I sought out Tina Huang because I have dental PTSD and was facing another dental procedure. In my…read morefirst appointment, I was debating out loud about whether to pay for individual appointments, or to buy the package, because the difference in cost per appointment was a lot. Seeing me debating, she said if I didn't think it was helping we could just convert from package back to individual appointments. It sounded easy. What ensued was this. I had a good experience with my procedure, and told her so, and told her I'm not sure if the work she did helped but I was willing to entertain that it might have. I planned to continue working with her in the future in case it was part of what was helpful. (There were a lot of factors that could have played into it, including that my new dentist is a truly wonderful person and I felt incredibly safe, and also that for the first time I used Ibuprofen and tylenol the night before and again an hour before my procedure. From subsequent experiences, I have more and more reason to believe this has made a huge impact on my experience of pain during dental procedures.). I asked if we could convert the package back to individual appointments. I also mentioned I was planning on pursuing hyperthermia therapy for Lyme. Here is one excerpt from our email exchange: Tina wrote "I'm not willing to refund you based on email exchanges alone. I know that you had tremendous progress with me, and I have the ability to help you continue to heal. It's very common in my line of work for clients to want to quit once they are on the verge of true transformation. I know this is true for you...it would be unethical for me to let you give up this easily when I know that I can make a huge difference in your health." Here's another excerpt: Tina wrote "I was hoping I could have saved you a ton of money. But you didn't give me the chance to show you what was possible. I"m baffled as to why you didn't give me a chance and decided to fly all the way to Germany for an expensive procedure when you had a far more affordable option. I do have a history of being able to help people when nothing else will." I feel quite comfortable with "out there" therapies on my complex health journey. But any possibility that I would continue working with her in the future was more than tanked by this email exchange. She did not convert my package back to individual appointments; it was a loss to the tune of about $1200. Part of the problem was that her criteria for giving me my money back was if I didn't think it was helping. And the truth is, I don't know if it helped or not, and that's what I told her. I couldn't feel anything when she worked with me, I didn't have a felt sense of whether it was working or not. There was no plan on her part for this scenario, and I think she should have (still should) refund my money. If others get a lot out of seeing her, I'm glad for that. I hope for her healing and prosperity as much as my own. I'm writing this so that others may know that after my two appointments, the "container" changed dramatically. If you decide to work with her, I'd recommend paying as you go rather than buying the package.

Have to update my review because I think it's important for people who read my first, see I had…read moresuch immediate success, and may be disappointed if they don't have the same experiences. So, after my first visit I was shocked and pleased that my rash disappeared. But...It came back with a vengeance. I've learned through this process that these pesky buggers might lay down and be quiet for a minute but it takes a process to get rid of them. I've continued to be impressed by the team at HHA with how patient they are with me. I've now had Major Autohemotherapy as well as some IV cocktails to help combat the infection in my body and it's been an educational and eye opening process. I love that Dr. Wakely and his team focus on finding out what's going on with ME and don't just pick up a textbook and say well, it must be this and if what we doesn't respond then there must not be anything wrong with you. The journey to find out what's going on can be long, frustrating and discouraging so prepare to buckle up and let this team do what they do because they're good at it! I was also able to fly my dad, who is having some heart issues, in from out of state and Dr. Wakely has been able to shed some light on this situation and make some suggestions that, while they seem so obvious, have never been brought up by any team of medical professionals. It's ridiculous to me that no cardiologist would know of the link between heavy metal toxicity and hear disease! BUT...thankfully we are on the right track now with HHA!

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. DuBois after years of skin issues that I suspected were from a…read morefood intolerance. My primary care doctor, who is a wonderful person, but is always rushed, seems to sort of brush these issues off as just a part of life, which led to a search for more integrative whole person care. I live super close to this adorable little office, looked them up and realized that my insurance wouldn't cover them. I figured the potential payoff though was worth the out of pocket spend, so I booked anyway. Their office manager, Taylor immediately reached out to discuss insurance and let me know this care appeared to be out of network, which I had expected but fully appreciated. She also offered to give me a super bill following the appointment so I could both attempt to receive reimbursement and use the spend while filing taxes. The day of my appointment they reached out again with an estimated cost of services- which seemed to be because of the out of network care. Again, amazing transparency for a healthcare environment. My appointment felt very much like a meeting with an old friend. Dr. Dubois listened, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and when tests were needed, she covered the cost of these tests up front and asked about budgeting and timing for them if they were not currently a doable amount. I cannot imagine they could have been any more flexible and kind, and even knowing with 100% certainty my care was out of network and would be more expensive than seeing my PCP I would absolutely book this again. I'd give 6 stars if I could. If you're looking for a healthcare environment where you're respected, given plenty of time to ask questions, express concerns, and pick the brain of a professional, look no further.

I will always recommend out of hospital/midwife care, especially Sprout Birthing Center. Prenatal care: On point all around. All the traditional tests were offered to me to ensure there weren't any apparent complications that would make my pregnancy or birth high-risk. Birth: At the center. Arrived a little after 9pm to help move the pregnancy along (11 days overdue!). After hours birth meant my immediate family was able roam the center without interfering with day-to-day operations. My son was born at 11:01pm. Mayya and Brittni didn't rush me and didn't argue me when I said it was time to push. They let me control the birth. Their roles were simply to make sure we were healthy. After having a hospital birth with my second son, I can't rave enough about how much its truly means to drive your own birth. I was free to leave around 2 or 2:30am. 5 hours at the center and in home in bed to rest and heal! Can't complain about that! Postpartum Care: Thorough. Never once did I feel I wasn't being listened to. Billing: No issues as of yet ‍. I'll update if needed.

Instead of providing a prescription covered by my insurance, I was only given a list of medications to buy. Because I was very sick, I had to go to Walgreens and spend over $100 on medications that I could have received for free with a prescription. Later, I tested positive for COVID-19 and informed your team. The only response I received was "I'm sorry you have COVID, stay in quarantine for 5 days." At no point was I informed that COVID could lead to early labor. The day before delivery, when I entered active labor, I called again. My information was sent to Providence Everett, but I received no encouragement or support from any of the midwives. Ultimately, I had to undergo an emergency C-section because my baby's heart rate was unstable, and my newborn was transferred to Seattle Children's Hospital due to meconium aspiration. I did not hear from Sprouts until four days after my baby's birth, and the call was simply to say, "I'm sorry you went through that, let us know when you want to schedule your postpartum appointment." When I scheduled and came to my appointment, I felt dismissed and disrespected. At the front desk, I was asked "where's the baby" in an ironic tone, followed by "oh, I forgot, she's at the NICU." In my visit with Deborah, my concerns about missed communication and risks associated with my prolonged pregnancy were rejected instead of acknowledged with empathy. Despite my disappointment, I continued with follow-up appointments for postpartum care and birth control because I had no other provider at that time. However, I have consistently felt unsupported. Most recently, when I asked for an all-purpose nipple ointment (as recommended by the lactation team and nurses at Seattle Children's Hospital), I received a dismissive and questioning response instead of the prescription I needed. At this point, I believe the care I received from Sprouts Birth Center has fallen short of the support, compassion, and professionalism that should have been provided. For these reasons, I respectfully do not recommend this birth center at all.
