We are always looking for places to try breakfast tacos, and while this place was entirely empty save for one regular the morning of battle of the flowers, I was perfectly pleased with our meal! Our four tacos came out in a flash and were super tasty along with the accompanying salsas. Our server was friendly and gave us just enough attention as needed without being too much or too little. Been awhile since we've been here. Just came by, since we couldn't decide where to eat. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating. Lots of room inside. Service is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. I had the beef fajitas, not too bad, needed more seasoning. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Maria had the cheese enchiladas. Figured to try and squeeze in one last new restaurant before the start of 2025. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The breakfast tacos were a mixed bag. The tortillas were fresh and provided a solid base but didn't have the taste I prefer. Ordered classic bean and cheese with bacon and a barbacoa. The barbacoa was decent, especially for a weekday. Not too fatty and not that much oil but the bean and cheese just didn't hit right. Salsa was tasty and had good heat though! I was hoping to get breakfast the employees were in the back talking. They saw me come in. Eventually, they walked up to me but had a really bad attitude, so I walked out without buying anything. Avoid this place, find something else. I did and recommend you do as well. Went here because of recommendations. The positives: tortillas were good and large which makes for big breakfast tacos. Beans had a good flavor and the limonada was fresh and cold and sweet. The negatives: they use queso instead of shredded cheese. If you don't mind, it's not a big deal but I prefer shredded cheese. The carne guisada tacos was a small serving and meat was tender but had no flavor and was fatty. There was no gravy. The salsa served with chips is delicious but the chips are flavorless and obviously store-bought. Overall I probably wouldn't come back unless I tried different items. read more

Sadly I am not 100% sold on this business. There are so many great Mexican food places around that I find it hard to pick this one above others as I felt it was just average. Their lunch specials stood out to me as they were a fair price for a decent amount of food. Unfortunately the food itself seemed like it was a heat and heat style of cooking rather than fresh chicken breast or thighs. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and feel like I have a good handle on fresh versus Frozen and this to me seemed like frozen food. This restaurant was suggested to us by my son in law. We came here for breakfast on a Saturday. It is your standard hole in the wall establishment found in a strip mall.There were quite a few people here but service was quick. I had the chilaquiles rancheras. These were the best chilaquiles I have had in San Antonio. I can't wait to eat them again. It was served with potatoes and beans which were also very good. There was a green salsa that was on the table. I tried it and loved it because it was spicy. I tasted the huevos rancheros and barbacoa and had no complaints. My son in law said he liked the menudo. This was the saddest food experience I've had in so long! The reviews were very misleading saying the food was good! I ordered the nachos with chicken. There was hardly any chips the cheese was burnt and I feel they used Velveeta cheese which even if they didn't it was very much like it! The chicken was bland, the chips were soggy and I would say don't waste your money! Now the Pizzoli was okay but it leaked all through the bag, the crispy tacos not good either. After a short wait we grabbed a booth. You wouldnt think much of it from walking in but I was very impressed after my meal. Homemade tortillas and chips, salsa was good (not the best but definitely good). My friend ordered the small Menudo (it was not really all that small) and a ham, egg, cheese. The taco was huge! My order consisted of the Machacado plate and a pancake. Yes I like a little sweet with my salty and BOY! Everything was perfect- including the pancake and syrup. I had enough left over to make 2 tacos to go. Cant wait to stop by here and try the rest of their menu.
