I have always loved my food that I have gotten at the seafood shack…read more Tonight I ordered by the drive-in, the tacos Vallarta with the fish. I got home and there was no cabbage slaw nor the white sauce only the orange sauce in my taco order.... the cabbage slaw is what sets these fish tacos off that are delicious. I've taken many people to this location & taking several of my Spanish friends from Mexico who loves this dish. I am very disappointed tonight because this does not taste as the usual order of taco Vallarta that I have gotten for several years now with your Mesquite location. I just called the store and got two people who could not speak any English and understand what I was trying to tell about my order. when I asked for the young girl who was at the drive-in window who spoke English she was not available. I talked to another young lady who did not really understand what I was talking about, but then she took my name and said the next time I come up there, they would give me an extra slaw. Duh, really!!! There should be someone at this restaurant that can speak English when there is something wrong with an order. The young lady asked me did I want to drive back up there; I told her NO - I live 15 minutes away. My meal that I was really excited for become very disappointing tonight. I know it's a Friday night, but that doesn't matter where the quality wasn't right, not what I'm used to.

Great service and great food. It's a Dallas staple. The staff has always been welcoming and excited to have my business. The restaurant exudes a small, casual, warm inviting atmosphere. Once you go black you will never go back to anything else. Because I had one taste of that black box at the time and it was over. I didn't think about eating anything else. The fish, wings, shrimp, crab legs everything is on point. Regardless of what you get the food is always hot, flavorful and every bite is delicious. The owner is very personable. The only problem that you will have is deciding what to get. My solution: get one of each. But definitely give Aunt Irene's a try.

I saw people getting up and leaving because of how long they had to wait for someone to even get to the table for their drinks! Paloma had fresh grapefruit and martini was shaken to the point of chipped ice and just the right amount of flavor profile. Started with the crab & artichoke dip with fresh chips. Honestly, everything was nasty, but I was still willing to eat the crawfish. Those garlic noodles though? THE WORST noodles I've ever had. Completely overcooked with absolutely no flavor at all. The manager came over and asked what was wrong, so I explained it. She then tells me, "Our garlic noodles are not like others, it's just plain butter and garlic." So I responded, "Well that would be the problem." What really got me was she still made me pay for them even though I didn't even take a full bite. Two days in a row being disappointed by the same establishment is crazy work.
