Old school place in a nice little eastern Penna college town. It's "Kootzville," not "Cutsville," BTW. But I may still just keep calling it Cutsville because I am from Connecticut and not local. I got the chicken steak grinder--- it was good!!-- and also a side of their Dutch fries which were also good. Good is the key adjective here- nothing I got in terms of food was great and nothing was bad. The staff was remarkably friendly and the price for the food was very respectable. The best thing about the place is the ambiance- old school feel with a sprinkling of college-town vibe. Get over here next time you get the chance! Sit at the counter. You might bump into me.

Usually pretty satisfied with Marky, Although a lil pricey for portions. This "Large" super Italian hoagie was quite a tiny one. Any smaller and it would've been the size of a hotdog bun haha. $8.50 of disappointment, you can do better honey

Funnel cake fries with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar!

It's worth stopping by just for a milkshake. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but my food was really good. I had a turkey club with mac and cheese bites. The sandwich had a lot of meat and good flavor. The mac and cheese bites were worth the calories. I also (don't judge) had a chocolate milkshake that was delicious! I'll be back for a milkshake and to try more off their menu.

Order from regularly. Good food and not heavy on the wallet. During busy times, might want to consider pick-up.

The portions were large and reasonably priced, and tasted very fresh and flavorful. The menu provides multiple options and a nice variety of which will certainly make you want to come back to try something new and different. My one daughter loved the pizza which was made with care and consideration for her allergies. It was larger than she expected and she was able to take half home for another satisfying meal. My other daughter stated she semi-enjoyed the shepherds pie, which had large chunks of beef in it. She liked the texture but felt that the gravy was a bit too much/something was off. She did state she preferred the shepherds pie she got from Hershey Harvest better, but this was still good. I loved my crab cake, broccoli, and onion rings. I thought the food was excellently prepared and flavorful. My only complaint was I got too full and couldn't eat it all. I would certainly order it again. The atmosphere is casual and has an average noise level. I appreciate the spacious dining area which gives ample room for guests to not feel rushed or claustrophobic. It was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also clean, well maintained, and well stocked. My plan is to certainly return in the future and try some other items on the menu. (There were quite a number of items which caught our eyes and made it difficult to choose.)

The ice cream was delicious and promptly made. There is so much to choose from but that just gives us a reason to come back again. I selected a chocolate marshmallow malt milkshake with whipped cream. It was delicious and extremely well blended. I've had the same order at other places where the marshmallow is still chunky. This was smooth and had ample whipped cream on top. My one daughter loved the salted caramel flavor hand-dipped dish. She said it was excellent the way it was, and didn't need any extra toppings. My other daughter had strawberry hand-dipped ice cream with chocolate sprinkles. (Almost like a chocolate covered strawberry.) She enjoyed it and was overjoyed at the amount of sprinkles added to it. We loved the slower pace of being able to sit at the window and watch cars pass as we enjoyed our cool treats in the pleasant atmosphere of the themed and air conditioned dining area. I ordered over the phone, using a student special, which said $13 for a large pizza. I chose this over the Wednesday special, which was a large cheese pizza for the same price. I figured because one specified cheese, I could get pepperoni on the other one. When I arrived, I got a Coke as well, but the price was coming out to $20. I was then informed by who I assume was a manager or owner that it was $3.50 for pepperoni. It wasn't even specified on the phone, on the website, I only noticed right as I was about to swipe. I wouldn't have even been that upset about the hidden price if the pepperoni wasn't $3.50. Really?

Entering Mamma's, the place has the exact same layout; wasn't sure what I was expecting but I walked straight back to the counter where some kids were working. Since I had to take everything in, I took a menu and a seat, trying to narrow down what I wanted. Stuff I lived off, cheeseburger sub and chicken sub were still listed, as well as the chicken tender platter. I knew I had to order pierogies since it's been years so that was the first thing I did, and the platter won this round. When he asked what sauce I wanted for the bread, I actually had to think since it obviously wasn't the default tomato sauce anymore (I chose bbq which I also used with the chicken). All of this for under $20 which is a steal compared to where I am now. Took a while as expected, but by the time I got back to the car, I was one pierogi down. Food was just as good as I recall. Only thing is the bbq sauce was on the watery side which was odd, but that was it. Why four instead of five stars? I noticed on the receipt way after the fact they have a 'CC Surcharge Credit Fee'. This was a whopping .54 cents, however I PAID IN CASH. I think the teen guys were too much in a rush to talk to their boys hanging out than paying better attention ringing me up, but besides them, I can't believe a little town like Kutztown implemented a ridiculous surcharge, especially with all the students. I expect such a thing in 'big liberal cities' like where I now reside, but here?? It's also not listed on the menu, and I also didn't notice any signage hanging up around the counter area, so just be aware of this unnecessary fee. I guess they are with the times after all. This won't prevent me from returning, but I'll definitely mention it next time when being rung up. Otherwise, the food took me back to when the only thing I to worry about was what final to study for/current crush/etc.
