I definitely loved Marmalade more than Picnic for brunch in Barcelona. I loved the ambience, and the dramatic decor. Good service. The brie-burger. A fat chunk of melted brie on your burger. Fantabulous. With bacon, caramelized onions. Excellent bloody mary. You cant go wrong with this joint for brunch.

Marmalade offered my best culinary experience during my Barcelona visit. I made a last minute reservation and everything was set up perfectly. Their menu is amazing and I wanted to try it all. Their warm gin soaked olives were out of this world and all of the other dishes blew me and my friends' minds. The waiters were professional but also passionate about their work. That was represented clearly in the food but also in their cocktail craftsmanship. We celebrated my brother's birthday there and they provided us with a beautifully decorated desert and the whole restaurant (other patrons included) sang for my brother.

What is Marmalade? A very stylishly decorated lounge/bar in the up and coming quarter of El Raval. we were there early on a saturday night, so it wasn't too crowded... that didn't make the service any faster, but - hey, this is Spain. Sitting at the bar, I noshed on the Cajun fries which were basically fries with a dipping sauce that tasted like ketchup mixed with a couple of spices... not quite what I envisioned when I ordered the fries, but, well, whatever. They do have a full bar, and rumor has it, they make a good bloody mary. My friend who's been here before swears by their brunch - so I'll have come back for a meal one of these days. I loved the juxtaposition of the old original floor tiles with the ultra modern decor - celebrating the old while making it updated and fresh and new. there's a pool table, and a variety of seating areas... You can get free wifi, and the drink prices were reasonable.

This place has a great decor on the inside but also outside seating which is really nice. The staff was great and friendly. The food menu was extensive and had things to offer anyone. The smoothies looked amazing although I didn't get one, I got the bleedin Bellini which was good, the agave tasted just like cava so I mean you could just get that if you want it's a little cheaper. I got the chorizo hash which was delicious a little blan added salt and pepper. BE AWARE OF BEGGARS! One passed our table and stole my friends phone. That's the only downfall with this place, location, lots of beggars.

great, just great. Perfect poached eggs. Perfect pancakes. Great Huevos Rancheros. Perfect relief from traditional Spanish after a week here.

Excellen Bloody Mary, very good eggs Benedict's and cordial service. It is run by young people, kind of hipster, and very relax ambiance. I'm coming to try the chicken wings, they say are the best in Barcelona. Kind of tricky to get here but it is worth it.

The food was fantastic and I really loved the cozy and quaint atmosphere in this place. Even though we don't speak Spanish it was easy to talk with out wait staff. I was impressed how efficiently they served our large group of ~30!

Like most of the restaurants in this city it has charm. Dim lighting, brick walls and columns and red upholstered chairs with wooden tables gave this place an intimate setting that was perfect for a few drinks and a tapa while having a conversation. We ordered a dirty martini extra, extra dirty along with a mojito and cod croquettes. Both drinks were on point, my mojito was classic mint just the way I like it, Havana club rum, sugary and refreshing. The martini was well above average with 3 extra olives. The star of the show was the cod croquettes, made with a delicious creamy cod filling, with a red pepper aioli sauce that put an explosion of flavor in our mouths! If it wasn't for us tapa hopping and trying to eat our way through Barcelona we would have ordered more but it was extremely delicious.

We got great seats at the bar. Our bartender (David, I think) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled. The menu is a light-up book that has fun illustrations and useful descriptions in it, including flavors, alcohol level, and a drawing of the cocktail itself. I really like when menus show this much info. Our first round was the Subterranium and Atlantide. They were both delicious and interesting flavors. They also came with tiny bites and in interesting glassware. Our second round, the Ramses and Great Gatsby, were similarly interesting, but we liked them a bit less. David gave us some gratis truffle amaro (also delicious) on the way out. I highly recommend a stop, especially if you can sit at the bar.

I came around 5pm on a Saturday, and it only took 20 minutes to get in. The bartenders were super friendly and spoke english which was a bonus. Their menu is constantly changing, so I forget the names of the drinks we ordered, but I also ordered a regular old fashion and they nailed it. I noticed another guest being a little rude to one of the bartenders. She was complaining about her drink so they made a new one, and another one after that. Had it been me, I probably would've gave up and asked them to leave lol, but they did not. Instead the opposite, which is very telling of the type of service you'll receive at this place. Overall this was my favorite cocktail bar in Spain, would I go again? Absolutely!
