There still was a line to get upstairs. Staff accommodated us with a table that had a view. A lot of young people purchased soda or 6£ drafts, No one ordered dinner, everyone was given spicy bar snacks. All were chain smoking & there were clouds of smoke on all sides of us. By at 8:00 the rooftop emptied. We shared a 30€ sangria & expensive ham & cheese sandwich with 4 fries. Our order was lost and then took a half an hour to get our sandwich. The sangria was tasty we had a glass and a half each but there wasn't much alcohol in it. This was the most expensive bill we had in Barcelona & it wasn't a meal. We realize we are paying for the view & sunset.

A little cozy downstairs, but that's where the fun is actually at; upstairs is a dank, dark little club room with meh techie dance music, poor ventilation, no windows, and what my friend called "European funk." This place reminded me of the Marz bar where I was a regular in NYC a lot in the 90's. The interior decor is mainly kisch and you feel like being on set on a John Waters film. They don't serve cocktails but pussytails. I know, a tourist trap but still all fun. Wifey and I wondered if this was a transvestite bar since it's decorated with pretty gay and pin up collages. You get free snacks when ordering, but we all know that salt make the average customer buy an extra unit. The staff is friendly and prices better than my hotel across the road, Barceló Raval. The place seems to have quite a few friendly regulars and we seemed to fit in immediately. But watch your valuables, a pick pocket dropped in and made a move on Wifey but was chased out by the nice bartender David. I highly enjoyed myself there and will return tonight and try to remember a bit more than last night. Most highly recommended.

Like most of the restaurants in this city it has charm. Dim lighting, brick walls and columns and red upholstered chairs with wooden tables gave this place an intimate setting that was perfect for a few drinks and a tapa while having a conversation. We ordered a dirty martini extra, extra dirty along with a mojito and cod croquettes. Both drinks were on point, my mojito was classic mint just the way I like it, Havana club rum, sugary and refreshing. The martini was well above average with 3 extra olives. The star of the show was the cod croquettes, made with a delicious creamy cod filling, with a red pepper aioli sauce that put an explosion of flavor in our mouths! If it wasn't for us tapa hopping and trying to eat our way through Barcelona we would have ordered more but it was extremely delicious.
