Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with beans and fries. Sandwich wasn't bad. Beans tasted like Heinz baked beans. Fries were cut shout but ok. O now it's karaoke. Wow. The baked potato was fresh , but the bbq was old and there was very little of it. I left hungry. I told my server , but nothing was done. The bbq baked potato had about 1/4 cup bbq on it. The drinks were cold and the restaurant was clean. Service was friendly. Pleasant music playing. Bright and fun family atmosphere. Too bad they don't try to serve great food. read more

The service was great. The atmosphere was pretty cool if you're a Buffalo Bills fan.. I'm not sure what kinda restaurant it is either. Could be a sports bar or a pool hall there is definitely karaoke. Wow. Let's get to the food we checked in at 2:30 p.m. on a Friday and they are completely out of ribs no mashed potatoes. So my wife orders, a pulled pork sandwich with barely had any pork on it my son ordered Buffalo wings which the buffalo sauce taste completely like vinegar, and nothing else no heat to it at all the hot barbecue sauce, taste like ketchup with pepper in it way too much ketchup, and I had pork nachos which were drowned and liquid nacho cheese it was hard to find a pulled pork init. First time to visit, I was told by people that it was a great place to eat, however, my experience differs a bit, the atmosphere was good, the service was ok, ordered the pulled pork sandwich, it was really dry, you would think they would have sauce at the table, also the meal was served on paper plates and plastic silverware, nothing about throwaway material. Went here for lunch and ordered the brisket sandwich with green beans and coleslaw. Despite the food coming out quickly, the brisket was cold only warmed by the bbq sauce plopped on top. The green beans were flavorless, but came out hot. The coleslaw didn't have much flavor and was watered down. Giving 2 stars based on our server. All we could taste was a STRONG chemical liquid smoke flavor. Small portions for the price, horrible chemical flavor, barely any barbecue sauce that was poured directly onto the cooked meat instead of marinated and cooked into the meat. Flavorless but HORRIBLE. The service was good with friendly people, but they need to rethink how they ruin a good barbecue. Highly overrated, highly disappointed. WTF is wrong with the seasoned potatoes? Second time was just as bad as the first. Pork loin was dry, unflavored. Seemed like it was reheated to many times or was rushed and sliced into portions without allowing it to rest. Owner asked how it was. He doesn't respond well to honest criticism. we came on a Sunday evening and felt uncomfortable as we walked in. There were 6-8 people huddled together in front of the large tv. One gentleman did say hi as we entered. There was a buffet so we ate off of it. The waitress brought us our plates and we had to squeeze in front of the huddled Bills fans to get to the buffet which was located right under the big tv they were watching. The food was cold and tasteless. The same gentleman did briefly talk to my husband and it turns out the owner was there, but never spoke. The best thing that place has going for it is the gentleman who acknowledged us. We were excitit's to try this place, but we won't be back even if the price was lower. read more

We ordered take for my crew and man was I disappointed with the ribs. Whoever did the can't cook ribs, they were so tough I wouldn't give them to a stray dog. Pappaw's BBQ & More is a wonderful find in Elizabethtown, KY! This is a family friendly restaurant with indoor &outdoor seating. We each had the 3 meat platter with 2 sides. We chose different sides so we could sample a variety. We both had ribs, pulled chicken, I had pulled pork and hubby had the brisket. We ordered Mac & cheese, Cole slaw, green beans, seasoned potatoes. We also got a side of baked beans. There were four other choices for sides also. The BBQ sauces came in squeeze bottles that we could add on. One was sweet, the other was mildly spicy with a hint of Tabasco. The seasoned potatoes are cubed, from baked potatoes, seasoned and grilled. The Mac & cheese is made with plenty of Velveeta cheese and is finished in their smoker, giving it a hint of smoke flavor! The slaw was slightly sweet, lightly mayonnaised and crisp. The baked beans were sweet and smoky. The green beans are cooked with pulled pork. I appreciated the fact they do not overly salt their food; you can add salt but you can't take it away! The meats are smoked with a blend of hickory, cherry and oak. My favorite was the ribs! The brisket was great also. The food was delicious! The owners visit the tables and interact with the customers, adding a personal touch with their growing base. We will definitely be back for the food AND the friendly, home like atmosphere! They also serve a variety of alcohol beverages. read more

This my first time here and was a pleasant lunch for me and my buddy. We each had a rib plate different side and they were the best. The waitress took care of us and were tended to always. I rarely give reviews, but this was such a poor excuse for a BBQ restaurant I feel I need to warn everyone. I had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and potato salad. The potato salad is literally straight from Sam's Club with no additional seasoning ( I know because I have some in my fridge right now, it's actually pretty good, but come on), the baked beans tasted like Pork and Beans, with maybe a little brown sugar added. The pork on the sandwich was pretty flavorless, though I will say the spicy BBQ sauce wasn't bad, but the bottom bun felt like it had been dunked in water, which is about the worst texture you could have. Just toast the bun, it's not hard and makes a huge difference. If they are relying on this place drawing in the drinking crowd because they have a couple of pool tables and darts, maybe that will keep them open for a little while, but they need to figure out their food. read more
