In all the years that I have been a T1 Diabetic, Dr. George W Moore is/was the best endocrinologist…read moreI have ever seen. He was/is personable, very knowledgeable, and cared. He's retiring and I will miss him as my endo as I have been a patient of his for over 5+ years. When I first saw him my blood sugar levels were out of control but now they're not. Now his staff, 'used to be' excellent like him. There were on top of things and prescriptions were immediately sent, and were just wonderful. Unfortunately, the facility the worked for Western Washington Medical Group has gone downhill and his current staff, is the worst I have ever experienced. They do not call in prescriptions when needed, they do 'not' answer the phone or return calls even if urgent and they are 'extremely' rude. I did not give him a bad score, I gave him an excellent score because Dr. Moore deserves it. But his 'current' staff do not even deserve 1 star. I am going to continue to go some place else that's also excellent (Salute Nutrition) that will help me and I am grateful for that.

I said I was miserable and what do in the meantime and he says back" I really don't have an answer for you" in a very insensitive tone and I then said" I basically suffer then?" and his response was "yes" and he hung up. I had to ask him about 4 times to please mail the insurance claim to me before he finally did, and he messed up on my insurance form. If I hadn't caught it I wouldn't have been reimbursed properly. $350/hour, I was told when I scheduled the appt. there would be a diagnosis & medication prescribed. WRONG. He gave me the excuse at the end that since he hadn't gotten my records from my previous doctor, he didn't want to prescribe yet. My previous doctor tried 7 times to fax him, but his fax number is his main line so that was his fault for not having an adequate fax/phone system. Yet he tried to pass the blame onto my doctor! $350 yet another appointment, no clear diagnosis. Then $100 for a 15 minute session, still no concrete diagnosis one way or another. New medication he prescribed caused me terrible anxiety and panic attacks, and I called him 4 times in 2 weeks with ZERO RESPONSE!! I've given up and am moving on. What a total waste.

Dr. P is a great doc. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a funny personality. When I first saw…read morehim 3 years ago I had a weird medical situation and he was able to diagnose me the very first visit (the other doc had no idea what was wrong) and did an ultrasound the next week to confirm. I have seen Dr. P ever since I was diagnosed with RA and don't want to see anyone else. He also sees my husband and we can even make an appointment and see him at the same time, which is awesome. The staff at the clinic are friendly and the infusion team is nice, too. Dr. P is one of those cool docs you wish you had known a long time ago bc he's so smart and knows what he's doing. He's not afraid to prescribe you what you need, and isn't judging if you say no. Plus, he knows how to work around the system, so if you need help with insurance or FMLA/disability, he will help you out. He knows a joke or two, also, which can go a long way when you're tired, cranky and in pain. I wish more doctors practiced medicine like him!

Dr. Grote is a true gem! My whole family saw him when we lived in Seattle, and now that we live in…read moreVancouver, we're seriously missing him. He's warm, patient, thorough, and always made us feel like he had plenty of time to discuss our various issues. He treated us respectfully, even when our views didn't completely align, and I never felt like he would push a course of treatment on us that we didn't want. The specialists he referred us to were great as well, from chiropractor to oncologist. Dr. Grote takes a holistic approach toward health and doesn't seem over-eager to prescribe medications, as some doctors do. For example, when my daughter had a mild ear infection that wasn't bothering her, he recommended that we wait and see and didn't suggest antibiotics right off. The ear infection was soon gone without having caused my daughter any distress. He is also familiar with herbs and prescribed some to us that were quite helpful. And to top it off, my preschooler was comfortable with him, which at the time, was really saying something! Now if only I could find a doctor like him in Vancouver . . .

Dr. Grote is a really sweet, caring man, and he did some good things for my husband and I for which…read moreI commend him, but he also failed us in some ways we found unacceptable. We saw him for two years for a number of issues, and finally we both had complaints serious enough that we left. Among them a painful misdiagnosis (and an easy one -- another doctor diagnosed it correctly from a verbal description); an Rx for an expensive drug when a cheap generic was available; and when I complained that the office staff wasn't treating me well, he scolded me rather than ask what they could do better, at a time when he knew I was in deep grief from the loss of a loved one. The true test of a doctor and his office staff is not how he treats you when everything is good, when you are feeling great, and when you can easily stand to be put on hold for five or more minutes at a time, but when things are hard, when you're in pain, and when you're suffering a loss. Dr. Grote, if you read this, know that I liked you personally, and it wasn't just the one thing, but a collection of problems, including the misdiagnosis which caused one of us months of pain. I wish you the best and I hope you seriously consider your staff issues. And, of course, if you had wanted to know the details of why we left, you could have asked. You didn't. Good luck.

I went back for a second time in February to discuss the results only this time I didn't even recognize the man. He was just plan rude. "Can you eat? Oh sure you can eat. Call me when you lose 40 pounds". " You have my business card right?" I must have been asked that question half a dozen times. Yes, I have your business card and I know exactly what to do with it. Talk about Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Weight was not even mentioned in the first apt and nothing was going to change for the second apt. He Knew I was fat and was not going to do the surgery, yet he went ahead and wasted my time, my money and insulted me. I have always found the staff to be professional and more than nice enough. Dr's Lush and Sinclair are excellent diagnosticians and in many instances, have out diagnosed my allopathic Doctors. You see, I have several very complex conditions that overlap. I am a Cancer survivor with an auto immune disorder and chronic pain. This is where I get irritated. I have read a couple of Yelps on here that seem very damaging and unreasonable. Let me tell you how it works in the real world. If I am late for an appointment at a clinic like UW physicians or Polyclinic or Swedish I will be extremely lucky to get in. If I want to go over my results I have to go in and sit with a Doctor. I don't understand why people think it should be different with a Naturopathic Clinic. I am so Tired of Mommy's playing the mommy card! My mother had seven children by the time she was thirty. We were never late for anything ever. It is called mutual respect. I don't want a few angry self entitled mommies to ruin it for me. It is far too difficult to find competent medical care in this city. Most clinics charge for one hour and see you for maybe 12 minutes after a medical assistant starts your chart and takes your vitals. They are required to only discuss one issue or it is another insurance or self pay code. I have been treated so well by the wonderful doctors at this clinic that I actually recommend them to everyone I know. They aren't so hippy-dippy that if I have a sinus infection I can't get western style antibiotics. Nope they handle each condition with the least harmful but most effective medicine. not a bunch of a Garlic and herbs and a netti-pot. I have been down that road. I get the best of both worlds and believe me I have fired a lot of Doctors in my life for just not being good enough. So to the two negative Nelly, Self indulgent Mommies. Good luck out there. I expect the welcome you get elsewhere to be far worse. These are excellent, very busy Doctors. They have to pay their bills too. 50.00 to get to see a doctor and discuss test results is super cheap. I just paid 157.00 for a 10 minute med refill visit across the street at the UW Shoreline clinic. I didn't get pissy because I have been taking the same meds for ten years. I just paid as I do every two months. Oh and the massage therapist Katie is amazing. Wake up mommies. You chose to have a child, suck it up and follow the rules like the rest of us. You don't get special treatment because you were able to get knocked up.
