Good food and friendly service. Restrooms are clean and the dining area is kept clean too. There is lots of parking and overall it was a decent experienced the michelada was nothing to rave about. No flavor and was lacking the flavors on what makes a good michelada. The rice and beans had good flavor and the fish was fried perfectly. The appetizer was also very tasty. My husband had the bistek ranchero and he says it was very good and full of flavor. They had good music playing and they also had a full bar. read more

This place should be packed every night, great quality food, great service, well priced, welcoming atmosphere. The trendy mariscos playa hermosa has nothing on this place, there, you'll find ambiance with no substance and an over priced menu. You can come here to enjoy breakfast lunch or dinner. It's all good. On to the specialties, oysters preparados, aguachile shrimp, the ceviche are all a must try. The tostadas are good too with good options. If you like carne, you'll find good options here as well, they make their meat al carbon. I highly recommend this place, it's next door to Cocina Madrigals, you'll enjoy this hidden gem over those trendy spots guaranteed. Hope you stop by some time and enjoy the great food that south Phoenix has to offer. read more

Authentic food. Nice, friendly staff. Crispy whole fish was fun and delicious. Chicken tacos were excellent too!

Good food, ordered the pescado - definitely will be back once in in a while 4 starts because theirs always room for improvement! read more

Food was okay kind of bland, asked the waitress for ketchup for my cóctel like 4 times and she took ketchup to someone else. Even after she came back to ask that what I indeed wanted was ketchup like yes girl I told you like 3 times. Left no tip as the service was kind of shotty. read more

So if you are a little bit of an uptight gringo that is accustomed to Americanized Mexican food then this is not your restaurant. However, if you like excellent, traditional, Mexican food this is your place. This is a family run restaurant complete with little grandchildren running around. This restaurant is nestled in a heavy blue collar worker area. Nothing fancy, just damned good food. The menu is in Spanish with small English translation underneath. Everything we had was fantastic. The wait staff was excellent. The only annoying thing was the music was loud, but when I asked if they could turn it down a little they did so immediately. Portions are generous and the price is moderate. Take a risk and give it a try. Guarantee you will like it. read more

I had the worst experience at this mariscos restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely terrible. Our server, Ashley, kept giving us dirty looks all night, making us feel unwelcome. The attitude from the staff was unprofessional and rude. The food was just as bad. I originally ordered shrimp tacos, but I changed my mind and got chicken tacos instead. Big mistake. The chicken tasted old, like it was expired. My friend had the shrimp, and it was slimy and had a disgusting, spoiled taste. It was clear that the seafood was not fresh. This place is a health hazard, and I will be reporting them to the state health board. No restaurant should be serving expired food or seafood that tastes rotten. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone bad service, nasty food, and a terrible atmosphere. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

Food was OK I love eating fried Mojara with French fry's , fish was good only I thought it was Offly small compared to other Mariscos we go too read more

Fresh seafood, great staff, clean restaurant. Family owned and great place to take the family.

This is a great hidden gem in south Phoenix! My daughter performs at a theater nearby and this is going to be our family's new dinner spot after shows! Everything was fresh and delicious: margaritas, chips and salsa, fish tacos, shrimp fajitas, and a chicken quesadilla. Service was excellent, especially Angie, our server. Ask her for the special seafood salsa! read more

Had zero expectations. It was open. The lot only had 3 cars in it. The other taco spot right around the corner was packed and I'd been there before. Plus there was tons of white people there all taking pics. So the place is ruined to the Instagram crowd ha! This place was different and really good. We ordered a bunch of stuff. Mainly seafood. The stuffed chilies I absolutely enjoyed. Spicy, crunchy on account of the bacon, and inside the shrimp and cheese mixture was surprisingly good. Dip them in the sauce. So good. Everything was great. The place was clean, the food good, our server was also helpful. I'd come back. read more

Shrimp was slimy, cocktail had no flavor you could tell it was watered down. The unfortunate part was that it was a little noon on a hot day so I would hope the turn around would of food would have be a fresh batch of seafood for sure. Now I know I am beI get picky, but I like my shrimp deveined. I of every 4 to 6 might be somewhat cleaned all others were not. Definitely my preference, but if not deveined I'd pay to go else where. Now there agua chile batch was all deveined but I assume it it because they use super fresh shrimp to marinate/cook the shrimp in the aguachile sauce. read more

I came to this restaurant, not too long ago my first time coming here the waitress had such a bitchy attitude, and she is one of the main servers at this restaurant, there was a new girl server that was waiting our table, and she kept giving us the wrong order of food almost every time we were ordering a lot of food and the main server could not even come and help this girl out and give her some tips on how to be a server because you could tell that this girl had never served in her life. So the main girl server comes up to us and is like oh what's going with the food and we tell her well your server here has brought us two orders of the wrong thing. We don't know if it's because she's forgetting, confused or if it's because she doesn't know how to give orders to the chef off your menu. She proceeds to handle this situation, but yet was giving us looks at our table throughout the whole time we were there. I don't know if she's the bosses daughter, but clearly you could tell that she hates her job and she needs to be nicer. And be a better trainer for her servers. read more

Great spot if you're looking for refreshing Mariscos and good drinks! Our party enjoyed the tacos and shrimp cocktails. Highly recommend!

Great service, great food! What else do you need? The only drawback was the noise level in the dining room. Loud and everything bounces off the walls. There I'd outside seating and if it was a little bit warmer we would have sat outside. We'll be back for sure when it's warmer. read more

Don't let the outside detour you. This place has authentic Mexican food. The shrimp cocktail was delicious.

I recently visited this restaurant with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their food and the kindness of their servers. The owners are a pleasure to talk with and I was impressed to know that this is a family owned restaurant. They are preparing to renovation both the outside and inside to bring the restaurants appearance up to the level of their food and service. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. This restaurant has become a destination for myself and my family. It's always exciting to find a nice place with good service that you can bring your friends in for a beer or your family in for some good food and desserts. Talk to the owners, George or his sister and please tell them Damian sent you. This place is a hidden gem off 16th st and Broadway in Phoenix. read more

Excellent lunch. My wife had the Pulpos Al Mojo de Ajo (octopus in garlic sauce), nice & fresh. I had Culichi Salsa Verde (shrimp in green sauce). Couldn't have been happier. As we finished, the wonderful, cheerful owner showed us what she was bringing another customer: "Cucharahas" (despite the name --- split whole prawns, skin on, grilled). The customer insisted she give us each a taste, her having shown them to us. Superb. A pleasant place with some Cubano karaoke on one screen, Netflix's "Jesus, El nino Dios". Fortunately sound on for the music, the other for the holiday visuals ... to his being Christmas Eve Eve. read more

Oh my gosh this place is a total whole in the wall but it's so good! I got a speciality made veggie burrito similar to one at San Diego's sombreros restaurant it was amazing. My boyfriend got a few mini tacos which he liked but was amazed by. I'm a vegetarian, he isn't and he even ordered a veggie burrito for himself! The pico de gao and beans were so delicious on the burrito. read more

Mexican Americans not welcome and not served. My wife and I waited patiently over an hour for our food, while other patrons arrived, ordered and left. Didn't receive our order so we left. read more

I probably should write a review, since apparently I'm the restaurant's profile picture right now (oh dear). The prices for dinner items are a little more expensive than the hole-in-the-wall establishment that I expected when we pulled up to this Mexican joint. That's probably because the vast majority of the dishes are seafood related. There are non-seafood items, especially on the lunch menu, but seafood is definitely the special of the house (bahia means bay). So, of course, I made the mistake of ordering a non-seafood dish. Luckily it wasn't a horrible mistake - my cheese enchiladas were filling, had decent flavor, and were, best of all, cheap. However, I'm sure the seafood here is spectacular, and I broke my own rule and didn't order the house specialty. My horchata, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious. Service was great as well. When the chef sent out beef enchiladas (not an item on the $7 lunch menu) instead of my cheap version, the waitress apologized profusely and offered to let me have it if I'd like. The bus-boy was a cute 10 year old wearing a walkman. Obviously an authentic family-run establishment. Stop by if you're in the area - it's better than those buffet places that the nearby DMV is advertising! read more

Mariscos Bahia De Guaymas - Chicken Enchiladas In Green Sauce - Mexican Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

My wife and I frequent this restaurant often. The food, service and prices are very reasonable. We have never had a bad experience here. We also enjoy the fact that it is never over crowded. We highly recommend this restaurant. The ostiones especiales are excellent too. read more

So for the monolingual, "Bahia de Guaymas" means "Guaymas Bay." Don't walk in expecting your typical Mexican steak fajitas, because unless you're coming for lunch this is a Mexican seafood restaurant. Can't speak for the seafood, but the lunch was great. Very affordable - no lunch special more than $7. Salsa and chips were fresh and tasty. The meal itself was incredibly filling - I had a huge burrito and the wife had her typical cheese enchiladas. You can get whatever meal you ordered smothered in enchilada sauce for an extra 95 cents. The enchilada sauce is reminiscent of New Mexican chile sauce - sweet and spicy. Music is a bit loud, I got up and discreetly turned it down at one point. As we left a mariachi band was walking in, sorry we missed out on that but we had to run. Overall the place has a low-key party atmosphere. Give it a shot if you're in the area! read more

As close to Mexico as you can get without a passport! We ordered the shrimp ceviche, tacos al pastor, shrimp tacos and pargo rojo con salsa de ajo (red snapper in garlic sauce). Everything was deliciously authentic, and the tacos al pastor, ah, ¡me vuelve a Guanajuato de nuevo! We fed a family of four with sodas for $50 plus tip, and we were STUFFED. Lovely service, fun music and real Mexican food. 10/10 will return soon. read more

Arrived hungry after our long drive from Rancho Mirage. Of all the Mexican retaurants I looked at, this place had many different Octopus dishes! Friendly welcome, casusl, home style place. We were the only non Spanish speaking people there, so, we knew the food would be good. Elva's recommendations were perfdct. Green shrimp for my hubby snd Octopus garlic Sauce. Excellent food! The oysters were fresh, the 7 martes soup was the best I have eaten...loaded with delicious fish.
