site them as store policy. Holiday return policy ended January 23, yet they claimed it ended January 21. Also said unused holiday clothing items can't be returned because it's stated in the policy yet I've reviewed policy and there is no mention of it. A bonus is that the lines are usually always long and cashiers are slow. read more

The manager Tamara I think her name is, is very rude. An elderly customer fell in the store last week and i assisted her to make sure she wasn't seriously injured. The poor lady hurt her wrist. I was by her side trying to help and the store manager was very rude to me. She didn't like that I was talking to the lady and rudely asked if I was representing her. I was so upset that all she cared about was getting the lady out of the store. I insisted they offer her some aid and I think that's what upset the manager. I think she trief taking advantage of the older lady because she was by alone and vulnerable. We soon found out her husband was somewhere inside the store. Thank God because I didn't trust the manager one bit. Their layout for the luggage was an accident waiting to happen which is why the lady lost her footing and fell back. They have the luggage on top of tables but the tables are flat on the floor. See photo. I suggested they change it and it made the manager more upset and rude and confrontational. There's something about searching for great styles and great prices that makes the shopping experience so much more fun.  This location has a good selection of everything! Although, it can be quite a mess to look through.  Just make sure you have a good hour to spare to search the store. Love looking through their activewear section and checking out their home section.  Bought three capri leggings for under $20! They have pretty big shoe section, but unfortunately not in my size. I love to shop here. Good prices and I love the variety of products I'd have to go elsewhere for all under one roof. The problem is, the place is messy and not enough employees on the floor. The ones I've ran into are not helpful, nor do they offer to assist with anything. They always look like they're in bad moods and don't want to be at work. He greeted me early in the a.m. but I do remember that store being super clean and he was on his A game there. Apparently this Marshalls location runs heir own show! You apparently cannot make a return or exchange of a product if the purchase was made on the same day due to their idea that the receipt is not on file till 24 hrs later. Which is completely RIDICULOUS!!! So why is it that when they mess up your purchase they can make the return there and then and make the purchase again? I walked in seeking to return a pair of baby shoes that didn't fit my niece and I was told (by Natalie) I would have to go back to the Marshalls I made the purchase at tomorrow (after the 24 hrs) so, I became upset because by then the store manager (Joanne) came by to explain their policy that is not written anywhere on the receipt or near the cash register. When I explained that I couldn't come back the following day due to work she gave me no other solution and brushed me off. Therefore, I called the Marshalls I originally purchased the shoes from and they confirmed that they MUST do the return because the shoes were not damaged and had original tags on, I made a debit purchase which is almost like cash and I provided them with the original receipt !!! As I walked away upset from their register I overhear them laugh which is completely fine, I just won't return to this location! And I advise you dont either because they have poor customer service, people skills and common sense! Is it more that they don't want a loss for their store location with my return? I will call corporate and report this matter, WHY? 1. It was unpleasant and an inconvenience for me to drive back to the Marshalls location I made the purchase at when I was near home. 2. In the name off all of those customers that do not drive and can possibly face this situation. Marshalls openly took my money yet wont give it back, this is the last time I make any purchase at this store!!! I"d give it 2.5. The check out women are always nice and they have a huge shoe collection. I wouldn't buy 98% of it, but it's better than other Marshalls. It's next to a crappy Ross, so that makes it seem better. I've found quite a few purses, jeans, pants and random stuff... Just not shirts or jackets. It always seems disorganized, but that may be par for the course.. at this location it seems like they spread out the shoes that they want to sell into the clothes area so you can't really look at the racks. It kinda sucks because 2 people just don't fit so you have to do that weird, excuse me can you step back to the aisle so I can get in when you get to the middle. it's just weird. And sadly the home part is horrifying. Nothing is organized and most of it looks like my dog ran into the rack and it's a jumble. The picture frames are nicked, the books look like a bunch of people read them and returned them and the food/candles look like people opened them to smell them. No way I can buy anything that I'm going to gift. It's sad. This store was much better run a few years ago. I think I even wrote a review. Jenn T's review is from 07 and is much better. I hope that this Marshall's steps up. I go there before I go to the bike, so presumably, I have money to spend... and likely so do a lot of other women. read more

I bought a cell phone car charger for $5 It didn't fit my phone so I take it back and the girl at the register is like "I'm sorry we can't refund you this item because the charger doesn't match the packaging" WTF I bought it at this store... Asked to speak to the store manager which btw was the one that rang me up when i purchased the dam thing. I got my money back, but the whole point was ridiculous. It happened with some Bear Paws boots I bought there also couldn't return them because I had removed the tags and they no longer sold them ( two weeks after I bought em). They have really great selection here and I typically don't have anything to complain about when I go here but last night, I picked up a glass jar that was not visibly broken. When I went to put it down, that's when I realized the back right bottom corner of the jar was broken and it had cut my finger pretty deep. My wife went and found a sales associate to let her know and they told her they would send someone. I happen to have found someone close and told her what happened without leaving the jar out of sight for someone else to get hurt. She sent me to the bathroom to wash my hands off and followed me to give me alcohol pads and a bandaid while telling people in her walkie that I was ok and she was with me. As I finished and was leaving the bathroom she said "are you ok?" I said yes I'm fine. She then said "do you have a TJ Maxx rewards card?" I was shocked and told her no and she proceeded by saying "do you want to sign up for one?" I told her no thank you and she continued to push and say "are you sure?" I was beyond shocked!! I was just bleeding in front of you and instead of filling out an incident report, you push for me to open a credit card!?!?!? That was ridiculous!!!!! read more

I came here to shop earlier today and the employees are rude and unhelpful. Natalie gave me attitude when I was standing by the shoe area. Later I found out she and her manager (Joanne) had informed my sister that she couldn't return an item that was purchased earlier today at the Marshalls in Downey. This is inconvenient for anyone to tell you especially when you have every right to return any item you don't want and you have the receipt. This store just doesn't want to accommodate returns. And due to their lack of professionalism and motivation to work they have bad customer service. I had no share in that incident and I should not have b en given attitude as I'm a paying customer regardless of who I come in with. I'm sure you can read my sisters experience once she puts her review up for this place. My wife and I shop here a lot. The prices are pretty accessible do to the fact that we are low income. Unfortunately, my wife bought four chairs from this store. I mean this is supposed to be new merchandise. Today after we've had these chairs for about one month and five days, while my wife was sitting on one, one of the legs just gave in. My wife has back surgery and she landed on the floor. Well of course we did what anybody would have done. Took them back to get a refund because we did not want to take any other risk of this happening again to another chair. We got to the store and we could only fit two in our car. When we approached a marshals representative she told us to go ahead and go get the other two, which then I drove back home again to pick up. Upon arriving to the store again and after we had explained what had happened she told us she was sorry but she would be unable to give our money back ( $440.00). That she would only be able to give us store credit. We told her that if they had any other chairs we would gladly take them, but they did not. But she was relentless. So I then ask to speak to a manager. The manager came after a few minutes. I then explained to her the same scenario. To my surprise she told me exactly the same thing. Store credit. I proceeded to explain to her that this was a unique circumstance because they had sold a defective product. Therefore, we couldn't have known one of the chairs going to break and send my wife to the floor. Otherwise we would never have bought these chairs in the first place. But again, the same answer (store credit). I mean if this was a $30 - $40 dollar purchase we would have no problem and issue resolved. But it's a $440 purchase and we no longer have our old chairs. I guess they want us to sit on the floor. Well I then proceeded to ask for the general manager or next level support. Big mistake. Well her name's Roxanne. Do not ever deal with her. She acted in the most unprofessional way. Her tone of voice and demeanor was extremely RUDE. She told us she was not going to exchange anything and even if they did not have other chairs to replace them she was not going to give our money back. I tried explaining to her over and over that this could potentially have legal ramifications because of my wife who had back surgery had landed on the floor because of this defective chair. Relentless just like the others. Except, she gave us back the receipts and just said "I have nothing to talk to you about" and she stared walking away without the issue being resolved. I asked her please don't do this, we are low income consumers who gave your store the business. It took us a long time to save enough to purchase these chairs. She continued to walk away and and told my wife who is disabled, my mother in law who is almost eighty and myself " now if you can please leave". I told her I was going to to report her to the corporate office. But all she said was "bye, bye, bye. I'd like to know who hires these individuals who represent a nationwide store such as Marshalls. Somebody please advise. These women were obviously on a power trip. read more
