On our way to Cambria my family and I stopped by to have a light lunch. What a beautiful place. The view is incredible overlooking the ocean. Seating outside on the patio was perfect on this sunny day in Pismo Beach. We walked in and were greeted with a smile. The hostess seated us within ten minutes. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered an iced cold spritz which was so delicious. I enjoyed every sip. We ordered three starters to share with our drinks. Wings, ahi tuna and guacamole. Very average food. Nothing crazy delicious and not bad either. The ambiance was great so we enjoyed our starters and drinks ... overall beautiful oceanfront restaurant right next to the hotel.

Our lunch experience at Marísol was fantastic. If you're unsure what to order, a phenomenal server like Andrew S is always valuable. I was very impressed with the Shell Beach Spritz cocktail that Andrew S recommended. It was not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious. We tried the Cliff's prime burger, the garden omelet, the lamb, the bagel & smoked salmon, and the French toast with three drinks. Each dish was wonderful. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the lamb lollipops and the brûléed banana French toast the most. The bacon accompaniment with the French toast is probably the best in the world. It was crisp and the high-quality meat was perfectly cooked. My husband praised it highly. All in all, this restaurant offers a stunning ocean view and excellent food. The friendly and attentive service team made our dining experience memorable. My mother-in-law was very satisfied with her complimentary surprise birthday cake with a candle.

Filet mignon burrito, very refried bean heavy. Under seasoned

Not great at all. The 2 stars are for the view, beautiful view of the ocean outside. However it can definitely get cold. Food is below average. The filet mignon breakfast burrito, all you taste is refried beans. Very bland, needed way more seasoning. The special halibut fish and chips came with a super weird horse-radish flavored salsa, I was not expecting that. Also came with a pico de gallo. Hard to try and scoop salsas with fish and chips. They also originally brought out fish tacos when she ordered fish and chips so the fiancé had to wait for her food to be fixed. The drinks were forgot about, I asked for them after the food finally came out. The Bloody Mary was a 4/10, not good. Our server came once every 20 minutes, if that. I kept bothering Lance from another table, he really helped us out. Only good thing was the bacon. Would not return.

On a recent staycation, we went in search of dig friendly breakfast places. Not only does Marisol have a dog friendly patio, they have a menu of items for your furry friends. Our pups thoroughly enjoyed sharing a beef & rice dish. I am a lover of sweet breakfast options and they have a French toast dish reminiscent of bananas Foster, with bruleed bananas. The dish came with sausage--it was all delicious!! My husband loved his traditional egg and bacon breakfast, and commented on really liking getting a side dish of condiments (jam, butter, catsup, etc). Staff were very friendly and treated us (and our dogs) very well. The views of the ocean from our patio seating could not be beat. We will definitely be back!!

Came here for the Valentine's dinner special. It was $125 per person for a five course meal (but it really felt like it was 3.5 course meal). For the first course, I got the oysters (disappointed that it was only 3 pieces and they were really small). Next was a small bite to enhance the taste of the entrée meal which was a filet mignon. The filet mignon was really good, I've got to give them that. Then we were given sorbet which was delicious but again small portion. The last course was a dessert buffet, that was great. Enjoyed most of the desserts! We also ordered drinks. Another thing was that, our waiter offered us coffees without mentioning that it was extra cost and we thought it was complimentary given the way he was offering it. Nonetheless, it was a good experience, but wouldn't go back.

Ian took care of my mom so well he made her birthday so special. Thanks Ian!

We were staying in the hotel and dined here and the combined experience reminded me of the ritz carlton at halfmoon bay. The service was top notch! Our server Ian made us feel so welcome and he took care of my mom like the queen that she is! The food was great! The calamari was light but crispy my mom got to the fish tacos and they were delicious! Will definitely come back in the summer both in the hotel and the restaurant!

I was here on a work trip, and we stayed here. The restaurant is situated on the cliffs and is part of the Cliff's hotel. So the views here are absolutely breathtaking. We ordered carnitas tacos and steak chilaquiles and both dishes were absolutely delicious and bursting with flavors. The steak was cooked to perfection and the carnitas were moist and tender! Highly recommend these dishes! Our waiter was amazing, he was helpful, tentative, and efficient. He suggested the steak versus the shrimp that comes with the chilaquiles. He also brought us a side of jalapeños, salsa, and hot sauce without us requesting for it which was pretty impressive because that was very thoughtful. He also brought out two complimentary shortbread cookies!! That definitely made our experience even better! Highly recommend Marisol if you are ever in Pismo Beach!

As a Spa member, I dine here often. Most of my experiences have been great. Food is always exceptional. My burger always comes med rare and fries crispy. I love their calamari and seafood dishes. I try to avoid dinner times because they do get busy and service is much slower. The blonde bartender is amazing and makes my drinks just the way I like it. My only complaint is that the menu changes and I miss when they had brunch and pizzas. Overall, a great place to dine with a beautiful view.

For Mother's Day Brunch, they gave all the moms a rose! My husband made a reservation here to celebrate and we had a great view of the ocean at the patio. I ordered their special on the menu that had lobster on it! Service was friendly. I had a very great brunch and can't wait to come back! Don't forget to walk down to the tide pools that is next to the resort.

This place was awesome with the breathtaking view of the bluff and beach. We had the prime burger and the Thai chicken lettuce wrap. They had a great selection of wines too. Would like to acknowledge Lance's service who waited on us. This is a go to place for great food, service and ambiance on Pismo beach.

Such a beautiful view and delicious food. Recieved a complimentary birthday dessert that was delicious. Awesome service.

    Complimentary Birthday Dessert (Strawberry Shortcake)

I came to Marisol to celebrate my birthday a little early, and it couldn't have been a more perfect spot! The weather was beautiful--sunny skies and a light breeze with the most stunning ocean view. The setting alone made it feel special. I ordered the brûléed banana French toast, and it was incredible--stuffed with cinnamon cream cheese and topped with caramelized bananas and pecans. Every bite was rich, sweet, and satisfying. And the bacon? Easily the best I've ever had. Super crispy, full of flavor, and cooked just right. Because I had noted it was my birthday in the reservation, they surprised me with a complimentary strawberry shortcake for dessert--such a sweet touch and a delicious one too! The staff was warm and welcoming, and the overall vibe was relaxed and inviting. If you're looking for a brunch spot with great food, amazing service, and unforgettable views, Marisol is it.

Had a wonderful time here! The food was outstanding! Ian was so attentive and British! A couple was getting married so they brought around shots for everyone!! Sitting on the patio and watching the sunset was blissful! Perfect evening!!

They are a pet enthusiasts that always spoil our dogs and they have a selection of 4 different dog dishes to pick from. Our two 15 pound dogs split a single salmon dish and there was enough food for both of them. We found the sea bass and the clam chowder to be two of our favorite dishes. The sea bass comes with a mix of mushrooms and white beans along with a red wine sauce. The combination of textures between the flaky fish, soft beans, and chewy mushrooms makes for a great mouthful and the acidic and flavorful sauce brings all the ingredients together. The clam chowder was an interesting twist on the classic with the dill adding a nice extra flavor to the chowder and the herb oil applied to the top added a nice light note to The brunch special with champagne seems like a great way to spend a morning. Most of the tables around us got the set meal and we saw a constant supply of new bottles of champagne and assorted fruit juices going to the other tables. If you are staying at the dolphin bay, the room service is top notch getting the same dishes and presentation that you would get in the restaurant. It was an easy call down to Lido and the food arrived nice and hot to our room.

They suggested Lido, so we decided to arrive early and have a cocktail and appetizer during their happy hour before settling in for dinner. The visit started off strong with the lobby staff engaging in a little fun banter as well as the hostess who seated us was engaging and friendly. Unfortunately anything positive stopped there because our server was anything but pleasant and welcoming. We opted to sit outside on the patio as the weather was mild and the view stunning. We did request an umbrella as the sun was strong and another employee brought one over. The server seemed to lack any personality, no smile, no response to playful joking or interactions. I asked a question about the menu because the happy hour menu I had and had selected a drink off, differed from the other three that my husband and our friends had. The waiter flatly stated that my menu was wrong and the drink I wanted to order was not available and suggested a different drink that was nothing like the one I wanted to order. There was no apology and he didn't even take the incorrect menu, it was as if he didn't care. We placed an order for two appetizers and four drinks, three of which were the same cocktail off the happy hour menu. At the same time, we inquired about a more extensive dinner menu and the waiter stated they didn't serv dinner until 5pm but it was already 4:45pm and so we requested dinner menus. The waiter asked us how many menus we wanted, which seemed strange as none of us have ever eaten at a restaurant where each individual person wasn't provided their own menu and so we had to state we wanted four menus. When the four menus arrived, one for each person, one of the three was incorrect just like the happy hour one, showing cocktails that were no longer available. The drinks and appetizers eventually came, they took at least 15 minutes with the food arriving before any of the drinks. While the food was okay, the three cocktails were pretty awful, mine being the worst of the three. They were all the same drink made with grapefruit but my personal drink was far more bitter than the other two, it wasn't palatable at all. The other two who ordered the same drink, my husband and friend drank the drinks since we were paying for them. At this point, the experience was so bad between the waiter who seemed to have no desire to serve people and the terrible cocktails that we decided we should cut our loses and leave to eat dinner elsewhere. We left one full cocktail, and two partial cocktails on the table. The bill was paid and as my husband and I brought up the rear of our group. As we were leaving the waiter remarked that he, "hoped we have a better day." This was rude, unprofessional and confirmed leaving Lido was the right choice. This was a terrible experience both with the waiter and cocktails. A place could have the most amazing food but if the customer service is lacking, the quality of food is irrelevant. I would rather have mediocre food and friendly, welcoming and engaging customer service.

This outlet of the small chain is on Los Osos Valley Road near the corner of Madonna Road in a shopping center. - Menu: It's not just drinks. They've got a sizable menu of sandwiches...lots of pastries and the usual drinks. - Ambiance: Casual. Many tables inside and 2 patios...one in front and a smaller one in back. You'll find students on computers and friends sharing a table. Music plays in the background. - Food: Excellent. My wife and I stop by once a month before visiting a local doctor and split a sandwich for lunch since they're large enough to easily divide. My favorite is the Tuna Melt ($18). Each comes with a nice salad. For people familiar with restaurants in the San Jose area during the 1970s, 80s and 90s...the sandwiches will remind you of the Good Earth. - Drinks: From excellent to okay. Besides visiting with my wife, I also drop by before or after other doctor appointments. That's what happens as you get older! So I'm a semi regular. I usually get the same thing - A medium hot chai with no whipped cream...extra hot and extra foam. On February 25th, I had one of the very best drinks in my life. A few days later on March 2nd, it went the other way. My hopes were initially raised when a talented young woman (who might be a manager) took my order. Unfortunately, someone else made my drink. The first version had no foam...so she emptied some liquid and added foam. I got to my car, started drinking and realized it was lukewarm - not extra hot - but I was tired, probably lazy and just finished it. It wasn't even busy in the shop. - Service: Always friendly. - Price and Value: Lots of good food and drinks for a fair price. - Parking: No problem. There's a lot in the front and a big one in back. - Bathrooms: Not bad. There are 2 behind the shop - both are usually quite clean and come with a code you get from the employees. Cons: - Consistency of the drinks: This is a problem at almost every place I've tried.....except The Tribe in Arroyo Grande. Most of the drinks here are very good, but people should not be on the front line unless they know what to do. Overall, the Nautical Bean on Los Osos Valley Road makes great sandwiches, has a fine selection of pastries and does a good job with their drinks.
