First time spur of the moment decision. On our way home from the Citadel Outlets. Craving seafood and found this place on Yelp. Had great reviews. Very busy and people waiting to be seated. Sat in the bar area and served immediately. Our server was amazing. Great service and conversation. Very welcoming and informative. Made some great recommendations. They welcome you with tostadas and salsa. I knew it was going to be a great night. Tostadas were so crunchy and salsa was delicious. Ambiance is fun and festive. Music was good. The manager came to our table to thank us for coming and gave us a card for a free appetizer on our next visit. OMG!!! What a great manager! That's the way to get customers to return and feel so special. The best people work here. Food and service AMAZING!!!

This location does not have parking so look for parking on the street or what other customers did such as myself was parking in the parking lot right next to it at the plaza where Del taco is. When we arrived, the host told us it was gonna be a 30 minute wait at around 7:30 PM on Friday night so she gave us the option to sit at the bar so we did. Right off the bat they serve you chips and salsa, but the chips are tostadas and the salsa was pretty spicy. For an appetizer, we got an order of guacamole which came out to $16.99, which is extremely ridiculous for the price didn't know till afterwards since it didn't have a price on the menu. For the entrée we ordered the Molcajete which also didn't come with a price on the menu, which came out to about to $55 which came with a nice big bone marrow, Asada cooked rare even though we asked for medium, pieces of chicken, three pieces of shrimp wrapped in bacon, nopales, block of cheese, green onions, half an avocado. It also included a side of rice and beans in one order of tortillas we wanted another order of tortillas which came out to an additional $2.99 Overall, the food was flavorful, but the prices were some of these things are ridiculous specifically for the guacamole and the up charge for extra tortillas. The ambiance is nice and modern. They have mostly outdoor seating which looked pretty cozy. Our server was great too and the other staff that attended to us were great as well. If you wanna come somewhere with cool vibes this is the place for you but honestly, I've been to better hole in the walls that offer the same items for fair prices. I would come back to try their other seafood options

Nice restaurant, Friendly Staff, Delicious food!!! The place has a cool vibe, with beach resort style furniture. Came for lunch with a coworker, and we both enjoyed our selections. We had the Tostada Rebelde and the Shrimp tacos. The Nemo drink is a little pricey for what you get but still taste good. Our server Alondra was kind and attentive and the manager Sid was friendly as well and checked on us. Will definitely be back to try out more of the options on the menu.

In the mood for light seafood dinner, thankfully, we got here just in time before it got crazy busy. Seafood tostadas and strawberry margarita were perfect and hit the spot! This is one of our favorite seafood restaurants, which we will always come back to, because the customer service and food are consistent and on point, every time we come!

Mariscos Choix was a good experience overall. The food was flavorful, and just about everything we tried hit the spot. We started with the Aguachile, which had a great balance of lemon and spice, very refreshing and well seasoned. I also ordered the Tacos Sinaloenses, which were simple but good. My favorite taco was the Taco de Mar y Tierra, which really stood out in flavor. The restaurant is pretty big with music playing, giving it a lively vibe. The host and waitstaff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking can be a bit tough, if you can't find street parking nearby, you'll need to park across the street in the shopping center near Del Taco. Overall, a solid spot and a fun atmosphere.

A great birthday celebration I had the fried fish I loved it. My friend had the great idea of asking for gloves! That really made my meal so pleasant nothing worse than fingering a fish. I'll be doing that every time we eat fish now my friends loved the octopus tacos. The fajitas were delicious. There was like eight of us and we were able to all share one order of the churros we had a great time. The service was amazing. Five stars #ValleyDowneyCrewGoVentures.

Finally made it out to this place for a late lunch. Wanting a cold and refreshing meal, mostly ceviche and agua chile type food. No wait for an inside table , multiple outdoor tables but it was still really hot despite fans and open air space. Quick service by waitress, she made sure to ask if it was our first time too; manager came to check on our experience at the end of the meal and made sure to invite us back with a coupon for a complementary agua chile next time. Tried a variety of food: Taco de Marlin and taco mar y tierra (grilled beef and shrimps) - both delicious Agua chile negro is a huge serving of raw peeled and split shrimp over slice cucumbers in a dark marinade that seems soy sauce or Worcestershire based. Very delicious and fresh. I got a camaron ceviche tostada: mixed raw shrimp and cooked shrimp plus lots of onions, crunchy cucumbers in a citrus mix. Complementary whole crisp corn tortillas and salsa, They have a huge size for lemonades and other agua frescas. Live music on evenings.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night and lucked out with live music. We were a group of five and expected a long wait, but were seated in about 30 minutes. There's a bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait, which helps. We started with the chicharrones de pescado, crispy and a 10/10 with the dipping sauce. The shrimp empanadas were okay. I ordered the tacos de pulpo zarandeados and loved them, the avocado really brought everything together. My cousin had the camarones al mojo de ajo with rice and beans and said they had a nice spicy kick. Modern space, fun crowd, and people singing along to the live music, it was definitely a vibe. The seating area by the live music is very tight but the atmosphere made up for it. Overall the service was great.

Came in for a late dinner with my friend Ana. She ordered the fajitas mixtas and I ordered the 7 mares. We shared an order of the queso empanadas. The 7 mares was just OK. I don't know what kind of fish they use but it was probably marlin. Not the 7 mares I am used to. Seemed kind of skimpy. The fajitas were asked for medium well and got them medium rare. Empanadas were ok this time around. Nothing special. It was busy for a Friday night. That was expected. The live music was going at what seemed like a privada out back. The service was ok this time. Tried this place out on a Sunday night after seeing all of the reviews on yelp. The ambience was very loud as they had live Banda music, so I couldn't hear conversation with my friend. Our servers name was Andre, he was very friendly and chatty and checked on us a few times and always made sure our water cup was full. We got a Paloma and a lime margarita, the Paloma came out warm after waiting 20 minutes for it. The lime margarita was fake tasting. So I definitely don't recommend the alcoholic beverages here. We ordered two shrimp and steak tacos, and the all seafood tostada. Food was very good. The bill was $83 for two drinks and two entrées. Definitely plan to spend money if you come here. The food was the reason for the four star review because the alcohol was not good.

Nice place, we sat in the front patio, the music wasn't so loud, we actually could have a conversation and the windows were kinda open to get the breeze in. The food was good, although it came in different times, maybe because we had a big group. my fried fish was great. Andre our server was so nice and came by quite often to make sure we were ok. Would definitely come back here, I had not been here since before the remodel.

Left the gym hungry and not wanting to cook. Did a quick Yelp search and found this lovely Mariscos restaurant close by. Mariscos Choix was easy to find right on the Main Street. Walked in really close to closing but Cindy was nice enough to take my order anyways and answer all my questions. I ended up ordering CeViche Agua De Verde & Cameron Ceviche. Both are delicious. Wow! This was my first time at this place and the FOOD was IMMACULATE! MUST try the tacos sinaloense. They are the BOMB. The molcajete was really good. Definitely big enough for 2 people. And we finished off with the horchata ice cream and churros. This place was fire. Also the service was great. Not only did Itzel check on us a ton of times. This place was already super busy before our pandemic. The wait times are doubled now. This trip I checked in through Yelp as suggested with a 35 minute supposed wait time but the stacked cars in the area told me otherwise when I had to park in the Del Taco parking across the street. I only waited 15 minutes before I called them on my cell and ordered my Jaiva tostadas to go. 2 for under $14 and they never disappoint for a snack. They always taste fresh, the tostadas are crunchy, and the generous packs of thier salsa are plentiful. read more

Enjoyed some mariscos with family on a beautiful Sunday. Food was really good and the live music was enjoyable . Our server Alex was very attentive. Great food and just as good service. The green aguaschile was super spicy but had good flavor. (I have a high heat tolerance so was surprised how spicy it was) . Loved this place. Liked their style. I decided to eat inside because it was a rainy day but I wish I was outside with the music and fun. A lot of parking on the side street which was also a plus. I ordered the fish tostada which was really good. Governador taco and the Marlin taco was really good. My favorite. Food is amazing literally anything on the menu is fire. It takes a while to get the food but when you do it's really worth the wait. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. Prices are higher than other spots but here you get a bang for your buck. The place itself is small and the parking lot is also small. Don't judge a book by its cover. I am traveling for business and really want some good Mexican seafood. I found it here. The place looks just blah. But, not so much. The service was wonderful --I had takeout. Oh my! He brought it out to my car where I was waiting (needed to charge phone.) Who does that? Well, Mariscos does. I'd give 4 stars just for that. Was there yesterday 3/02 to check it out . Was promptly greeted and seated immediately. The food is good , we had a shrimp/ pulpo cocktail and tacos de pulpo , tacos de Cameron. All were good. Under construction, but still serving people. The waitress Lupita was great but she doesn't decide how management measures the amount of serving to add to a meal. I ordered an expensive $25 Shrimp and octopus soup. But it only had about three pieces of octopus and a fair amount of shrimps. Both of the items I ordered suited the occasion refreshingly, service was quick and staff is friendly and attentive, I did have a minor negative critique, I had a couple fries from my nieces left over dish and It was obvious they cook their fries in the same oil as they do their seafood, I personally didn't mind, but I know some folks that would definitely complain about it, so just a heads up folks. We recently visited this restaurant after seeing an Instagram video that made the experience look amazing, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to our expectations. The food itself was okay, nothing terrible, and the prices felt higher than what the overall experience justified. One of the biggest disappointments was realizing that what we saw online didn't match what was actually offered when we visited. It seems that certain menu items or presentations highlighted in their social media are only available on weekends, something that wasn't clearly communicated. This made the experience fell a bit misleading and left us whishing we had known ahead of time. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was great, we loved the way the plants were laid out throughout the restaurant and the music was a hit. Enjoyed our first time at Mariscos Choix. All staff, especially Andre our server made our celebration for a group of 16 one to remember. We were seated in a timely manner for our reservation at 6:15. Drinks were ordered and enjoyed by all. Andre made sure to ask about food allergies which was great as some of their salsas have nuts in them. My son has nut allergies. The food was great we ordered a variety Baja Fish Tacos, Marlin Fish Tacos, De Pulpo, Tostada de Ceviche, Tostada Mixta, Molcajete, Beef Fajitas, Shrimp and chicken nuggets for the kids and everyone was satisfied with their meal. Given we were a large group drinks and food came out in a very timely manner. After dinner, celebration desserts were brought out by the staff for my brother and parents who we were celebrating. We had such an amazing experience at Mariscos Choix, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Carlos. From the moment we sat down, Carlos was incredibly attentive and welcoming. He took the time to walk us through the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure we understood all the delicious seafood options. When it came to ordering drinks, Carlos was so helpful in suggesting refreshing cocktails and micheladas that paired perfectly with our food. He checked on us regularly without ever being intrusive and made sure we always had everything we needed. Our food came out perfectly, and Carlos made the whole experience feel special and personal. Woowww!!!! This place keeps getting better and better. I've been coming for some time now, and today was honestly the best. I always get my (tacos mar y Tierra). Let me just tell you.... These juicy ass tacos are bomb! Tortilla is fried, the cheese is fried, shrimp and asada... mmmm La tostada (ceviche de camarón con jaiva) is my favorite. The reason I keep coming back. Don't forget to ask for Chile chiltepin ( you might die) jk. Anyway, this place is honestly the best. As a client of about 4 years, this place is the best. Oh but wait...... there is more..... Ok so I been craving for a Botana choix that I saw a couple time on friends Snapchat. It looks super yummy avocado good presentation. So I went with hubb to take food to go. I order my Botana Choix. ERROR!! They give me 2 boxes, I open one it was only 3 slides of avocado and the other box was the Botana. Omg it was like one tostada serving. We paid almost $28dls which is ok for a Botana but serving was so poor. Flavor was delicious. have nothing to said about the kitchen really good. But never again I'll take botanas to go. They serve so poor portions. If you want a good Botana Mariscos for same price go to La Barca Grill and Cantina. read more

Was very surprised with the wait time which was none. Came here around 1pm on a Saturday and my family and I were seated right away. Have to mention that the food here is very delicious compared to other similar restaurants around the area. Micheladas are buy 1 and second half off! We had a mojara a la diabla ( super delicious ) and chicken fajitas. Our waiter was Guadalupe and she was very sweet and genuinely attentive. Amid the pandemic, things have changed every where and everyone one is trying their best to make things work. I had such a wonderful experience at Mariscos Choix The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We celebrated my step dad's birthday and they made it extra special. A special shoutout to our waitress, Rosalinda (aka Rosy) who made the evening even better. She was attentive , friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu She made great recommendations and made us feel genuinely welcome. I was really hoping for a great experience at this place, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The food was mostly mediocre. The Aguachile was alright, but nothing special. The "fresh guacamole made to order" looked more like an old spread -- definitely not what I was expecting. The Tacos Gobernador were fine, but it's disappointing that they charge extra for the chipotle sauce, which is usually included at other places. The chicken fajitas were also underwhelming, lacking the flavor and sizzle I was hoping for. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I won't be rushing back. read more
