I was due for my annual so I booked with Magnolia as it showed they worked with my coverage. Booking was easy I just called and had an appointment in a short period of time. Parking is in a parking garage that is connected to the building, and you take the elevator up to your floor. Check in was easy as well - and I was called back within 10 minutes of my appointment time. Overall the physicians were nice, and I left with a future appointment. I would recommend this facility. If you're someone looking for a very personal, 1:1 experience with an OBGYN who will be directly involved with you throughout your care, I'd gently suggest that may not be what you'll find here, at least based on my experience. I called Magnolia OBGYN on 04/01 around 9:00 AM, concerned I was likely having a miscarriage due to severe symptoms. The front desk transferred me to Dr. Roth's medical assistant, who was kind and thorough in collecting my symptoms. She gave me guidance on what to watch for and said she would speak with Dr. Roth and follow up. A couple hours later, she called back to let me know that after speaking with Dr. Roth, the recommendation was to come in for bloodwork to check HCG levels and my blood type. I was also told Dr. Roth would not be available to see me for at least two weeks due to her schedule. I went in for the blood draw that same day, and that experience was quick and professional. On 04/02, I received a notification that my results were available, but I didn't hear anything from the office. I called back the next afternoon (04/03) and was told they would have the medical assistant review the results with me. As of now, nearly 48 hours later, I still have not received a follow-up. This is my first miscarriage, and I've had to turn to Google and friends for answers. I'm sharing this not to criticize anyone personally, but to offer insight for others. If you're looking for a more hands-on or responsive experience, especially during emotional or uncertain times, it may be worth asking in advance what kind of provider relationship you can expect here. read more

After much thought decided to share my opinion of what was once an exceptional professional office to what it is today. Terrible. It was once upon a time a place to go see your Dr. within a reasonable amount of time until appointment day. Now, you get a call weeks before your appt day only to get notified that that your appt needs to be moved to another 6 weeks into the future!! WTFreak??? I asked if there was a possibility of seeing another Dr. ANY TIME sooner, she said no. Then when I asked if she knew of another Dr. within the same building, she rattled off some name of someone across the street. Maybe she really was trying to help, but I did not get that impression at all! Used to be if you left a message they would kindly call you back. Now you have to keep calling to get a real human on the phone. Then when you get someone, they speak to you whilest sounding like they have no time. So I've decided to leave and go elsewhere for my patient care because I believe my patient care even WITHOUT seeing the Dr. was grossly mishandled. read more

The clinic staff and the physician (Dr. Wells) are incredibly kind and professional. I am anxious about pelvic exams and have skipped many annuals because of it. I finally took up the courage to find a gyn provider as it has been many years and found this clinic on ZocDoc. The appointment process was painless. The wait time felt like it was ages because I was nervous, but it was actually only ~5-7 minutes after I completed the paperwork. Dr. Wells was very understanding and patient with my anxiety about the pelvic exam. I felt heard and the visit was not rushed. Most importantly, the pelvic was nowhere nearly as painful as my previous experience. I attribute it to the smaller speculum used , her experience, and me taking ibuprofen prior to the visit! If you hate pelvics and have been delaying your annual check up because of it, go to Dr. Wells!!! They are inside Barnett tower which I didn't know, so parking is either valet or paid garage parking ($2 for first 20 min and $3 for 1 hr I think). I was referred to the clinic by my physician and called to book an appointment, I had to wait 6 weeks as a new patient which was fine. The day of my appointment, they canceled it and I did not receive any call back to schedule a new one... I called the front desk and she offered no explanation and scheduled me for the next month. My second appointment also got cancelled and got reschedule for 4 weeks . Took me 14 weeks to see Dr Jackson, she was very nice, patient and answered all my questions and concerns. Front desk staffs are condescending and rude. I was also billed for services i didn't receive. They ran some tests and I got billed for them at the clinic after my visit and I paid. Got a mail a week later from the labs for a bill of 1,300 for the same tests I had paid for at my appointment. Tried calling the front desk and no one was picking up. The doctors here are good, attentive and nice but the staffs are unbearable, the bills are outrageous and the medical receptionist?... read more

I came in January 2023 after a ER visit revealed I have fibroids. Wasn't given an ultrasound to confirm it until October 2023 (imagine the pain). It's now January 2024 (bleeding for 20+ days) and when I asked about the procedure timeline the nurse is unsure but my next appointment is just a check up, again! This is only "breakthrough bleeding" after being put on the second type of birth control in two months. read more

Dr. Newman is the GREATEST doctor I have ever known! I trust her with my life and 100% believe everything she is about. However, her office is TERRIBLE. The billing department is a scam. They have mislead me so many times on billing. They really do not have it all together and I feel so bad bc they have phenomenal doctors. They should really look into hiring better billing people. The front office staff is ok but they also really don't have it altogether. I had an ultrasound scheduled that I ended up having to wait 2 hours for because the front office didn't even check me in or relay I was there. Therefore, when I went to ask when I'd be seen they apologized for skipping me. I hate to leave a comment So bad bc really Dr Newman is amazing but just be very aware that you might get screwed when it comes to billing and you might get screwed by the front desk or having a nurse even call you back. read more

Let me start off by saying that the STAFF HERE IS GREAT. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and pleasant. Dr. Newman's nurse (I wish I remembered her name) really listened to me, heard all of my concerns, and understood everything. After speaking with her, I felt very confident that I was in good hands. Until I met the doctor. Dr. Newman dismissed every single one of my concerns without even taking the time to listen to me or try to understand what they were. I was a new patient and she didn't know anything about any of my symptoms (didn't have a chance to explain and she didn't ask), but she told me "everyone has period pain" and there was no way to diagnose endometriosis but I probably didn't have it. I said I had concerns about fertility because of some family history. I couldn't even say what the family history was because her answer to my concerns was "Try to get pregnant, and if you can't, then you have fertility issues." Umm... thanks? But I'd rather not wait until I want to get pregnant, try for a long time, and then find out there are issues. I was just trying to see if there were any identifiable issues that might make it difficult down the road. Dr. Newman was basically like "‍‍‍ who knows? Just wait until you want to get pregnant and see what happens." I'm not even an emotional person, but I seriously started crying the moment she left the room. I really hope she doesn't treat all patients like this. read more

Extremely disappointed. We have had two children in the past; now 16 & 15 both from Dr. Haddock. We loved her in the past. We were one of her first patients/parents she delt with back in her residency and right when she completed it. Both experiences were great. 15 years later my wife and I had a plot twist and got pregnant again. We are both older (38 years) and we were concerned about it. We made an appointment the office said they would see us during her 9th week. During her 7th-8th week we had some concerns due to complications we thought needed attention. When we called the office they seemed as if we were inconveniencing them by even talking to us. Then they told us they could only do some blood work. They never explained to us why or what they were looking for in the blood work. We went in and it was very cold and with uninterested staff that simply took blood and said we were done. We called back because we continued to have concerns and we got hardly any encouragement or detail on what could be the issues. We are extremely saddened that Dr. Haddock's office staff seem to care more about their business then they do the people. It didn't used to be that way. We understand that some of these discussions or procedures may be mundane for them but it is very serious and meaningful to us. The patient deserves more empathy and care. I had to call into the office to relay my concerns to the Medical Assitant and left a message. She returned the call and spoke to my wife. All she did was argue with her saying that she told us what they were looking for and explained to us what they could do. My wife said she never did explain anything prior to that and she just argued with her about it. We called another OBGYN that is closer and they got us in to see the actual doctor the next morning and talked to us like we were actual people. We will be going there from now on. People matter and this experience was very unprofessional and inappropriate. I'm sure Dr. Haddock is still amazing but unfortunately it seems they don't have time to see us. read more

Love this group, including each of the doctors, the sonographers, the phlebotomist, and sweet Lacey that answers the phone! They've seen me through a miscarriage and the pregnancy and birth of my second child. They were attentive, professional, and I truly felt like they cared for the well-being of myself and my baby. Having been at a different (well-known) practice in Dallas for the birth of my first child, I can definitely say I recommend Magnolia OBGYN! I also recommend Baylor University Medical Center. Magnolia and Baylor were hands down better than the other practice and Presbyterian Dallas! read more

I did not appreciate Dr Roth's response to me saying I wasn't interested in birth control at the time. If You are wanting to discuss other options besides birth control, do not schedule with Dr Roth. She delivered potential diagnoses to me in an uncaring way. I appreciated her acknowledging my symptoms as hard to manage, but the way she went about communicating was harsh and scary. Wow, what a disappointing experience. I set up an appointment and they didn't tell me until I came in that I had a balance of $391. I'm uninsured and paying out of pocket, and since it's the Pandemic and my job is slower than usual, I couldn't pay the full balance + my visit today. I offered to pay half the past due balance up front + my full visit today, then the remaining balance in a couple weeks. Considering I hadn't been notified of this bill in FIVE YEARS, no mail, no email notification, I figured they would accept this offer. But nope, they said if I couldn't pay in full I couldn't be seen today. So after waiting 30 min, I was turned away. I'll never go back to them for anything. Guess they're really hurting for business if they choose to turn away a paying customer over $195. I'm today's world, I'd think people would be more understanding. Such a disappointment. read more

It took me a while to find an obgyn clinic and gynocogist that I felt comfortable with but when I found Magnolia Obgyn, I knew this was going to be my forever clinic! The lovely ladies who work at this clinic are always so friendly and helpful. Dr. Roth and her nurse Christina made my visit so nice and easy. They answered all the questions I had for them and were very knowledgeable in their profession. So thank you Dr. Roth and Christina, you guys are awesome! The wait times are really bad here. Most the time, we waited more than an hour for our appointment. I had to switch doctors at 20 weeks because it was too far (moved to Frisco) and I would have had to take 1/2 a day off work every appointment with the drive and wait times. I prepaid for the doctor and never got a refund. I've called several times and they keep saying they'll take care of it. I switched in July 2017 and it's now April 2018 so it's safe to say I'll never see that money again. Update: they refunded my money in Sept 2018. read more

I was referred to Dr. Smith by the Methodist Uptown Medical Group (Dr. Allamon). I had to wait an hour to see the doctor but when I finally got in Dr. Smith was extremely apologetic stating their computer system was down. I would have appreciated the office staff telling me that when I checked in so I had an idea of the wait time since I was on my lunch break (which is why I only rated a 4) Dr. Smith was great, even though she was behind schedule she did not rush me out. She answered all of my questions and I appreciated her causal demeanor, she made me feel very comfortable. Though I have have had some scheduling conflicts, the nurses and the doctor have done their best to get me in when needed. I highly recommend Dr Smith, just don't wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment. read more

Dr.Newman is amazing. She's thoughtful, caring and takes her time with her patients. I can ask her anything! Now the front desk is a different story, they seem like they wish you weren't there. Barbara is awesome and some of the nurses definitely need some empathy. But despite all of this Dr. Newman makes up for it. I've also seen Dr. Haddock who delivered our son and she was incredible as well! read more

I'm giving two stars instead of one for the office staff. They really are nice and try to answer all of your questions. I did have to wait about 30 minutes after my appointment time, but I typically expect to wait anywhere I go and I was 5 minutes late so that's on me. My low star rating comes from one of the OBGYN's. I won't go in to detail, but Dr. Kamilia Smith did not listen to me and made me feel like i was crazy for thinking something else is wrong. I don't enjoy being made to feel like I am crazy, especially when I am coming to you for help. I won't go in to detail, but I've suffered with a minor issue for years now and I know what that issue feels like. I went in for a different reason and was told that there was nothing else wrong with me. After pushing that it has to be something else, I was told to look elsewhere for other options. I was also told by Dr. Smith that she would follow up with my primary to figure out the next step. That never happened and after calling Magnolia several times with only one return call from the nurse, I gave up. Had the SAME EXACT sonogram sent over to another OBGYN and I'm having surgery next month. Save your $$ and find a doctor who cares and wants a relationship with you. Not someone who is trying to get patients in and out. The thing that bothers me most, is that getting medical help isn't cheap. I am blessed enough to be able to afford some trial and errors, but what about the people who are spending their last dollar and can't afford to go elsewhere after not being helped properly? It breaks my heart to know that. :( read more

I couldn't say enough great things about Magnolia OBGYN. I've seen Dr. Newman for years now and she's the best obgyn I've been to. She was everything I look for in an obstetrician as well; very thorough, comforting, and genuine. During my recent pregnancy, I was frequently nervous and Dr. Newman was always able to answer all questions and concerns of mine and my husband's to put us at ease. This office has normal wait times to be expected of such a popular and busy location. Clean and comfortable office. I've always been treated with care from all staff members and I will be a patient of Dr. Newman's for many years to come. read more

They also will not let you schedule an appointment with the doctor unless it's a well women's or after you have tried whatever they feel like prescribing you over the phone. While Dr. Wells is a nice person, our experience with her was not optimal and ended quite horribly when she botched our son's circumcision. In total, my wife experienced close enough contractions to go to the hospital on five different visits. Dr. Wells was never available in person for any of these including 24 hours of labor and eventual cesarean. After the birth of our son, my wife experienced dangerous sepsis from infection due to prolonged labor. Our baby was also in the 90th percentile for size and my wife is a small person and could not naturally birth our son. This is important because Dr. Wells is all about natural birthing. The on-call residents did their job well even though Wells could not see us. When Dr. Wells finally saw us out son was already two days old and has nothing helpful to say. For our son's circumcision, Wells was not confident enough to complete the procedure due to possible hypospadia. A urologist found this was a misdiagnosis and completed the procedure. read more

Dr. Wells is really nice but my appointments always start 40-60 minutes late. It's really frustrating to take off work just to sit in a room for an hour. It happens every single time I come so it's not just on "crazy days". I'll be switching doctors, I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have the choice. read more

But the front desk is not welcoming and the frosted window does not help. Wish the front desk would greet and be more helpful when entering the office. I love every person I've met in this office! Dr Newman is amazing, Dr Wells delivered my son and was amazing, and all the staff members were great throughout my pregnancy as well! My *only* reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I switched to them for this pregnancy from a different OB in the area and my previous office was much more accessible. An online patient portal and the ability to communicate with your doctor's nurse more easily would be really helpful. Other than that, they really are great! read more

If you aren't pregnant or don't plan to be in the future go find another practice. I travel extensively for work and made an appointment in April which was cancelled while I was undressed and waiting in the exam room. It will take another 3 months for them to see me again and even when another friend that goes to the practice was squeezed in for general exam. Also, wait times in the waiting room are a little ridiculous. read more

I am so lucky to have found Dr. Wells. She is seriously the best doctor and genuinely cares about you. I never once have felt like she was in a hurry or too busy to listen to me. She always makes sure she has answered your questions 100% before you leave. She was so supportive and amazing during my pregnancy and delivery. I had anxiety and fear about the delivery process from the get go and she made it a breeze. I could not have survived pregnancy/ child birth without her. Best doctor for sure. The office staff was always very friendly and helpful. The only comment I have is that they seem stressed all the time or understaffed. In my opinion Dr. Kamilia Smith is very inexperienced even when it comes to the simplest procedures. A few years ago I went in to have her remove an IUD that she had inserted. I endured excruciating pain as she struggled to find the string. She was literally digging inside my uterus to find the string she claimed was too short. After 2 unsuccessful attempts and no luck, she recommended surgery to remove them. At that point, I decided to see a different doctor. My new Doctor's Physician Assistant was able to locate the string and remove the IUD in less than 5 minutes. read more
