Marketside is a bargain. The service is slow and the portions are small, but if you are looking for someone to serve you breakfast on a budget, this is a great find. We paid $12 for two breakfasts and 2 coffees! Crazy cheap! Cash only. And don't expect sides to come with the omelettes...they're just an omelette on a plate. We were on our way to see the falls, driving up from Syracuse. We hit the YELP restaurants nearby and Marketside popped up. We pull into the lot and it's about the only thriving business in a three-sided strip mall with parking in the middle. You get the feel that somebody deals a lot of heroin out of here. However, the Marketside stood out as a going concern and we went on in. It was definitely a local spot (as the few reviews would suggest). A simple breakfast menu and everything that we ordered was good. The prices were great, the service from a staff that probably had stories to tell was very attentive. Even the oatmeal (Mr. Healthy) was good. Everyone around us was enjoying their food. Very much a family stop. A gem among bleak surroundings. read more

My wife and I dropped in Sunday morning - what a cool neighborhood place! We split the Sal Works - that filled us both up. Food was prompt and excellent - service was even better. This place is the cat's pajamas. I was probably the only customer under 65 and the place is almost a time warp, but the food is great and the service is friendly (although a bit slow- this is a place for lazy mornings.) It took 7mins to get menus, another 10mins for someone to come over to take our order. The Sal Magli was delicious though! They only take cash!!! I had to drive to the local Walgreens to get some cash back. Me and my fiancé stumbled upon it one year when we were heading to see the falls, and now we go back every time we are up there. The food tastes like homemade goodness. We recommend trying the Sal Maglie with everything!!! It's delightful! Basically Scrambled eggs with cheese, brkfst potatoes, peppers, onions, mushrooms, bacon, ham and sausage! It comes with a Side of toast. You can get it spicy or not spicy. We always add a slice of their delicious French toast and a side of their sausage patties! You will not be disappointed!! We also love that the coffee mugs and plates don't match. It makes it feel like you are visiting a family member. Service is excellent too!! read more

I went in as a party of six on a Monday at 8:30am and was seated immediately as my party walked up. The owner welcomed us as soon as we walked up, and asked where we were coming from. Four of us got omelettes, all perfect portions with local white Italian bread. My sister got the French toast that was done perfectly. The service was amazing and fast. We wanted to be out in an hour to make a tour, but we only ended up being 40 minutes. On our way out, the owner handed us each slices of watermelon. Overall, great experience. Wonderful family owned and operated mom & pop restaurant! The food is terrific, like going to grandma's house, and the staff are so so nice. Yesterday the owner, Mike, greeted us immediately and found us a table in the busy restaurant. He brought us coffee and juice. My youngest son has a food allergy and, although it wasn't on the menu, he accommodated him with such pleasure, it was so heart-warming. We came back today for breakfast again and the place was PACKED. Mike immediately, graciously, offered us the counter and we were happy to take it. Our breakfasts both days were soooo good. Small family restaurant about 5 minute drive from the falls. Food was like a good home cooked meal. We went there for breakfast instead of paying for expensive breakfast option from hotel. Menu is basically al a carte. Pancakes and bacon were delicious. My mother had an omelet with veggies which we were also really good. So we were headed back from Niagara Falls ON and found this place online. It is Sunday and it closes at noon so we called at 11:20 to make sure they would still seat us. It sounded like the owner who answered the phone and said sure come in we'll take care of you. We arrived and a lady at the register said sorry were not seating anyone else. She kinda gave us a bit of a hard time. The food was great so I would have rated it 5 stars but the initial interaction was a bit off. It was my wife and our kids. Found this place from Google to get a brunch and boy was it an amazing decision. It's a family business and seemed to be in the family for a long time. Food was amazing!! Portions were fairly large and the pancakes were just humongous. The family came out from the kitchen periodically and spoke with each guests to ensure everything was good.
