The staff is great, the prices are a bit high. all in all the doctors are good , maybe not the friendliest but good. great parking, and the front desk are lovely. they have an in house pharmacy with very reasonable prices. just wish the doctors were reasonable. read more

I grew tired of the revolving door that I experienced with other physicians in the Seattle area. My time is as important as any physicians. I show up on time, they could too. And I've worked front office and back office with physicians, I know it can be done. Anyway, an acquaintance of mine posted about improvements to her health. I wanted a change so I pressed her for some details. She happily told me about the naturopaths at NSNM. In March 2012, I admittedly made my first appointment with a little hesitation. I didn't have much experience with alternative medicine except for home remedies that my grandmother did. I went into the clinic with an open mind. Julie checked me in with little fuss and I made a cup of tea while I waited. My wait was minimal. Jennifer came into the waiting room, introduced herself, and led me back to the exam room for my first visit. She listened. I mean, doctors are trained to listen but I got the sense that she was genuinely listening to everything that I said. The hour flew by easily. After several visits since then, I am a convert. I do not doubt the dedication that Jennifer has for her patients. She and Robin Sinclair (her clinic partner) genuinely care and listen to your concerns when discussing your healthcare needs. I've had both providers call me at home to check on me during my protracted bout with pertussis. Yeah... that was less than fun. A recent (and welcome) addition to their practice is a collaborative effort with Passionate Nutrition, a wonderful group of certified nutritionists. Jennifer Adler is my nutritionist and she listens without judgement. Check out my review for them if you want more information. Parking is easy and plentiful. Their second-floor location is easy to find and accessible via a small lift. At the end of your visit, your treatment plan will be sent home with you in case you forget what was prescribed or suggested. I cannot recommend them enough. The best medical facility I have ever been treated at! First, thank you Wanda for all your help with scheduling, supplement orders and all my questions! Second, thank you Dr. Jenna Zampiello. When I first saw Dr. Z, I was on medical leave then had to quit my job entirely due to my health. I have been suffering for 10+ years going to every specialist and had countless tests/scan/labs etc. All very $$ with no answers and DRs kept telling me it was all in my head and that I looked fine. Dr. Z was the first person to listen to me, get my body out of crisis mode and discovered I had mold toxicity and Lyme. She is extremely intelligent and provides plenty of options for treatments. After years of fighting a losing battle with allergies, I was finally talked into seeing a naturopath. Oh how I wish I had discovered naturopathic care and North Seattle Natural Medicine sooner! The clinic is in Shoreline and was super easy to get to. Tons of parking. Check in was smooth with the usual documents to fill out. The staff was very friendly; even offered me a cup of coffee or tea while I waited. Waiting room was very nicely done with comfy chairs and good reading materials. They have two doctors there, I saw Dr. Sinclair. She was right on time and had taken the time to read up on why I was coming in. I'm so used to doctors flying into the room (usually 20 minutes late) pretending to listen for 3 minutes, then writing a script for the next trendy med the drug rep happened to sell them on that day. Dr. Sinclair actually took the time to get a detailed understanding of my allergy issues, what's worked, what hasn't worked, and crafted a plan that has me down to 1 medication from 3 and will ultimately have me off the allergy meds (after 30 years) all together! I'm a pretty curious person by nature and I loved that she got into the details of why my body was being triggered to react to certain allergens and how we can work to prevent my body to over-reacting in the first place instead of just suppressing the symptoms with meds. My son was appointed to work with Dr. Lush, and it's been weeks since we've heard back. I'm really surprised at this level of communication.

I saw Dr. Lush just before I tried to get pregnant, to make sure I was healthy and ready for conception and pregnancy. I didn't feel like any of my traditional physicians took the time to provide preventative care and I thought a naturopathic doctor would. On the entrance form, you have to provide details of your health problems. I consider myself a healthy person already, but when pressed, I jotted down my asthma (something I thought I was born with and would never get rid of), jaw pain, and low iron sometimes reported to me at the blood donation center. Dr. Lush immediately suspected that all of these things were related, and likely due to an inflammatory response to something in my environment. She ordered a very thorough blood test (didn't even waste time on skin testing) and found out that I am highly allergic to whey protein and casein, not just lactose like I suspected. Also that my ferritin and iron binding capacity were way off. She gave me a thorough consult with education materials on how to avoid whey and casein and what supplements to take. After 2 months of following her advice, I was able to run for the first time in my life without wheezing. My jaw pain went away. My ferritin started going up and I had more energy than I have had since I was a child. 1 month after that, I got pregnant and I am having a normal pregnancy without much fatigue. I trust Dr. Lush to continue caring for me and my husband and my children. She is knowledgeable, thorough, experienced, and caring. The office is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I generally only yelp positive things because of Yelps policy of no way to refute or even update a negative experience. I am a long time patient of this clinic and Dr. Lush. I have always found the staff to be professional and more than nice enough. Dr's Lush and Sinclair are excellent diagnosticians and in many instances, have out diagnosed my allopathic Doctors. You see, I have several very complex conditions that overlap. I am a Cancer survivor with an auto immune disorder and chronic pain. This is where I get irritated. I have read a couple of Yelps on here that seem very damaging and unreasonable. Let me tell you how it works in the real world. If I am late for an appointment at a clinic like UW physicians or Polyclinic or Swedish I will be extremely lucky to get in. If I want to go over my results I have to go in and sit with a Doctor. I don't understand why people think it should be different with a Naturopathic Clinic. I am so Tired of Mommy's playing the mommy card! My mother had seven children by the time she was thirty. We were never late for anything ever. It is called mutual respect. I don't want a few angry self entitled mommies to ruin it for me. It is far too difficult to find competent medical care in this city. Most clinics charge for one hour and see you for maybe 12 minutes after a medical assistant starts your chart and takes your vitals. They are required to only discuss one issue or it is another insurance or self pay code. I have been treated so well by the wonderful doctors at this clinic that I actually recommend them to everyone I know. They aren't so hippy-dippy that if I have a sinus infection I can't get western style antibiotics. Nope they handle each condition with the least harmful but most effective medicine. not a bunch of a Garlic and herbs and a netti-pot. I have been down that road. I get the best of both worlds and believe me I have fired a lot of Doctors in my life for just not being good enough. So to the two negative Nelly, Self indulgent Mommies. Good luck out there. I expect the welcome you get elsewhere to be far worse. These are excellent, very busy Doctors. They have to pay their bills too. 50.00 to get to see a doctor and discuss test results is super cheap. I just paid 157.00 for a 10 minute med refill visit across the street at the UW Shoreline clinic. I didn't get pissy because I have been taking the same meds for ten years. I just paid as I do every two months. Oh and the massage therapist Katie is amazing. Wake up mommies. You chose to have a child, suck it up and follow the rules like the rest of us. You don't get special treatment because you were able to get knocked up. read more

The best! I have had a couple of experiences before with Naturopathic medicine and I knew it was the way I wanted to go in my health care journey. In the past I never felt a perfect fit but now that this office has opened up I feel truly cared about and taken care of. I went to Jenna Zampiello,s office for acupuncture treatment. I was quoted a $10 dollar Co-pay and insurance would pay the balance. I had lots of issues with billing and did not know about the procedural codes that insurance would not pay for. Dr Zampiello office and unitedhealth care did not advise me of these hidden cost charged to me, above and beyond the co- pay. I said seventy dollars and then another $40 dollars two months late. I feel that Dr Zampiello office should know what insurance will pay for not just charge me because they can. I've been seeing Dr. Lush for the last eight years, following her from her first practice in Madison Park, to West Seattle and now to North Seattle. I'm hooked! I was the first in my family to see her, but as my kids have gotten older I've been sending them to her as they've outgrown their pediatricians. She's been awesome with them. We've seen Dr. Lush for a whole host of reasons and we've always been beyond thrilled with our interactions. She takes a ton of time to listen, and I don't ever feel rushed when I visit . At the same time she's fit my kids in when I've been anxious, going out of her way accomodate us. I can't reccomend her highly enough. Parking is terrific btw. read more

I don't yelp often but when I notice extraordinary or sadly lacking service I take the opportunity. The doctors at this establishment are lovely but the procedures & care for the overall patient experience is less than desirable. As a teacher I can only go during the summer due to their lack of hours outside a typical work day. So last summer & this summer I had some routine blood work ordered by this office. Last summer the doc called me & shared the results w me on the phone, took a few minutes, easy as pie. Well, this summer same actions but different response. First of all, I had to call and ask for my results as they did not call me. A couple days later they got back to me that they were ready to give me results and I needed to schedule an appointment. So I gave 3 different options for this particular week. Well my doc wasn't coming in the day I was available so I asked if any of the others were available to read them to me. They shared not one of their docs had time to give me the 5 min results anytime that week. So then naturally I asked if my doc could call me w the results when she had time. The gal on the phone said they don't call patients to give results. I explained that's exactly what happened last year, doc called, I listened, minute convo, one and done. She said that wasn't their procedure & if I wanted a phone "consult," it would cost 50$!! Of course, I don't want to pay 50$ for a minute convo especially for lackluster blood work like sugar levels and progesterone, nothing close to exciting. I politely asked if they would share the predicament I'm in again-back to work next week, no docs available this week to read results, & it was done before w no mention that it wasn't procedure. Yes, she did ask again & nope apparently procedure trumped any kind of customer service. Essentially, pay the 50$ or get another doc to read these silly results. I asked if I could come grab or view a copy of my results again no. Welp, you guessed it I'm sending my results and business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. This is the second review of policy trumping service for this practice & in my book my hard earned money should be paying for extraordinary service & doctors. Thanks for taking time to read! Update: shared this little story with my good friend who is a lawyer & she said that in fact this institution is in violation of Hippa law. When I asked to have a copy or view my results myself they said no they wouldn't allow this without having a doc to read them to me. Here's the law: HIPAA requires that all patients be able access their own medical records, correct errors or omissions, and be informed how personal information is shared used. Beware of an establishment that does not follow patient protection laws. Time to call and share the LAW with this practice. read more

I have been using traditional medicine docs since I was a child, but recently have become quite disenchanted with my regular doc because I started to feel like I was having unnecessary (or at least unhelpful) tests and no getting any closer to feeling better. Basically felt like I was chasing my own (very expensive!) tail. My first visit with Dr. Sinclair was like seeing the light on the horizon. She listened extremely well, asked questions to make sure she fully understood my symptoms, explained to me what she thought was going on, and prescribed treatment that actually... wait for it... WORKED! I am astounded by her knowledge about all the tiniest details of how our bodies work-- she can tell you just off the top of her head not only how the various protiens, hormones, vitamins, enzymes, etc affect our bodies but how they interact with each other on the most minute level. Dr. Sinclair was also very conscious and considerate of my finances when determining a course of action. She knew what things would cost (my other doc never did, hence the $369 blood test that merely told her I was dehydrated) and recommened the most cost-effective path to wellness. I am delighted that I now feel so very much better and was able to accomplish that through natural means. I'll be taking my two young children to see her from now on. read more

I was a patient of Dr Robin Sinclair until last Monday December 11, 2017 for about the last 18 months until I found it necessary to leave her less then professional practice. Things were great until they weren't. To her credit she helped me a great deal. However, when a significant error occurred she did not take ownership of it, minimized it, and actually had the audacity to partially blame me. As the drama unfolded so did her lack of professionalism. That's why I am complaining here today, not because of the original error. Background: I had appointments with Dr Sinclair every two weeks to receive a specially ordered compounded medication administered via "a push" in my vein. About 6 months ago I was scheduled 4 weeks out instead of 2 weeks out. We both discovered I suffered a significant set-back at about 3 weeks out. That being the case we both agreed I would be certain to schedule every 2 weeks and would see one of her colleagues if she was out of town. I said all that to say, Dr Sinclair knew how important it was for me to receive this medication in a timely manner. When I left my appointment on November 27th (2 weeks before December 11th) I knew it was time for them to order my compounded medication before my next appointment on December 11, 2017. I stopped at the front desk to pay for the medication in advance as I normally would. I was told they would set a reminder in their system and order it on December 6th. I was also asked to call to REMIND THEM to order it. That was the FIRST TIME I had been asked to do that and really thought it was optional. Much to my surprise, just moments before my December 11th appointment I received a phone call that said they had neglected to order my medication. I went into the office, admittedly upset. My upset quickly turned in to being infuriated with Dr. Sinclair as she went onto justify her error. She said things like "Mistakes happen" and "You were supposed to call and remind us." Had she taken ownership at that time I'd still be a patient there. I was shocked and appalled by her behavior as I'm sure she was taken aback by how angry I was as the conversation disintegrated quickly. I stormed out. Had Dr Sinclair said something similar to, "I'm sorry, we made an error and I want to make it right." then I would have been much more agreeable. I understand the conversation was heated and awkward, and I thought perhaps she would have re-grouped and then called me within the next hour or so. But she did not. Her unprofessional antics continued to unfold. Since she made no further effort to contact me to rectify the error. Consequently I sent an email to cancel all my appointments. I also send an additional email to say mostly what I've said here; I've left her practice because of her unwillingness to take ownership and "make it right", not because of the original error. Dr Sinclair sent me an email THE NEXT DAY telling me of her intentions to order the medication and call me when it came in 2 or 3 days later. REALLY? How is that logical?! How was I supposed to know that? Am I a mind reader? How was the medication to be administered? Was I supposed to take time off from my job? Were they going to come in after hours? I received a letter today December 14th from Dr Sinclair along with a refund check for the medication. Naturally, and as I expected, Dr Sinclair continued to blame me even more for her error. She claimed to have "fired" me from her practice due to my angry reaction to her error. That would have be sad, except I "fired" them first via email. She also wrote as if I it was a routine thing for me to call and remind them to order the medication and that I failed to do so. Own you mistakes Sinclair! Get your act together before you hurt one of your patients. read more

Dr. Lush is an incredible primary care doctor. Not only have I seen her and gotten fantastic care, but I send my 72 year old dad to her, and even he, a die-hard fan of "traditional medicine," is a huge fan. Dr. Lush is the daughter of a small town family doc and has travelled internationally to provide health care to rural areas, so she's seen it all. I feel very comfortable seeing her, and referring people, because I know that she can treat both chronic and acute stuff, and knows when to use the natural things and when to bring in the big guns. She has a great bedside manner and clearly cares a great deal about what she does. I've sent loads of people to her and can't recommend her highly enough! It's no wonder she's made the Top Docs list so often; Dr. Lush is the best! read more

I went to Dr. Lush because everything I ate bothered me. I spent 2 years and about $2,000 out of pocket (God only knows how much my insurance paid) while she tested me for all kinds of allergies and gave me "vaccines" that did nothing to alleviate my symptoms. The last time I was in there, I don't even recall what she did, but I do remember her saying "If this doesn't help, I have nothing more to offer you." It didn't help, so I never went back. It took me another few years of other ND's who also couldn't figure it out to finally be told by a GI who did an endoscopy that I HAVE ULCERS. I am now healing them myself, with advice I found on the internet. Much cheaper, and I don't have to make pointless and endless trips for office visits. read more

Dr Sinclair is awesome. She really listens then uses a logical plan for testing and treating rather than just prescribing a medication and hoping it works. She is very, very knowledgable. 5 stars really isn't even good enough. I see Dr. Robin Sinclair at NSNM and she is wonderful for so many reasons. She listens thoroughly and never lectures. I didn't have an annual exam for several years and expected her to be shocked and maybe scold me, but nope. She just told me to set up an appointment at my convenience and we took care of it. Easy. I have been exceptionally healthy for all of my life, but lately there have been a few bumps in the road and Dr. Sinclair has helped me resolve each issue when my other doctors have not been able to. Dr. S is good at taking the time to dissect the problem and figuring out a logical treatment, which for me has been nothing but successful. She is a joy to be around and makes each appointment really pleasant. I absolutely adore my Doc! read more

I will not be going back. When policy trumps kindness & consideration for the client, I am done. I have had difficulty with the unfriendly receptionist on several occasions, especially in dealing with some paperwork that needed to be sorted out a couple of months back. I considered not going back, but stayed on with the practice because of Dr. Lush's previously sweet & compassionate manner. I have been a client of Dr. Lush's for 2 years & have always been on time. I waited 40 min in the waiting room past my appointment time at my last appt in Feb, never saying a word, understanding that circumstances arise. I went in yesterday for an appointment. I rearranged my entire schedule for the day & arranged a babysitter for my youngest napping child (who I pay for ). I was late bc my older daughter had diarrhea. I needed a simple shot. I rushed to my appointment & arrived in the office exactly 12 min late according to my iPhone. Without any other words or even a greeting, I was told immediately, bluntly, coldly & rudely that I would be denied service for being late & I would have to reschedule. All for being 12 minutes late!! There was no suggestion to wait or come back later. (I would have done either). My attempts at communicating my feelings and circumstance were repeatedly disregarded. Nobody had ever explained any late policy to me EVER (and still haven 't!). In fact, the receptionist actually scoffed & rolled her eyes at me like I was an insolent teenager. As a mother who is trying to desperately make everything work & keep everyone healthy, this is not what you want to experience, especially when you are not feeling well to begin with. Dr. Lush, hearing my growing irritation, came out & angrily told me she would take me this time but then told me in her office that she would not take me as a client again because I was late. I was shocked. This felt punitive, threatening, and discriminatory. I think the receptionist & Dr. Lush are friends, with alliance trumping patient care. I walked out. I will find a new caregiver. I recommend finding a caregiver who has children & family orientation (and a friendly stafff). I recommend a practice that at cares to listen & work with its patients in finding solutions. Empathy and consideration go a long way. I give it 2 stars bc Dr. Lush is a knowledgeable doctor & has helped me in past. Update (6/13): I received a letter from Dr, Lush stating that her practice will no longer see me or my children because I was more than 15 minutes late, per their policy. Beware if you are planning to visit this practice! I had already found a new doctor but I am disappointed in this blatant manipulation of truth. There were witnesses in the waiting room who could verify that I was NOT more than 15 minutes late. I even showed Dr. Lush my phone in her office, which clearly showed I wasn't late. Forced to question the ethics of her and the receptionist. Glad to be done. read more

This is the first review I have ever felt inclined to write as I am a believer in giving folks the benefit of the doubt. But, this experience has been truly so condescending that I feel others should beware. While I had a very nice initial visit with Dr. Lush, incorrect assumptions and guidance regarding next steps on the part of her staff and my expressed confusion resulted in me being summarily dismissed as a patient from care by Dr. Lush without even the kindness of a phone call or an email from the doctor to discuss. Dr. Lush and her staff operations are disjunctive resulting in unclear communications and misunderstandings for which the patient will be blamed. Lack of proper followthrough and humility coupled with real condescension is remarkable. As a professional biologist with relatives in the medical and naturopathic fields, my experience here has been awful. I do not recommend this clinic. read more

What could have been a uneventful appointment turned out great, due to the fact that Dr. Lush is not only the consummate professional, but a terrific person. The only reason I haven't gone back is the drive to West Seattle (I live in the North End). I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lush's natural medicine practice. She is absolutely amazing. My boys and I were late to our appointment and she was very understanding and got me right in. She listens to what I have to say about me and my boys. I've seen Dr. Jennifer Lush regularly for allergy treatment with great results---no more black mold symptoms!!! Not only does she know her stuff, but she has the bedside manner of your best friend---compassionate, understanding and warm. I recently woke up with an odd pattern of "spots". Often times a primary doctor isn't the best place to go to identify skin conditions, but Dr. Lush knew instantly what it was and was able to treat me before I had a full-fledged bout of shingles! I will be forever grateful to her and will always trust her with my health.
