Refused to tell me whether my visit would be covered by my insurance. Refused to reschedule for when my Medicare insurance was active.

Never make an appointment with this Dr. I went to see him because I had recently moved to the area…read moreand was looking for a primary care physician. He had the soonest opening. Until this appointment, I have NEVER filed any kind of a formal complaint against a medical professional (and there have been a couple times that I thought about it). After my appointment with Dr. Scarr, I went straight home and made a complaint through The Everett Clinic's customer service website. More concerning to me than his general lack of respect and professionalism were the following: 1. He did no more than make a cursory glance at the medical history I had just provided to the assistant before jumping to several (incorrect) conclusions about why I was there and how he wanted to treat me. 2. He made multiple out of date, incorrect, and potentially dangerous statements about the treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (a specific autoimmune thyroid disease). And made some rude remarks about my concerns being cosmetic in nature rather than truly medical. 3. He doesn't understand depression and the need for pharmaceutical treatment. Period. And he is insensitive when discussing it. I left in tears and absolutely furious. Most telling to me was that when I scheduled a follow-up appointment with a different doctor the receptionist didn't bat an eye and signed me right up with a primary care physician that hadn't been accepting new patients when I called three days before.

this doctor is insensitive. He may have helped damage my hearing permantly . I saw a walk in doctor…read moreabout my hearing and there was no communicaiton betiween Dr Scarr and the walk in doctor. .After that Dr Scarr put me on sudafed for my ear. He said he knows nothing about the ear but he tried to treat it anyway. He wasted lots of precious time. THere is only so much time to treat a hearing loss before it gets worse.. HE didn't put me on prednisone which should have been the first course of action, He didn't take anything about me seriously. I don['t think he likes disabled clients. I may have had more hearing if he would have referred me to a specialist. He had no business treaing a hearing loss when he said he know nothing aboutt it. He always ran into the room and ran right back out after just a few miinues.

HORRIBLE. Hard to know where to start... the mold smelling entry way, non-functioning equipment…read more(attending nurse said that she knew that this equiptment was only able to get through 1/2 the test, but they weren't willing to fix it), multiple visits when what I wanted as the single free annual checkup provided under Obamacare, multiple co-pays (when at the minimum the annual checkup shouldn't have had any co-pays). Where I made a mistake was to trust the doctor's suggestions (not realizing that his goal was not aligned with mine and everything had a price tag). Even though it seemed a little odd, I was a willing and open patient. IMHO this doctor provided NO valuable advice around what would be appropriate tests... he was only interested in racking up as many tests as possible (whether to cover his butt, or to line his pocket I can't say). AND this doctor was a referral from Swedish in Edmonds.! Our healthcare system is broken!

I visited Carbon Health Urgent Care's Mill Creek location today. The medical care provided was…read morestellar and impressive. The facility is immaculate, the assistant was welcoming, attentive, courteous and provided prompt assistance. The attending physician was excellent. He was thorough & caring. In addition to resolving the immediate concern that prompted my visit with a fast and accurate diagnosis and prescription for treatment, he explained what to expect and how long it will take for the medication to take full effect. Additionally, he discussed with me another health condition that became evident during his examination & labs that needs follow-up. I highly recommend Carbon Health, Mill Creek; my definite "go to" preference for urgent care that is convenient, trustworthy and effective.

I wish I could give them negative stars. I was so happy to have a new urgent care close to home…read more The front desk wasn't sure about my insurance, so I instructed them there is a provider verification number on the back of the card, that will verify that it is open network insurance. Red flag number one, the person at the front desk insisted she make the call from the back (not in front of me). She went to the back and said that she made the call. She was back there for maybe 3 minutes, which seemed to be pretty quick to get even through the call tree. She then came out from the back and said that my insurance wouldn't pay and they weren't contracted. She said I would have to pay the cash price. This didn't make any sense, as I work in benefits and know that my insurance can be taken here, as it is an open network insurance AND I have been to Carbon Health before. Imagine my surprise when I called the same number from my car 5 minutes later, they say that my insurance will cover this visit, and they would never say that to a provider's office calling. It appears as though the front desk person just didn't want to try and deal with it, while I had a urgent health matter, and I had to seek care elsewhere.
