I base this review on only one sandwich duo The Buffy. Someone showed me the menu and I was in a hurry and chose this because the description of the ingredients clicked in my head as potentially delicious. Garlic and blue cheese and scallion and Hawaiian bread. (Not a fan of the slider since 20 years ago. Suspicious of sweet bread.) I think it has bacon too. The Buffy. Jeepers that burger was tasty. And it had a shocking heft--and a twin. The generously sized sandwich is really no two-bite affair unless you're ravenous--there are two patties if I think a quarter pound each?. The patty is beefy and tastes beefy. The flavors and textures AND THAT SCALLION! are balanced and well considered. I had someone bring these back to me from the truck and they were room temperature and cooling by the time I got to them and still such a killer burger. (I can't address the ambiance or service. If it looks like a truck and they are salty with you, smile and order these sliders.) I did not expect a bad burger, but I am delighted to have left "okay" in the dust for planet Remarkably Tasty. These folks are so rude. They are unorganized with big groups. They just throw orders out on the shelf for anyone to take. Then when you ask about it, they say " well you ordered wrong!" . The food was ok ,but nothing to ensure crummy service for. The replies to the reviews are incredibly unprofessional. Order here at your own risk. The food truck is in a different location every day so be sure to follow their Facebook page to see where they will be next.The peanut butter and jelly slider was actually one of my favorites. They make the flavors work! However, for being sliders, I think they had too much hamburger meat which overpowered the flavors of the sliders. Normally, I'm not opposed to bigger servings of food but my idea of sliders is something that should be more delicate and savory, not have a hefty hamburger patty on it. I found Slider Provider at the Essex Modern City Second Saturday Night event in January 2019. This is the first place I have seen them, but hope to see them around town again! They have a variety of options and would like to sample some more. The sliders were so juicy and make a great snack as you hangout here! Each order also comes with a bag of Vicky's chips. For the sliders, I chose the beef option, but you can also choose chicken. I had the Lil' Kahuna, Cowboy From Hell, and Chuck Norris (from my picture left to right). Lil' Kahuna had a great mix of full flavor and the pineapples weren't too overwhelming. The Cowboy From Hell was truly spicy and flavorful if you need some heat. I really don't like leaving reviews unless I really really like a place, but I think it's only fair that I review places I'm also lukewarm on. Slider provider was that for me, lukewarm. First let me say the menu is fun. A whole lot of options for toppings above and beyond the norm. But I'm a simple eater so the fault may be with me. So outside the menu they allowed me to order my sliders with just cheese and bacon. I wanted a baseline before I jumped into peanut butter and jelly and the like. And while you could tell the meat was a good quality beef, it had absolutely no flavor. No seasoning. I don't think it even had salt. The meat was crazy bland. My son got the kids order with just meat and bread and he did not finish even one. He didn't like the lack of flavor. He did eat the bread which are the Hawaiian rolls and we all love those. And of course he ate the chips they serve with the burgers. I had his mom with me as well and she was more adventurous and tried some of the burgers that were on the menu, which she enjoyed. So I think the toppings probably help out a good deal. Drink choices are pretty minimal but just bring your own if that's an issue. So in closing I think it comes down to if you're adventurous and want to try the many different combos they offer, you'll probably like it. If you're a simple eater like me and my son, the lack of flavor may not be to your liking. I'll give them a try again if I'm hungry and they're near. But we went out our way to find them this time and I don't think I'll do that again. read more

I got to say I was disappointed today. I have eaten here several times. But today everything was too salty. I had the Haselhoff, Chuck Norris, and Cowboy from Hell and all of the were notably too salty. Even the potato salad I paid extra for was way too salty. This isn't just that I don't like salt. Usually. I like these guys and they are one of the food trucks I try to go too. But this time, too much salt. My wife thinks they have gotten too expensive ($17 for 3 sliders w potato salad) and they are that. But that much for sliders that are almost beyond edible is very disappointing. I read another review that suggested that their meal was badly spiced w no salt. But mine was the opposite. I hope they didn't go overboard to assuage their critics. It would seem at these prices that they could taste their food for the right amount of salt. Disappointed. read more

Great source for creative and delicious sliders. They have a choice of beef or chicken breast. The beef has some nice ooze. You can get a 2 or 3 pack and they have a kids menu too for smaller appetites. My favorites are Chuck Norris, Buffy, Guac-Keen Phoenix and Phat Belly. The truck came to our neighborhood tonight and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! They let us order a tray of 3 sliders, each a different flavor. We tried the Phat Belly with boudin, the Buffy and the Chuck Norris. The Phat Belly was our favorite! We had Best Stop boudin in Louisiana and seeing on a menu here was a wonderful surprise. It had a slight kick to it and the bacon/cheese/onion combination delighted my tastebuds! It could have used a touch more salt on the patty--but that's just a personal preference. After we devoured the sliders I was a little sad that we hadn't ordered more. We had eaten a little earlier, but couldn't pass up a opportunity to try SP since we've been drooling over their pics for at least a year now. My first experience was when they were outside of Rackspace serving the team and I was super happy with the results. All 3 of my sliders were delicious, but I sadly don't remember what they are. The guys inside the truck were extremely nice as well and provided great customer service. If I could change anything, it would honestly be to somehow label the sliders so I could think about which one I was eating while I was eating it. The best sliders that I ever had!!! I tried Slider Provider yesterday and it was DELICIOUS!! The Chuck Norris (caramelized onions, sriracha ketchup, cheddar cheese) and the Lil Kahuna (jalapeno mayo, pineapple, munster cheese) sliders were packed with flavor and well worth the price (2 sliders and chips for $9). My friends also tried the Guac-Keen Phoenix and said it was excellent. If you see this food truck around, you definitely need to check them out. These guys were friendly, fast and efficient. We were lucky enough to check this place out last weekend, and I can't wait to go back! I've had my eye on this place for awhile on Yelp, and was so excited to finally check it out. We stopped by this food truck while we were at The Point last Saturday to celebrate their 5 year anniversary (The Point 's anniversary). So many options that it was hard to choose! I ended up ordering the "The Buffy" (blue cheese crumbles, bacon, spicy garlic wing sauce, and scallions). The bf got the "Chuck Norris" (American cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and Sriracha ketchup). These little burgers were marvelous! The ingredients complimented each other perfectly without being overwhelming. They were a decent size and incredibly satisfying! We got two sliders with a bag of chips for $9, a spectacular deal considering the quality of these delectable treats. I happened upon this truck one night at where else, but StrEAT Food at Revolution room and I was sold. Usually sliders are a meh food for me. They're so often over cooked (grey beef is a SAD thing, San Antonio!) bland, or just so boring that I typically don't gravitate towards them. These, however, are NOT grey and are absolutely packed with flavor. Crushed Doritos? Sriracha ketchup? Jalapeno pineapple mayo? Bleu cheese? They've got it ALL! They even have flamin hot Cheetos as a side, which is pretty much the best way to get me on your side forever! Sean is also very receptive to customer's suggestions. When he rolled out his Goober Burger it originally was peanut butter (and I think cheddar and bacon.) While delicious, if you say "Goober," I expect peanut butter and Concord grape jelly. I had the Guac-keen Phoenix -- because what can possibly go wrong when you choose something that includes guacamole, right? -- and it was awesome! Love the sliders!! I've had them before but it was at a food truck station downtown. The other day we were driving down fredericksburg rd, and they were parked in the parking lot of Daytime Donuts. I had the hasselhouf, the chuck norris, and the guac keen phoenix, with a side of pasta salad. I'm not a big fan of the pasta salad, it could use a bit more flavor and less black pepper, but it is ok. The sliders are so delicious. I was content with the three, but if you are really hungry you may want to get two order of three since they are palm sized. I love that they come on Hawaiian King rolls! One of San Antonio's newest food trucks is off to an amazing start! As most of you know I am a big fan of the SA food trucks. Slider Provider somehow managed to sneak into town and be operational for a week before I found out about them. They showed up at StrEAT Food one Wed at Revolution Room and since then I have been hooked. Obviously, given the name, they do sliders and they do them right! I've had everything they offer excluding the lent special catfish slider. Every one of them has been delicious. Their specialty sliders are some crazy concoctions with toppings ranging from crushed dorritos to pico and cream cheese. For the nonburger lover you can also have chicken, or on the occasional specials list the grilled cheese topped with smoked pork or brisket. They run mostly late nights but are working on lunch spots. Currently they have lunch every other Fri at Accenture (Babcock and Prue). If you're "busy" then take care of the people whose money you've already confiscated before you take more orders. The "good news" is they also didn't have what we ordered by the time they serve it. My favorite burgers in town, period, much less from a truck (Sorry, Former-Favorite...I'll still find you guys for your fries, though, and still love you bunches! xo!!) and certainly one of my local food truck faves. They reeled me in with the Goober (peanut butter, grape jelly, bacon, and sharp cheddar on a burger?? Who *does* that?! Slider Provider does. And they do it so, sooo well!!), and innovations like the Fancy Pants (prosciutto, granny smith apple, muenster cheese, and citrus aioli - i chose that one on chicken, instead of Angus beef...freakin' amazing!) keep me coming back. The Big Red Pulled Pork is also wonderful, and I look forward to trying the Bean-Go (refried black beans, habanero queso, and Cool Ranch Doritos...not exactly the Chris Madrid's or Sam's Burger Joint fare - LOVE all of the unique options here!) and the Goober with chicken instead of beef. I've tried them a few times now and each time they've been pretty great. I had no expectations the first time I tried them and they were able to wow me . I recalled trying two different sliders one of them was with peanut butter and jelly on it I believe and that one blew my socks off. Another time I tried three separate sliders and again all were respectable and held strong to the flavors that were intended... including one that was a big red slow roasted pork slider. The guys seem to be having fun with each other while cooking and it affected interactions they were having with customers including me. They were very playful and open to joking around with each and every one. I love that they have such a varied menu and on top of that, they regularly have specials so there is always something new to try. Service speed is so so as expected with food trucks and prices seem to be in line with most other similar trucks.
