We were initially anxious about using Vet Tech Pet Care for the first time because we had never left our 2 cats alone overnight in the 12 years we have owned them. But my husband and I both needed to travel at the last minute and Vet Tech Pet Care came very highly recommended by a friend's friend who has been using them for years. We weren't quite sure how it would work at first and who would be assigned to stop in 2x/day. But Tomiko was great about matching cat lovers on her staff with the days we needed coverage. Alexa was our cats' "main" sitter but Kaitlin also stopped by a couple of times when Alexa wasn't available. We had the opportunity meet both Alexa and Kaitlin in person before we departed, and Tomiko also came by to make sure everything would run smoothly in our absence. I am pretty organized and had typed up instructions already for Alexa and Kaitlin, but Tomiko had a very detailed checklist that she also went through with me to make sure nothing was overlooked. I really appreciated that. We got texts with pictures and updates on our cats at every visit, which we also really appreciated. Our cats are very shy and skittish with strangers, so we got to hear how they were warming up to Alexa and Kaitlin at each visit. That was such a comfort to us! We would use Vet Tech Pet Care again in the future without hesitation and highly recommend them to others! Just used Vet Tech Pet Care for the first time to administer fluids to our cat while we were on vacation. I can't recommend this service enough! What a professional company. Tomiko, the owner, was super responsive with our request for care on really short notice. She was able to accommodate our request with techs Alexa and Donna, who communicated with us and sent us photos letting us know our cats were doing well. They even left us a "sweet treat" to welcome us home from our trip. This company is great for anyone who has a sick cat. I hired them to help me administer sub q fluids every night until I was comfortable enough to do it on my own. Alexa taught me how to do it and she has an amazing touch with animals, and Donna loves cats too and was a great support when I was finally brave enough to do it all by myself. He needs injections and since they are vet technicians, they can do it with absolutely no problem. My house was immaculate. I was so pleased with her professionalism after she showed up before our trip to meet the animals and go over the list of things to do. They even offer to get the mail & bring in trash cans.
