Worry Not Folks ! My impression of Marc R and Mark Time Corporation/Watches-Swiss.com is 100% positive. He appears to the kind of guy that will bend over backwards to satisfy his customers. Ask him for a particular model and he will likely try to move mountains to find one. Sometimes that requires tremendous, painstaking effort from him and excruciating patience for the customer, but you can be confident that Mark will fulfill his end of the bargain (if at all possible) and complete the transaction ASAP. His powers are limited. He doesn't build watches; he builds relationships. That means first with suppliers to ensure access to products, and then second with his customers to satisfy their wants and needs. Some of his prices are unbeatable, others are not; but I'll betcha in many cases, if not most, he will negotiate a mutually agreeable price when the customer is reasonable, willing, and able to be flexible, and has done their due diligence, before pulling the trigger on a purchase. One's outlook when critiquing a merchant or product (or any human exchange) is largely dependent on the quality of their character, their work ethic, and the depth of their understanding of commerce: regardless of the product or service rendered. Some folks are reasonable, others ain't. I believe that Mark is an honest, honorable, and conscientious businessman. The following is a message that I sent him after a recent purchase. Marc is completely unprofessional, regardless of what other reviews say about him. Here's an excerpt of his reply to me after delaying order processing for over 3 months: "We did not take your money. We do not charge your credit card until we receive the watch and we are about to ship it. So, do not embarrass yourself by contacting your bank and/or law enforcement. You have embarrassed yourself enough already! If you like, you could contact call them and tell them I hurt your feelings because you sent me 6 emails and I only replied to 5 of them." All of this because I told him I'm not waiting any longer, and to either fill the order or cancel it and refund as needed before I report his business to the proper authorities. He made no clarifications, provided zero substantive updates beyond "I'm still waiting," or blaming others, and made excuses for these delays instead of being honest about not being able to fill the order in a timely manner. I will add that I was willing to be patient (overtly so) and communicated in good faith the entire time. Yeah, fine, prices are better than other retailers online, but be prepared to wait, then wait some more, then be treated as a nuisance for making regular, VALID, requests for information after extreme delays. You're better off going to Zales than working with this absolute clown. Preemptive edit since he's going to make more false allegations like he did on Trustpilot: I accused this fraud of nothing. I contacted Marc about purchasing a Frederique Constant Manufacture Big Date watch. He was able to source a brand new watch with box and papers for 1200 less than my local stores and about 100 less than a lightly used watch. At all times Marc answered my questions in detail in a very timely manner. The process took about two weeks because the watch had to be ordered and then Labor Day hit so the delivery was slowed a bit. I initially reached out to Marc about a watch that was sold out. Even though his hunch was that it would be impossible to find, he went the extra mile a checked with multiple suppliers. Unfortunately we were unable to find the specific model, but his amazing customer service and exceptionally quick response time lead me to reach back out to him a couple of weeks later to purchase a different model. In both cases, I received the watch brand new in pristine condition with the official box and papers. I received a discount of about 27% off the MSRP for both watches. These were newly released popular watches and no Longines Authorized Dealer would sell them below the MSRP. The watches were also not available on any of the "gray market" watch sites like Joma shop. I had the most disturbing experience dealing with Mark Time Corp (aka Watches-Swiss.com). I was considering buying a watch from their online store and requested the price from the owner, Mark Rabinowitz, over the phone. The price was good, but I decided to look the place up online, and, to my surprise, found lots of negative reviews. I don't want to quote other people, but just Google reviews on watches-swiss.com or look them up on Better Business Bureau of NY website. I decided to buy the watch somewhere else. The next day I got a call from Mark checking on the status of my search. By the way, he sounds like the most pleasant guy in a normal conversation. So I politely explained that I had reconsidered buying a watch because I found negative reviews online. To my surprise, upon hearing this Mark called me a "stupid a$shole", because I, supposedly, believed some "f%cking competitors talking s#it" about them. To be honest, at first I couldn't believe what other people were writing about this place. I have now ordered three watches from watches-swiss.com and am going to use them for future orders. They offer prices significantly reduced from MSRP and, unlike other grey market dealers (e.g., jomashop), they provide the full manufacturer warranty. They do not maintain an inventory, instead procuring the watch when it is ordered by the customer. While this may cause a bit of a delay, they are transparent about the length of the delay, based on their experience in procuring a watch through a given manufacturer. And given the price advantage, the delay (which has always been just a matter of days for me) is certainly worth it. I also found the owner, Marc, extremely easy to deal with. He is lightning fast in answering emails, does a great job at keeping the buyer informed every step of the way, and makes a very strong effort to deliver the watches as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
