My personal physician for many years. Zero negatives. I've know Dr Palacios for over 30 years.

Dr Palacios is compassionate, professional and thorough. He has helped me for many years and I recommend his care.

I recently moved to Dallas and needed a new primary I have seen Dr. Palacios 3 times. Each time I found his bed side manner strange and borderline bizarre. He has a weird effect and his communication skills are lacking. On my last visit which was this past week he told me I needed to see a cardiologist, based on an ekg they performed on sight. He then said, "ok your done you can grab your things and leave." I asked him if he was going to provide a recommendation, he said "well I will send the information to your insurance". I left and it was super weird. I guess I will need to seek out a cardiologist online. My previous Dr. I only saw 2-3 times a year and never thought anything of it..but he was great, spent time to get to know me, and I felt he was committed to me as my Dr., now I know what it feels like when you don't have confidence in you PCP and it doesn't feel good. read more

I'm actually reluctant to write a review for Dr. Palacios because, quite frankly, I don't want the rest of you going to see him. It's pure selfishness. We've been going to see Dr. Palacios as a family for well over 10 years now. His office was a seemingly hidden gem when he was on Mockingbird, and he's still great now that he's moved over to the new office. His office is even more convenient than the local doc-in-a-box places, or those scam local er's that are popping up everywhere. Any time I've called, they get me right in. Most times they've simply asked "Can you come now?" When I get there I rarely have to wait more than just a couple of minutes. He even has office hours on Saturday! My wife has her primary physician, my kids have their pediatricians. But we all still use Dr. Palacios routinely. Wife got pneumonia and had to go to the hospital. Dr. Palacios took good care of us. Routine flu/strep/ear infection/etc., Dr. Palacios always has us covered. You think your kid might have broken his arm at a soccer game on a Saturday, your pediatrician is closed, and your pediatrician doesn't have their own x-ray machine anyway? Dr. Palacios has you covered. Very competent doctor. We're always well cared for. Plus, he's just a really decent human being. It's like having all of the convenience of a neighborhood doc-in-the-box, but with the competence and continuity of care that you get from having your own family doctor. How is that not perfect? But don't you all start going to him, because I still like feeling like it's my own little secret and that I can always get in because maybe no one else knows how great and convenient this office is. read more

Wish I would have read these reviews before. I called in prior to going to tell them what I needed and they said it would be fine. Heard great things and was excited to find a good doctor. Took off work, came in, explained I moved back in town and needed medication refilled and was made to feel crazy at the thought of asking for a medicine refill from a doctor. Great location for me as I am located near SMU. The parking can be difficult at times as it is a busy area with a Starbucks and grocery store on both sides of the office. The nurses and doctor are always very warm and welcoming. You don't ever seem to wait an additional 30-45 minutes after checking in like I feel I have at a lot of other doctors offices which is great considering you probably aren't feeling well if you are here. I have felt each time the staff has done everything within their control to help me feel better as soon as possible...whether setting up a visit with another specialist or providing prescriptions/shots to help whatever is ailing me. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Palacios for over 6 years and have referred over 20 colleagues and friends to him and we all share the same sentiment, he's bedside manner is unmatched by anyone any of us have ever experienced. He diagnosed me with an extreme rare condition that subsequently led to my infertility on the first appointment I ever had with him. For 10 years I knew and felt something was wrong and fortunately for me I've always had excellent healthcare but non of the other top hospitals and physicians were able to discover what he did in just 30 minutes - all he had to do was look at my file and actually piece my health history- what a concept right? I highly recommend Dr. Luis Palacios to anyone that wants to experience what an authentic relationship should be like with a PCP. He's just opened this practice, so please be patient as the office is just settling in there new home and they are still facing some technology issues beyond their control. . read more

Amazing! I wouldn't listen to the bad reviews. He is the best general doctor I have seen ever - he treats general wellness and sports injuries, as well as take the time to get to know his patients. Even the best docs will throw you over the wall to other specialists that will only treat symptoms and not patient as whole. He just opened this office after a rude corporate take over of his other office in lake highlands so he is building up the staff that was stolen from him. This doctor has been my husband's primary care physician for over three years now. He fell off some stairs and hurt his back. We came in 2 hours before closing with no one in the waiting room. They refused to see us because he didn't have an appointment. He wouldn't even look at him and instead sent us to the emergency room where we had to pay the emergency room fees and all. What a crappy way to treat your patients. Posting this on all the doctors in their practice since I'm not sure who was working that day. read more

We've known Dr Palacios since he was a Resident at SW Med School. His medical skills are everything one would expect. His office staff are the opposite. Medical referrals are not completed, med refill request are not passed on, and no apparent administrative oversite by the office manager. read more

Dr. Palacios is the BEST! We were happy to find out he was at a new location and was recently seen as a walk in on a Saturday. The staff was friendly, although they were about to close when I showed up and still had other patients in the waiting room. I felt a little bad about that but I was feeling very sick and didn't want to go to ER. I was in and out in no time! read more

Dr Palacios is the MOST WONDERFUL doctor ever. I really don't ever want to see anyone else.

After seeing him for many years I went back when he relocated.After one visit I called his rude office and explained that due to my familial tremors I had spilled a bottle of my medicine and 6 or 6 pills had gone under my refrigerator. I was informed by his staff that that it was a nonsense excuse,such as "the dog ate my homework" or that I was possibly giving them away (Or maybe I was selling them). We were talking about 6 pills. Well today, I spilled a large cup of hot coffee all over myself (due to my familial tremors) so much for their over the phone diagnosis. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this office. They are rude, uncaring and totally unprofessional. I was pleased to receive a letter from them saying they would no longer work with me. I was never going back anyway.......... read more

I've been seeing Dr. Palacios for two years now and he's the best doctor I've ever been to. He's incredibly knowledgeable and interested in making sure I understand the root of the issues I'm having (usually sports-related injuries) and understands how important it is for me to get healthy as quickly as possible. I'd recommend him to any endurance athlete. I can usually get an appointment with him within a couple of days, and I never feel rushed or hurried while I'm in the office, and the office staff is always very nice to me. read more

I'm pretty healthy (knock on wood), so I haven't had occasion to see him very many times, but any time I have gone, I've never felt rushed to explain myself. He's a really good listener. When I broke my wrist while hiking, he actually helped the nurse's assistant set the splint on my arm. We're both cyclists, so lots of good simpatico on that front. Office seems to run well. Dr Luis Palacios is a decent doctor with good bedside manners, but his office is terrible, and probably the worst clinic that I have been to. The only thing they managed to get right was my billing address, and the amount they wanted to charge me. They sent me to two different pharmacies while I was in pain and seeking my medication, and neither pharmacy had my prescription in their system. The nurses were very little help over the phone, dismissive, and hung up on me when they could not help the situation, despite having being polite and patient with them. Stay away from Medical Partners of Lakewood. There is no followup whatsoever with your medical results, and will rush to bill you way before you get your results. If there is an issue with your labs, they will blame the labs instead of doing the right thing and taking accountability and following up with them so they can provide you with your results. There is no payment system; if they want people to pay their bills on time, they need to invest in an online payment system. read more

Please fix the telephone lines! I tried calling three weeks ago for two days, puts you in automatic hold, tells you how many callers in the que, then hangs up after 20-30 minutes. I finally had to go in person on a Saturday. Receptionist said phones are being changed over to Baylor lines. Update to today, a friend tried calling for last hour, told me the same thing. How can anyone get through please list of update telephone lines. The number listed online doesn't put you through!! read more

I like Dr Palacios a lot. I agree with the other reviewers in that he never rushes you and always takes the time to hear all of your ailments with true compassion. I like that he always sends my prescription to CVS before I walk out of the door. My only concern is the office staff. Why such a height turnover? Does Doctors Hospital just stink to work for? (They are associated with Doctors). It does frustrate me that every time I go into his office the ladies up front are in training or just plain confused. Dr. Palacios is a caring, capable family practice doctor. I have found his staff to be quite capable. This opinion is based on almost 50 years of experience in dealing with a number of doctors (a number of whom I stayed with until they retired). Dr. Palacios is very pleasant and attentive and considerate and knowledgeable in his patient relations. I look forward to many more years of having him as my doctor. This Dr is wonderful, he a very nice man when you get to see him. I dont get sick often, but when I do, I need to be able to call the Dr and get an apt that same day. That does not happen. Over the last year I have now had to go to the minute clinic because i can never get into see him. very disappointing. I am starting to look for new drs unfortunately. I think for a physician most important quality is competency and he seems to be very good what he does. He also takes enough time to talk about your concerns and you feel very comfortable talking to him.Medical staff was also extremely nice. Only complain I have is about the office assistants: during our first visit they did not schedule the appointment at the right time and we end up missing the correct time but Dr. Palacios was nice enough to see us after-hours. I cannot get in to see this doctor when I need to. His staff does not return phone calls. My son saw him more than two weeks ago; he is still not well. My pharmacy tried to two weeks to call him for a refill. If I needed my carpet cleaned, I could probably wait. I am running a fever; that won't wait. I've been to Med Post twice; they now advise I need to see my Primary Care Physician. But my doctor is not in the business of patient care. I do not recommend this practice. Please find a doctor who is concerned with your health and prepare to care for patients. read more

Dr. Palacios is my favorite Doctor so far. I wish I could have taken him across the country with me when I moved. :( He always made me feel comfortable and at ease, that's saying a lot since I get 'white coat syndrome' at most Dr's offices! Highly recommended! read more

If you ever feel anxious about going to the doctor, Dr. Palacios will put you at ease! He and his staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking since he shares the parking lot with Albertson's. I felt like he spent way more time with me in the exam room than most doctors do. I had several questions and he never made me feel like I was using up too much of his time, which lots of other doctors do!
