This place does not return your calls. I have left THREE voice mails since LAST WEEK and have yet to receive a call back. I'm not sure why they even have a phone number if nobody ever picks up or returns calls. I suppose if you never have questions or reasons to call, this place might work for you. Although I don't see how you can ever make an appointment if nobody ever picks up the phone or returns your messages! I was calling on behalf of my mom who is a patient there to ask some follow up questions about her test results and have yet to receive a call back so we are in a state where we do not know what next steps are. I would give this a zero rating if I could. If you want to deal with nobody answering phone or returning your phone calls this is the place to go. We have had several situations where my boyfriend needed his insulin and they had failed to answer the phone. At one point we couldn't get a hold of them for almost a week, even after leaving countless voice messages.This place is very disorganized and it's very frustrating. Considering that this place deals with patients that need life saving medication, you would think they would at least answer the phone. read more

Zero stars. A terrible experience. Do yourself a favor, and go elsewhere. He is not personable or friendly, and definitely seems to have an extra dose of contempt if you are overweight. I didn't like the conversation that we had--it felt like he paid little attention to my personal history, and had a "once-size-fits-all" treatment agenda. Adding to the crummy ambiance, the place is a dirty mess, including the waiting room and the examination room. In addition, the young woman who did my blood draw was outrageously rude. I'm a friendly and reasonably patient person, but she angered me so completely that I walked over to the receptionist (the only nice person there, I have no idea how she manages it), and told her I needed to go elsewhere to have my blood drawn. She sent me upstairs, to a refreshingly clean office, and a sane and friendly woman. DON'T GO HERE. Maybe try the Polyclinic instead. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Dr. Silver has the worst bedside manner of anyone I've ever seen, and that's really bad coming from someone who grew up seeing military doctors. He doesn't fully answer your questions, I've been scheduled for an ultrasound and biopsy for some growth on my thyroid TWICE and each time, he looks at my chart and simply says, "I'm not going to run those tests today. Watch your calories and I'll see you in a year". I still have NO clue as to what is going on with my thyroid, but I won't find any answers with this schmuck. Save your time and copay, go to someone who hasn't been living in a cave. Especially if you are a woman, there are friendly doctors everywhere that will treat you with dignity and get your needs met. I don't know where this guy got his degree, but they definitely didn't teach him about how to keep patients once he gets one. read more

Alright, I have to defend my doctor here. Is he awkward? Yes. Is the waiting room kind of dated? Yes. Does he tell me my BMI is obese every time I am there? Yes. But...He knows his stuff. I do not go to him to feel warm and fuzzy, I go to him for hypothyroidism. And guess what? My medication is managed and I have annual follow ups. He is one of the few doctors that I see annually and follows up with me about my chronic condition. He does insist on the name brand medication, but that's because the generics have weird dosing but still remain in range. If you have an endocrinology issue, go see him. If you want to feel warm and fuzzy, see a different doctor. read more

I was recommend here and I've had a very bad experience personally. I don't normally go to yelp because I understand we are all people who make mistakes and I try to be understanding. Although, I was too disappointed not to say something. The service I've received the last few times I've been to this office has been insane. I can barely make an appointment here because they are closed Thursday's and on weekends and take two hour lunch breaks everyday during the week. Every time I have called in to get back lab results I've been sent directly to voicemail..even after I've left numerous voicemails I have yet got a call back about my lab results I did almost two weeks ago..today it has been eight day's since I've heard back and when I called over a week ago they had my test results sitting on their desk but had not yet looked at them..it's clear my health and experience as a client is not a priority to them. I don't think doctor silver is a bad doctor but I don't have a lifetime to figure out my health issues..I need answers and would rather go somewhere else where I can get results and start figuring out my what I need to do to make changes. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this facility unless you have a clear schedule and a lot of time to sit around and wait to hear back from them. read more

I also have to defend my doc here. He isn't the most talkative person and isn't warm and fuzzy but he knows his stuff and always makes sure I am getting the correct medication. He always answers all of my questions. Nancy is wonderful, very kind and understanding if I have to miss an appt or two. My life is very hectic with work and home life and they understand that. Those things are very important to me. Plus Doc Silver's dog is adorable and very sweet. Any doc who brings in his dog to work is ok by me. Makes the doc visit a little less stressful. I fully believe Dr. Mark Silver saved me from being very, very ill with complications if not saving my life entirely. He is very to the point, knows his field extremely well, has an education most could never even imagine, and he brings his dog in sometimes. You just can't beat that. I see some reviews which say his character or manner are not optimal, but you know what? It is. For a medical profession his is outstandingly mannered. If you want a "bestie" go to the mall. If you want a knowledgeable endocrinologist who can give you the best methods for controlling your health issues, go see him. And his staff are totally friendly! They go above and beyond to help patients, more than any medical team I have ever met in my 50 years on this planet. Treating the problems in his specialty does take time, return visits and follow ups, routine testing so just expect that. You don't have a cold that will clear up in 10 days, diabetes can take yeeeeaaars to treat. A family member of mine sees a different doctor and has had terrible, terrible problems. I wish he was close enough to me to see Dr. Silver. read more

As far as my care (I can't speak for anyone else): He had poor bedside manner with me, I got more ill with him, he gave me little or no information for my disease, he spent most appointments less than 4 minutes in the room with me, waiting time exceeding 35 minutes most appointments, lab techs were rough when taking blood and missed the vein most of the time, not so good bedside manners, introvert (a doctor?), nice front desk staff woman, hard to get to test things or explain tests...maybe better on the diabetes side of things and not as good on the thyroid side. I noticed a lot of patients yelling at him a lot, or demanding maybe because they got little information for their problems. A lot of upset patients from waiting too long in the sitting room. I paid a lot of money for little or no help for my problem. read more

Dreadful man, mean, unsympathetic, NOT thorough--scary in his disrespectfulness. Due to his dismissive, rude behaviour, I felt he was incompetent, not to mention his office was a mess. Never will go back! Not even in an emergency. read more
