El Tacazo

I generally come here when I am working in South Phoenix in the mid day. It's a decent place for meetings. The owners are often on site. The prices are great. The food is fast and fresh and the ladies behind the counter are very nice and fun to converse with. They have me a flan for my birthday! Yo puedo practicar hablando español! Jajajajaja

Steak tacos, Pastor burrito, lengua tacos, beef chili

Heard so much about this place and finally ate here for my first time. It's very clean and surprisingly well taken care of. Great authentic food and the steak is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend for anyone eating here their first time. Relaxing dining hall with soothing music and good service.

Yes!!!! Flauta plate. My fav.

The restaurant is clean and presentable. The cashier's are always nice, proficient and professional. The carne asada tacos are sooooo good. Perfectly flavored carne asada with onions and cilantro. The corn tortillas are double-rolled to hold the mounds of meat. The lemon to squeeze on the tacos is perfect. Love coming here and will continue to visit.

Cannot wait to dig into these chicken flautas!

Nice friendly staff and authentic Mexican food! My favorites are the shrimp tacos, flautas and Chile verde.

"Try my taco" - that's what the sign says.

Chicken is frozen from a bag. Tortillas are common grocery store tortilla. They don't even have lime... what a joke.

They took so damn long i feel asleep, then still woke up to be in the same spot in line. The food is not worth the wait.

Best carne asada burritos this side of town. The ladies are nice. The place is not the fanciest but it's always clean. The prices are fair.

What a great experience! We had visited Mimi Forno shortly after they opened in 2018. Life got in…read morethe way and we didn't return until April of 2026. Even without reservations we were seated immediately. Water and menus were on the table in the blink of an eye. Our server, Josephina, was quick to take both drink and appetizer orders. I ordered some bread, not immediately realizing the difference, and should have ordered the focaccia. The martini that my wife ordered was, in her words, perfect. The Caesar Salad was the best I've had in quite a while. Just incredibly fresh greens, great dressing, grated cheese, and tasty croutons. I could have made a meal just from that. My wife ordered the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli and I had the Lasagna Bolognese. Neither is an unusually elegant dish but both were prepared perfectly. The house Chianti was so enjoyable that we ordered a bottle and enjoyed it throughout the meal. To finish off the experience we had an order of cannolis and they were delicious. Thanks to Josephina for such a great evening and we will be back to try the "Bottle & Bruschetta" they feature on Mondays and Tuesdays.

My husband and I came in around 5:15-5:30 on a Wednesday night. The place was half empty and we…read morewere led to a table and sat down, with two glasses of water. I guess other people decided to eat when we did because next thing I know, the tables were almost full. No one came to take our drink order or check how we were doing with the menu. The table next to us sat down AFTER us but got their orders taken first. The waitress didn't bother coming to see if we were ready to order. We informed the hostess we decided to not dine here and she looked around, trying to figure out who our waitress was supposed to be. We won't be coming back.
