I noticed it didn't seem to be as popular as some of the other options, so I have to say... don't sleep on this delightful, light, brothy wine stew! Each piece of seafood was perfectly poached, soaking up all that delicious flavor while adding its own sweet seafood lovin' to the broth. The steak was also cooked perfectly. I've done the beverage pairing both times, and while I enjoyed the experience, I don't think I'll order it again--I'm just not an egg cream girl. My friend happily enjoyed it for both of us, though! Another wonderful meal and definitely a place I'll return to.

They have a rolling menu which changes every few days with an app and a few entree and dessert options. While limited, it does prevent analysis paralysis. You have the option of ordering a la carte or getting prie fixe which essentially takes $1 off each course. We went with the prie fixe and I got the drink pairing as well. Overall, enjoyed the dining experience. Didn't really like their aperitif drink but the rest of the drinks and entrees were good. My wife wolfed down the flourless Choco cake. Their egg cream dessert drink tasted like Xmas and was just the right amount. My only criticism is that service pretty much died after the entrees. We had to ask for our dessert ourselves but other than that, had a great experience and would come back.

We eventually joined the monthly bottle membership, which probably says everything about how often this place works for us. The bruschetta boards are generously portioned with enough variety to lean savory, sweet or somewhere deliciously in between, and they pair perfectly with an easy bottle of wine. It's casual enough for a spontaneous stop but still feels polished enough to make an ordinary evening feel like a treat. One of the highlights is when they open the large bar windows and the whole space shifts into that indoor-outdoor mode. You can sit inside, outside or right along the open-air edge and enjoy the best of both. We've even come here after a full dinner somewhere else just to linger, lounge and finish the night with another pour. Postino has easily become a San Antonio spot for relaxed sips, shareable bites and easy neighborhood vibes.

The bruschetta flight was wheat bread (yuckyyy) and the toppings were skimped on. Flavor was not there for the food. I forced myself to eat it all too because I refuse to waste food in this economy but my bf didn't like any so I was accepting the challenge Wine was a basic glass and the atmosphere is kinda odd aesthetic. Not sure what their vibes or theme is. Kinda just plain. One bartender and she was kinda spacey and ppl were flagging her down for service. There was a man next to us at the bar and he was clearly a regular. He knew bartenders name and she knew his and the conversation was more professional / business customer service than friend. He said his meatballs didn't taste normal or good and I heard the bartender tell him either the chef quit or is on vacation and someone else was back there. He sent it back but was trying to tell her he didn't want another one but she got a manager and came out they said they were sorry and making him another one. Not sure if I went on a one off but I doubt I'll be back if in the area.

Our server was great - knowledgable about the menu and personable. We had a nice meal here and I ended it with delicious coffee. We both ordered from the Restaurant Week 3-Course menu. My friend tried: -Toasted Cauliflower Soup with Pumpkin and Sesame Seeds -Crispy Smoked Quail with Pickled Corn Relish and Mashed Potatoes I tried: -Red Pear and Spinach Salad with Radicchio, Pecans, White Cheddar and Sherry Vinaigrette -Halibut with Green Pepper, White Beans, Castelvetrano Olives and Herbs For dessert: -Caramelized Fig and Ricotta Upside-Down Cake with Pistacio Crumble and Mascarpone We both got the same dessert and it was delicous! Served warm and comforting - like butter cake! Heavy, but veryyyyyy good. Ambiance is nice bc it's inside the beautiful Hotel Emma and on the River Walk with a lovely patio overlooking the water. My wife and I went to Supper at Hotel Emma for our anniversary, and we couldn't have asked for a better evening. We sat at the kitchen bar, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. It was so much fun watching the chefs work, and everyone in the kitchen was incredibly friendly, personable, and welcoming. To make the night even more special, they prepared a few dishes specifically for our anniversary. That personal touch meant so much to us and made the entire evening feel truly memorable. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the experience and the people. Supper went above and beyond to make our anniversary feel special, and we left feeling like we had celebrated somewhere truly unique. I'd highly recommend Supper at Hotel Emma for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. If you're lucky enough to sit at the kitchen bar, definitely do it!

This review I dug up is from a while ago, things may have changed…read more February 2020 was my first time at Savor (CIA) restaurant in the Pearl complex of San Antonio. By going on a Wednesday (around 7:30 PM) we were able to find parking and be seated without a reservation, but I recommend planning ahead other nights as the area gets very busy (and noting their hours). It was a pretty compact space, no lighting issues, but also quite noisy. My companion and I had to concentrate on each other to carry on conversation. We each ordered the four course menu, which lets you pick one of an item from each course, and I added a wine flight. We each took a bite of each other's food for maximum exploration. Keep in mind this is a training restaurant, and part of the proceeds go toward culinary scholarships. I can distill the experience into three points: The food was very good, the chefs-in-training are talented; The wine flight was disappointing; The server was warm but still in need of training. Dishes I got to try include the Hamachi Crudo, Steamed Blue Mussels, Tartar Brulee, Strip Sirloin, Grilled Pork Tenderloin and Belly, and Chocolate Souffle. The Hamachi was excellent, as were the mussels with potatoes and garlic (someone didn't share her chorizo with me). The main course strip sirloin was also excellent, and better than the grilled pork I chose. The steak was tender and moist. I gravitate toward pork belly items, but this pork was a tad dry. The chocolate souffle wowed my partner, but I found the cocoa note not to be to my liking, perhaps too bitter. I should add that the plates are quite small, so you may not leave full if you're very hungry. Before going into the negative, let me say the food was a fun experience, and I'd go back for another multi-course meal, or to explore the bar bites menu. The wine flight was a letdown, as it was small pours of mild wine, served with two word descriptions, one of which was plain wrong. I don't drink much wine, but I've had enough to know that these wines were probably chosen to be the least offensive. A small pour of a bold drink can have quite some value, but the small pours exacerbated the boringness. The wine service largely informs my opinion the server needs improvement/was likely early on her training rotation. I also had to plate swap with my companion when I was served her mussels. People trying and improving are to be expected at a training or test kitchen, so I appreciate her effort and ability to keep my water glass at least half full. We ended up being quite happy with the food and experience, which was good overall as a date night, but could've been better with a revamp of the wine pairing, or me electing not to have wine. I can't see myself going on my own given the price point of the courses, but I like to treat my partner. I'd recommend it if you're curious about the budding chefs or specific menu items, but be wary of the wine flight.

We were seated right away, we chose the chef's table because we had already eaten dinner at home, but just wanted to go out for a stroll around the pearl and grab some dessert. We ordered the lemon blueberry Panna cotta and not only is it delicious but it's also beautiful! It looks like a work of art. I ordered one of their craft beers and we got some french fries on the side just to offset the sweet. Definitely a great dessert if you are not wanting something too sweet or two filling. We also had the snapper throats and loved them. The aioli was a great sauce with them. I had the gulf catch of the day, which was grouper, and it was so good. Great seasoning, perfectly flaky and moist, a nice crust on the outside. With that we had some jalapeno corn bread which was also delicious. Not too dry at all. I was hoping for it to be spicy but it was not. For dessert, I gad panna cotta and it was a great ending. Not too sweet, but the berries made up for that. The lavender meringue bites had a great crunch. Our server (Maya) was excellent. She was so friendly and helpful. Finally, the decor is unmatched anywhere. It used to be a brewery and they kept the old pipes and valves, which look very cool. It has a great vibe. I highly recommend. Without the need to, I'll mention anyway that it's not cheap. But it's worth it.
