The new doctor doesn't answer the phone. Have to call over and over again to get a prescription refilled.

However, the last few years I'm suddenly treated like an idiot. Neurology and GI have been the worst offenders. I've been told I needed to research what a neurologist does. I've been told I need to reach out to the community for answers. I've watched doctors use the exact same websites I've used and explain to me after googling something right in front of me. - like I haven't looked all of this up before. I'm well aware what a neurologist is, what a movement neurologist is, what they are supposed to do. Being told that they look at your child and guess based on what they see and treat it With medications? I can do that at home. I can look up what spasms, seizures, movement disorders, ticks, Tourette's and other jerks are. Then I can look up commonly used medications to treat the condition. What I can't do is write a prescription. Being unwilling to work with another department to figure out what the child is suffering from? That's unprofessional. Yet, all 3 specialists ignored my request that they brainstorm together to try to do more than use medications that won't work or that actually cause more problems. Bottom line is this: if you're a doctor and you don't have the answers, send us to someone else that can answer or is willing to find out! if you're not willing to work with a family anymore, suggestions of where to go are required. To just give up or be rude and ignore questions is not okay. Im supposed trust you with my child's care and I don't. No, I won't be reaching out to your team about my experience. The doctor will know exactly who this is and what it's about. Burn out is real, it's time to find your humanity, take a break and come back with a clear understanding that just because it's not life threatening as far as you can tell, doesn't mean it's not life interrupting or hurting the child. dismissing that is unacceptable. refer the family to someone else, even if it's outside your hospital!

For us this is a great way to start with a new doctor and stay for a very long time. The staff is very friendly. The wait time is minimal due to the few patients. Dr. Davalos and Evelyn (nurse) speak Spanish which is a plus for my wife. I don't know if the rest if the staff does, but I'm sure they can direct you with someone that does. Dr. Davalos is very detailed and explains everything so that you can understand it. I am very happy that we came here. I hope the service level stays the same for years to come.

I had to select 1 star - I'd give this guy a ZERO if I could and I'd stand out in front of his office to warn other people away !!! The entire staff is rude and inefficient - I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment with my paperwork already completed and still waited an hour in the small, cramped waiting room - they said they lost some of my other medical record paperwork that had been FAXed there, TWICE, from another office, and then they never returned my calls when I was trying to track it down with them - then it turned out that it had been sitting around somewhere for a week because someone was on vacation - and no one else there had any interest in finding it or resolving the problem. They ordered expensive lab tests without telling me - and then even though I have medicare and a 100% supplemental policy, I got the bill for the lab charges because the doctor's office didn't send the information that the lab would need to process the lab charges with my insurance carrier! I have serious doubts about the doctor's capabilities in ACCURATELY diagnosing my back problem (a bulging disc - not rocket science). He seemed distracted and uninterested in getting to the root cause of my problem. He did listen politely to my complaints about his staff's office procedures, remarking that it's very difficult to find capable help.
