Friday lunch date with the hubby and decided to head over to westgate and found Mariscos El Flay that served Mexican good and they were not busy. We sat on the patio since we had our fur baby with us and the staff was very friendly and offered suggestions for our food. We order the fried fish which was a 10/10; the seafood soup and it was a huge bowl but very delish. Overall the food was good but a little pricey IMO.

Flavorless Guacamole and hard stale chips

I ordered chips and guacamole and a lemonade. The menu shows lemonade is $3.99 and yet I was charged $4.50. Why? No answer. I'm guessing a scam. The guacamole was made with no salt added so it was terrible. However, it was not as bad as the hard stale tortilla chips, also apparently sans salt, that it came with. If this is their best effort I am going to abstain from other items and I won't be returning.

We were craving mariscos on a Sunday afternoon and came here. We ordered one plate of ceviche curtido and another plate of ceviche cocido with crackers and tostadas on the side. Good service and food was great. Environment was great as well. Definitely coming back!

We were pleasantly surprised... the food was so good and the service was outstanding. All employees seemed so happy to be there and expressed that feeling to us. Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. Ours seemed to be a little stressed today, and did not refill our drinks as much as we would've preferred, and forgot things like our salt and pepper. We will probably still keep coming just for that sauce, but looks like the restaurant has a few things to work out to bring back its former glory.

The waitress was attentive the whole time, bathrooms were clean, and I really appreciated how mindful the staff was with my deaf friend. That always stands out to me. The calamari was okay. I liked it, but my friend said she's definitely had better. I also had to ask for lemon with the calamari. Last time I came with a friend they were completely out of lemons, so I was glad that wasn't an issue this time. I'd probably try something different instead of the calamari next visit though. We got the Pier 88 combo crab boil with the "All of the Above" seasoning in mild. It came out super quick and was very well seasoned. I personally thought it leaned a little salty, but I also saw other tables adding extra salt to their food, so I guess it just depends on your taste. Portions were good and everything tasted delicious. Very kid-friendly spot, pretty loud and lively inside, and honestly a great place for hosting bigger groups, family get-togethers, or even just catching up with a friend over drinks and seafood. I've been here before and would definitely come back again.

The ambiance was incredibly inviting, featuring a large, open dining room and a beautiful full bar that immediately set the perfect tone for the evening. It is absolutely the kind of place I would love to revisit. The Service: Our server, Jackie, was phenomenal! Even though her section was packed and very busy, she was highly attentive to our needs and checked on us regularly. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond by suggesting interchangeable options to perfectly match our specific preferences. Outstanding service like hers really elevates the whole meal. The Food: Almost everything we ordered was excellent! With the minor exception of the gumbo, which just didn't quite hit the mark for our personal taste. Other than that, every single dish was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back!

She was very informative about the menu and gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. You can really tell the staff cares about the experience. While we were there, I overheard several regulars talking about how addicted they are to the food and service, and after eating here I completely understand why. We started with the calamari and sweet potato fries, which were both perfectly cooked and a great way to kick things off. Then came the garlic noodles... and wow. They were fantastic. You can taste that they use fresh garlic, and it makes all the difference. For the seafood, we ordered shrimp and snow crab. Everything was fresh, juicy, and flavorful without being overly salty like many seafood boils can be. Every bite was satisfying. Great food, great service, and great value. This place definitely earned its reputation, and we will absolutely be back. Highly recommend if you love a good seafood boil.

Their clam chowder is the absolute best in the state and since we went to Seattle, acriss state lines too in our opinion. Mom's too. When she was in the hospital after a stroke and refused to eat anything they helped us out with thinning the chowder down a little for her because we were worried it would be too thick. And this was the only thing she regularly ate besides frostys so we were so appreciative of the staff for helping us with that. It's a great memory we reminisce on, now that she has past.
