Wow. That negative review really threw me.
Dr. Scarr is the kindest, most caring doctor I've known for quite a while. My elderly father started seeing him after his last doctor over prescribed narcotics and we obviously needed a big change. My dad was extremely intelligent and had a dry wit, and Dr. Scarr was able to engage with him, all the while gauging my father's health and mental health. As my father grew older and I started going with him to his appointments, I was impressed with Dr Scarr's seemingly enjoyment of my father and his skill in determining what was Dad's proper care. Once when I went to visit my dad at his memory care facility, I found my Dad ill and the nurse there claimed he was fine. I called Dr. Scarr's office, they told me to have the nurse take his vitals while they held on, and then when I told them what they were, urged me to take him to the ER immediately. They cared. They took excellent care of my dad. Shortly before my Dad died, my mother became terminally ill and Dr. Scarr helped us find a good oncologist in Seattle, even though my mother was not his patient. He helped my Dad and in doing so, helped me get through the hardest journey, knowing my Dad was in good hands. read more
