Good bbq joint that is local for Here in Kentuckiana. I've had this place numerous times over the years and have been to each location. This location we stopped in on our way to my wife's work in etown. I got the pulled pork and the honey wings. Both are great. They have sides of green beans and pasta salad. The pasta salad is fantastic and it is the only pasta salad that I will eat. I like the red sauce on the pork and the honey wings are fantastic and tasty. This is a great location with great service. Nicely crisp, good sized wings with a divine honey sauce. It was reminiscent of apricot but the manager (?) said, nope.... just honey. Highly recommend the wings and apparently Wednesday is 50 cent wing night...score! Then we shared a bbq combo with pulled chicken, pulled pork and ribs... With a side of beans and loaded sweet potato... And a variety of sauces. The beans are a meal in their own right. Plenty of pork in it, and fabulous seasonings. The ribs were tender, nicely seasoned and very flavorful. The chicken and pork portions were generous and hearty.... And the various sauces we dipped them in were all lovely. The sweet potato was loaded with butter, marshmallow and a drizzle of caramel. Mad delicious. Oh and almost forgot the Texas toast too. I have no idea how one person could finish that combo... The loaded sweet potato adds marshmallows and caramel, but I stayed with plain. Food was served quickly and hot. Two types of barbecue sauce are on the tables. I went with the standard sauce ~ a tasty mustard blend. My sweet potato was plain perfection ~ baked until the skin had a bit of caramelization, and the inside was perfectly soft. Good food. I ordered the ribs thinking I was getting smoked ribs. Instead I got oven baked ribs. The meat was tough, short on flavor, and covered with an okay sauce. The corn bread seemed like it was microwaved. The baked beans were good only because they had a lot of brown sugar. The beer selection was very poor. From the minute we sat down until we left, we had the best experience. To Lauren, our waitress, she was attentive, kept the drinks refilled, made sure things were good but not in an over-bearing manor. Chaz, I believe that was his name, who was the manager/district manager. He was friendly and seemed eager to make sure our experience was the best. What stood out most about Chaz was how he interacted with the staff. We overheard him giving encouraging compliments, telling the staff how great of a job they did that night. First baked beans were amazing so much flavor and pieces of pork in there really really good. In fact, I wish I had more. The fries were fries and no big deal. Came here with 15 folks after baseball about 8pm on Thursday night. It was packed with other teams. The manager was running a tight ship and handled it great. She was running drinks out and helping out. We waited a bit but they sequenced the tables well and the food came out fast. The fried pickles were dreamy. And the spicy ranch....perfection. Had a pulled pork basket. Very good with good red and mustard sauces. My boy had the worlds largest pork sandwich! 1lb !!!! Hubs had ribs and the corn was good too! I really like Mark's, but not really for their BBQ. I mean, it's okay BBQ, but they have other things in the menu that stand on their own. I usually get the Veggie Plate where you can get 3 sides. I love the Cornbread Salad and the homemade chips. Their Mac and cheese is the only Mac and cheese in town my picky kids like. Their service is super great. We've always had kind wait staff and they often have seasonal events for kids and families. I think kids eat free in Mondays.
