He has an incredibly calm and dog-loving nature which immediately won the trust of our dogs, so he has been an incredible fit for our needs. Our dogs do weekly walks with him and his sweet pup River. He is reliable and an excellent communicator with scheduling and details. He has been excellent with dog sitting as well, staying overnight in our home. He sends pictures and texts throughout his stay, so we stay constantly updated on how things are going. I'm just not sure where to start the review. My big orangie Buster Posey has had the privilege of Mark's care for several years now. I knew it was meant to be when Mark came by to see the place and meet BP before his first weekend caring for our boy. He was on time, professional and courteous. He saw BP down the hall and immediately walked over, sat down on the floor and let Buster come to him. Much more interested in him than me; as it should be! He is meticulous with all things pet AND home, he's just our extended family now! When Buster was diagnosed diabetic I was dreading the call to Mark; twice daily injections. We have used Mark for several years for regular walks, training, and overnights. Our dogs loved Mark from the day they met. He speaks their language! As a boxer owner, I found it tough to find someone that understands their complex personalities and can work with them whether they are easy and excitable, or crazy and stubborn. Mark has been able to jive with any personality or mood our dogs throw his way! He is patient and kind and knows how to find the right approach for each dog. Mark is flexible with scheduling and seems to always make himself available despite his number of clients. Our first interaction with Mark was years ago...he rearranged his overnight schedule to take care of our ill boxer with only one weeks notice. He stayed by her side when we were out of town and diligently managed her medication and home environment. He has since made himself available for several overnights with all of our dogs over the years. We trust him in our home and around our family. Most recently he has taken on our biggest challenge! Our latest boy is by far the smartest, most caring, lovable dog we have taken in! Sound great, right? But he is VERY stubborn and challenging on walks and when interacting with other dogs. Mark has been a solid outlet for Bentley for the past several years. He has helped him adjust to our home and the world of walking in public. I met Mark several years ago when he cared for my best friend's dogs, I saw how conscientious he was and how much he truly cared for both of them. This last year my job changed to require quite a bit of travel and I knew I needed to find someone who I could trust to watch over my four-legged child. Mark has been our cat sitter since we moved to the area three years ago. He came to our home for a "mutual interview" to see if we would all be a good fit. Our Roscoe and he bonded immediately and I think they both look forward to our travels so they can spend time together. Mark has been taking care of our pups for two years and he's great with them. Our girl had a rough life before we adopted her and she has trust issues, but Mark was able to bond with her right away. He takes care of our pets (and our house) while we are away visiting family and on numerous occasions has come to our rescue to feed them dinner when we have been away from our house longer than planned during the day. I really can't say enough good things about Mark's dog walking service, reliability, and excellent animal care. He has been walking my Chihuahua (pictured here mugging it up for the camera and wagging her tail!) for several years, day-in and day-out, without fail. I never have to worry about my pup because Mark is so reliable and keeps an eye out for her. He takes a genuine interest in every dog/cat he cares for. He has my house keys, and my pup and I consider him a trusted friend. It's really rare to find someone who you can rely on like that these days. My pup has a "Napoleon complex", and so she tends to be skittish, sometimes aggressive towards big dogs. Mark is very careful and cautious with her, ensuring she gets the socialization she needs with other friendly neighborhood dogs, but not exposing her to uncomfortable situations. I have an EXTREMELY active dog and live in a townhouse. I had another dog walker who had to leave town for an emergency and had to scramble for a substitute. I came across Mark on the internet. He came to our house and did a very thorough interview. Our little terrior/minpin mix can be aggressive towards men sometimes but this didn't phase him a bit. He was relaxed and gave her time to calm down and after a few treats, she really warmed up to him. I was very concerned about hiring someone who would follow through with the obedience training I had worked so hard on. Mark not only did this, but he gave me reports on how she was responding as well as the occasional email with pics. A few weeks in, my husband even commented that our dog seemed more well behaved since Mark had been walking her. On top of it all, his rates are fantastic!
