Ask the Community - Hillcrest Medical

I know I don't need an emergency care but my doctor's office is closed. If I come in and possibly get a antibiotic prescription for laryngitis/ phlegm what should I expect to pay as a cash customer?

You should call the office & get the cash-pay price for a visit. Dr. Padilla is usually in the office, but he also has a nurse practitioner, Shelly, and they are billed at different prices. I have insurance so I don't know the cash price. Hope this…

You wait outside / in your car until they have an open room for you and then they text you. The moment you walk in you're taken to a closed off room. - Service: The service is very efficient! You fill out all paperwork in advance so you only go in for testing. They take your vitals and medical history after they swab you for a rapid test to speed up the 15 minute wait time. After your results are finished, one of the team members comes to discuss your results and whether or not you'd like to get a PCR test as well. - Pricing: Sinai takes many insurance plans (listed on their website) and you can call to confirm if you're unsure. Overall, Sinai is the most efficient COVID-19 testing I've experienced or heard of. You can make appointments up to 2 days in advance, but if they don't have any available keep refreshing their site and it's likely you'll come across a cancellation. I haven't been to their other locations, but I've heard equally good things about their Dallas location!

It leads to dead lines. I called the facility and they are not able to do anything. My insurance needs information in order to pay the bill, which I did not even receive in a timely manner as required by Texas State Law. Someone at Citra needs to fix this as it is horrible customer service and illegal. The level of care received here was horrendous. I walked out worse than I came in.

I had been at an ER on 10 January for a nose bleed that was over 4 hours in duration. They performed a chemical cauterization. The PA who attended on the 15th, without even a cursory examination said nothing there, probably just the area scabbing up. Use a cotton ball soaked in Afrin if it starts bleeding again. The attached is what came out 2-days later when I blew my nose. Yes, that's a wad of gauze roughly 1.5" in length x .75" in diameter. So much for a thorough examination. Probably should have been concerned when I blew my nose in the waiting room, producing a few tissues covered in blood and asked for a SHARPS container to put the blood soaked tissue into it and all I got was blank looks. How does a building full of medical professionals NOT know what a SHARPS container is? Interesting that this has been posted for 14 days now and not a pip out of anyone from CityDoc. Maybe an attorney out there could provide some guidance...?

Due to circumstances, I ended up at Advance ER and came away extremely impressed with the staff and facility. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Facility, Return) Atmosphere - I was immediately greeted upon walking in and directed to sit in a very nice waiting area. While this is a full emergency room, I felt like I was in a nicely decorated doctor's office. It made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. 1 Star. Service - The staff went above and beyond. I explained my situation, provided my ID and info, and the helped me throughout the process including assisting with paperwork. Each of the nurses on staff were also helpful, treated me with respect, and the whole time I felt very at ease. 1 Star. Facility - This is the most impressive part of Advance ER. It's like a hospital floor, with a nursing station and examination rooms. Also, they can do everything on site, like imaging, blood and urine work, and more. This makes it very convenient because I didn't have to go to different offices. Everything I needed was done at Advance ER. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes (actually No, because it means something happened to me ). But Yes I would recommend Advance ER to anyone who wants a one stop shop to get a checkup/imaging/prescriptions, etc. all in one place. 1 Star.

However, I am beyond thankful for the nurses, doctors, and medics that work here. The knowledge of the doctors is outstanding. I was 2 days post op, and instead of having to be subjected to the hospital and its environment of germs I was able to come to Advance ER, be seen and treated in a nice, quiet area. The doctors are phenomenal. You are not rushed, and they take their time to not miss anything. They genuinely care about you as a person and getting you to not only feeling better, but making sure if you need to be transferred, your care team needs to be communicated with, or you need to be under their observation, they are open to it all. You are told from the beginning what is typically going to happen, and the plan of care. I can not recommend them enough. However, they are OON with (most) insurances.

This is by far the worst CareNow clinic I've ever been to…read more First, I called earlier this week regarding scheduling of an employment required drug test, where I was told no appointment was necessary since it would be quick. FALSE. Today, Thursday, I checked for available appointments online and the bookings were wide open for drug tests. I showed up around 3:20, scanned the QR Code at the unmanned front desk, and completed the registration where I received a wait time and Que in line for 4:44. TWO HOURS LATER (from 3:25), the person at the front desk then tells me I needed to ALSO check in with her.... WHY???? I was already checked in and in the Que. Nevertheless, upon this happening, I still waited over 30 minutes. Once I was called back for the test, I was told to observe all the signs in the bathroom. "Don't flush toilet" and "Go outside the restroom to wash your hands once the specimen has been given to the assistant." There was UNFLUSHED PEE in the toilet from a previous donor and pee alllllll over the floor. Grossed out as I was, I proceeded with the task and gave my speciman to the employee, then washed my hands. I asked her if she knew there was other peoples unflushed pee in the toilet and she responded "Noooo...???" That breaks all protocols and the purpose of having participants not flush, by the way. Then I told her it was also all over the floor. Baffled at this point, I was told to retrieve my belongings from the drawer and then sign the confirmation of my test using their electronic pen that only God knows how many people have touched that surely hasn't been sanitized. Upon reaching for the drawer, the handle was sticky and that's when I about lost it. I left the drawer open and immediately went back to wash my hands AGAIN. This location is absolutely terrible. The one, and I mean one, positive I will give them is that the staff was not rude. I could tell the front desk lady was used to how things are run. Will I use this specific clinic again? Absolutely not.
