She answered all my questions and provided suggestions for supporting my son. We've gone to other pediatricians and she was the first pediatrician that had patience and empathy for my toddler son that gets scared of doctor's offices. She let him put the stethoscope on his chest, and she pointed to him where to put it. She had light up toys to distract him and let him play with. I've never had a doctor that prepared or patient. We will continue going to Flourish Family Medicine. There were a lot of forms to fill out before the appointment which took up a lot of time, but it did provide the doctor with a lot of information, so I appreciated it.

Luckily for me, Guardian Family Care doesn't actually take insurance, but instead has a very, very, affordable monthly plan which includes visits anytime I need them. There is no messy insurance paperwork/deductible/co-pay/etc, and if they have the medication or shot you need in house, they'll take care of you on the spot! * Vaccinations for my trip to India? Check! * Immediate treatment and medication for a terrible allergic reaction to a spider bite in my cheek? Check! * Getting me in for blood tests when I was passing out almost daily and teaching me about my blood sugar issues? Done! I had a major medical issue in April. Thankfully my issue can be handled by medications. After I left the hospital, I established my primary care with Dr. Leung and (of course) asked him to take over managing my five meds. Well, since then it has been an ongoing giant hassle to manage my meds. Just about every month, there's another problem getting my refills. The team fumbles that simple task over and over again. It doesn't feel like they're on my side to help me medically at all.

They offer all the basics of primary care, and stay open late and on weekends to handle walk-ins. They really commit themselves to making sure people get care. It's a small, older building that looks more like a 60s tract house than a medical facility, but don't judge it by the exterior. It's a purpose-built dentist/dr office with plenty of space inside. Comfortable waiting room, business-like and professional desk staff. The exam rooms aren't the newest you've ever seen, but they're very clean with good lighting and a comfortable setting. We've juggled a few chronic medical issues lately, and they've always been helpful and personable with advice, prescriptions, and encouragement. They can help you out if you're waiting for insurance coverage to start at a new job, and so on. They really want to make sure you get seen and get any help you might be needing. We're sorry to see Val go, but Andrea has been amazing for a long time and we're happy to keep seeing her. I live across the lake, and drove by this place dozens of times before I needed to switch doctors a couple years ago. Best choice I've made for health care in years.

He has cancer, had part of his esophagus removed in an emergency surgery, a hole in his intestine caused by the chemo, multiple issue caused by the cancer, surgery, and chemo. We couldn't find a doctor on this side of the mountains that would take his insurance that were accepting new patients, so his insurance case manager helped us find this clinic. He made an appointment with Andrea after I called to tell them all of his medical issues. Yes, it is a small clinic, it isn't new, but it is clean and the person at the front desk was pleasant. We were led to a room which was small and sparce but again, very clean. The nurse taking his vitals was very friendly and kind. When Andrea arrived in the room, she too was very friendly. After listening to him list out his medical needs and current issues she was very upfront and told him he was out of her league. She did accept him as a patient, and I have to say she has been very attentive to his needs and even helped with some issues that were bothering him but weren't viewed as priorities so weren't being addressed. While she isn't able to diagnose major issues, she is able to manage all the referrals to specialists that he needs to have done. Overall, he has been happy with the kindness and care he has received from Andrea and the staff at this clinic.
