We sat by the open window facing the street, and it was nice just enjoying the beautiful weather and watching people walk by. That's one of the things I love about the San Diego area--it just has a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. The food was really good. The pork BBQ was my favorite, my little one couldn't get enough of the adobo, and the halo-halo was amazing. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second one! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It was just an enjoyable meal all around. I ordered the beef salpicao which I had never tried before and it was amazing. The beef was tender and juicy with rich flavor. The flavor was delicious and it wasn't too salty. It was one of those flavors that I think everyone would enjoy if they tried it. My friend had the lechon sisig which I tried and thought was also good. I also tried the lychee beer which was super delicious and did not taste beer-like or alcoholic at all. It was more like a sweet treat to enjoy. This restaurant is tucked away. I remember walking in a little later on a weekday with a friend and the restaurant was completely empty except 3 other people. I hope they get more business (if they haven't already) because their food is great and it was easy to find parking I am looking forward to coming here again and trying new dishes. I'm especially looking forward to getting a dessert next time.

Service was pretty quick, which I appreciated. They also offer gluten-free cookies and other baked goods, which is a nice bonus. That said, the gluten-free cookie on its own was pretty bland--but I could see it being much better paired with ice cream. One thing to note: they don't really offer a kids size, and when I asked for smaller portions, they said it would still be charged as a regular--so parents of little ones, just a heads up! The ambiance wasn't super inviting--more of a "grab your treat and go" vibe--but with its prime location near the beach, it's easy to see why it stays busy. Overall, still worth checking out!

We ordered two flavors, which was four scoops, hoping we could split the ice cream into two cups so we would each have two scoops. We asked our server if they could split the ice cream for us--just put two Ube Matcha scoops in one cup, two Cookies and Cream scoops in another. This is against company policy, but they were willing to give us a second cup so we can surgically operate on the mixed ice cream and split it ourselves (??). The Matcha Ube was more green tea flavored than matcha or ube. The Cookies and Cream was good. The ice cream--even if three scoops for one flavor--is just not worth the street parking or flavor mashing. There are other better ice cream places. Service: 3/5 Nothing to say or add. No bad news is good news. Atmosphere: 2/5 Holy overstimulation. There were two other families in the ice cream parlor with us, and we were all being serviced at once at the cashier.
