I wasn't happy with the very long wait when I had my first appointment at this office. I was within 5 minutes of leaving. I am SO GLAD I didn't!! I later learned they were moving offices that weekend so they were a bit out of sorts. I was afraid, being so behind, that my appointment would be rushed. Again I was wrong! My visit with Dr G was the most thorough, educating and calm visit I've ever had with any doctor. He took his time and listened to and discussed my history and went over a detailed plan for my care. On my second visit I saw Barbara and, again, one of the best visits I've ever had. The entire staff treat you like family. 30 years!! I've been a patient with Dr. Godat for 30 years!! Why, do you ask? What makes him different than any other OB/Gyn on the planet? (And how can it be 30 years when I'm only 29???) Other than being brilliant as an OB/Gyn, Dr. Godat is professional when he has to be, caring at all times, ALWAYS going out of his way to find help for me outside of his expertise, treating me like I'm the only patient in the office, treating me like one of the family, and caring for my sisters and sisters-in-law like they are his family. He listens well and answers any questions along with doing his very best to give clear answers. There is so much information online dealing with pregnancy/birth etc... and Dr. Godat does a wonderful job of guiding you through what is important and relevant. Dr. Godat is an awesome doctor, but if you EVER have to deal with his office manager, Terry, you are in for a very different experience. This office also bills for any small minute detail that you discuss in the room even if these items are not resolved or responded to. Pay attention to your billing because they will bill prior to delivery which they are not supposed to do. They have the "ability" to bill for these things, but most reputable offices will not run your claims through the roof when you are a loyal patient of theirs just because "they can". Again Dr. Godat is an AWESOME doctor and I hate to leave his office for his rude office manager, but I refuse to allow them to take advantage of my insurance just because I have great insurance. Billing- They billed me during normal scheduled prenatal visits to ask questions that were pregnancy related. Most ob/gyn offices bill at the end of your pregnancy, well so does this office. However, if you have questions of some sort RELATING to your current pregnancy they will bill your insurance for them as if they are diagnosing you with something! For example: I had breast tenderness and asked during my next appointment if it was normal and I was told yes I was fine. Next thing I know I was billed for a prenatal visit AND a "medical diagnosis" What a fraud! Stay clear I would not recommend this office because of their shady business practices. If you can get over the insurance scams they try to run on innocent first time mothers then Dr. Godat is a great doctor. read more

Dr. Mark is the best doctor EVER (except for my bro-in-law - just covering my bases)! He saved my life when I was diagnosed with cancer and it took a while to figure it out, but he just kept trying! I have seen Dr. Godat for the the past 18 years, and would recommend him to anyone who needs a great doctor who spends extra time to get things right. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis prior to finding him and the surgery he performed was a night a day difference from what I experience with my prior Dr. He is extremely patient and will find the answer to your problems, even when your not in his office. He sincerely cares about his patients, and he always makes you feel as though your problem is his. His office staff is ALWAYS helpful and caring, especially Terry and Barbara who have been with him as long as I've been seeing him. You might expect some delays in your appt. if he's called away for a delivery, but that's with any doctor who is good and sees OB patients. read more

Insurance Fraud! Be sure to review your insurance bills if you decide to use this Doctor. On my first appointment my pregnancy was confirmed with a blood and urine test. At six weeks pregnant I was told to come in for a sonogram. Being that this is my third child I thought that was a bit odd to have a sonogram so early. At my second appointment I was told I needed to pay a 75.00 co pay. I thought that was expensive so I contacted my insurance company. The insurance company told me that I should not have paid any co pay at all because my pregnancy was confirmed at the fist appointment. The insurance representative also told me that she actually had talked with Terry at Dr. Godat's office. She said she remembered the conversation because Terry was trying to find out everything my insurance would cover. She said she thought it was odd. Later when I talked to Terry about why I was charged a co pay she replied that although they had confirmed I was pregnant and that my second appointment was for a sonogram of the baby I was not considered a maternity patient. Basically this allows them to bill your insurance company to the max and charge you unauthorized co pays. Later Terry tried to tell me that the reason they wanted to do a sonogram on me so early is because my blood levels are low. Terry (the biller) told me this, I was never told this by a doctor or a nurse. I am pretty sure Terry creatively made this up. A few minutes after our call ended I got a call from Terry from what I believe was her cell phone (she blocked the number) and told me she thought it would be best for me to find another doctors office. She didn't have to tell me that. I didn't have plans to go back. I would be careful with my unborn child here if I were you. They will probably recommend a whole lot of unnecessary test so that they can run up the insurance bill. I can't say much about Dr. Godat himself. Although I had two appointments I never met him. read more

I honestly believe Dr. Godat hung the moon. I have been a patient of his for going on 12 years now but it wasn't until a few months ago I got to really experience the gift that he has. I had a very difficult pregnancy and an even more difficult delivery but doctor Godat was by my side every step of the way. He made it the most fun and yet magical experience. I could never put into words just how special he is. Dr. Godat was diagnosed with cancer when I was about 6 months pregnant, he did not let that stop him. He said "I will be there to deliver your baby". Well, he kept his word. When I went into labor on a Sunday Dr. Godat was not on call so I was told that Dr. Lopez would be delivering my baby which would have been ok but when they called to tell Dr. Godat that I was in labor he dropped what he was doing (at 12:30am on a Sunday) and came up to the hospital to deliver my baby. He has the biggest heart of any doctor I have ever met and I could never thank him for everything he did for me and my family. I went in for my annual check up today with Barbara his NP but next thing I knew Dr. Godat took my chart from her and came in to do my check up himself just because. He finished up the appointment by looking at pictures and videos of my son while having me try his favorite ice cream. He is truly a gift from god and I am so honored to have had him deliver my son. read more
