Met the girls for lunch today.Cute little restaurant in the heart of OP. There is a self serve coffee bar & you go to the counter to order and food is brought to your table. Mario (the owner) was behind the counter & served the food. He was very personable and came around to check if everything was ok. The soups today were roasted red pepper and minestrone. I had the roasted red pepper and one of my friends had the minestrone. Both were good size servings, I thought mine was very good as did my friends. I ordered the eggplant stacker (eggplant medallions layered with fresh mozzarella & tomato w/ pesto drizzled with evoo & balsamic glaze & served on a bed of spinach). My friends ordered arancini, beet salad and eggplant caprese. We all enjoyed our lunch. Sadly we were so busy talking that I forgot to take pics. Take my word for it, definitely worth a try. There is a nice patio area in front that hopefully they will use once the weather breaks. read more

Grabbed takeout sandwiches while hosting friends from out of town and everything was a hit. The food was ready right at the promised time, making pickup quick and easy. We ordered the whole Bronx, the fried bolony sandwich, and the eggplant Caprese panini. Each one was flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying. The bread was fresh, the fillings were generous, and the flavors really stood out, making it easy to please a group with different tastes. The only disappointment was that I couldn't use my Restaurant.com certificate from Mario's Bistro & Brews, as it didn't transfer to their new location. Finally tried the new location in OP. Very comfortable atmosphere. I had the 1/2 Bronx Panini and my wife had the Parma Panini. Both sandwichs were very good. The small antipasto was more like a charcuterie board without the board. Perfect niche restaurant for the Village. Next trip there will be to try the pizza. read more

Tried Mario's because the wait was too long at Mangia's-- so glad we did! Exceptional Chilean sea bass, egg plant stacker, meatballs, pasta, and of course sauce. We were looking for a breakfast place in Orchard Park and found this on yelp. They just moved from another location. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. I got a Sunnyside with eggplant, a bit of mozzarella cheese, some tomato, and of course, an egg which was cooked perfectly, on top of a bit of greens and balsamic dressing. My husband got the bomber sandwich, which had a couple of different deli meats, including mortadella, roasted red peppers, olive tampanade on a Panini. We had a wonderful Friday Evening dinner and drinks at Mario's Bistro & Brews with friends. Orchard Park is blessed to have another wonderful restaurant in the village. This quaint family run business has wonderful food prepared and served by the nicest staff. You can tell the difference in quality with their ingredients compared to other restaurants in the area. The chef came table side and explained the ingredients he uses and how they contribute to the dishes. We enjoyed a charcuterie board with the most tasty meats and cheeses, a beer batrered fish fry, broiled fish that was divine (ingredients!!) pizza (not your standard dough) and cannoli with a ricotta mixture that has no equal that we've tasted.. This was my first time at Mario's I didn't even know they opened yesterday but I am so happy I stumbled across it. Being a native Jersey guy I was thrilled to see they had a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich called The Monster , it was amazingly delicious! The coffee (self serve) was also great. Absolutely knocked it out of the park. Mario's Bistro & Brews has officially earned a permanent spot in my Southtowns fish fry rotation. The haddock was boneless, skinless, and perfectly fried. Light, fresh, and everything a WNY fish fry should be. But honestly? The potato salad stole the show. I don't know what they're doing with it but it was out of this world. Portions were generous, the atmosphere was great, and the service was on point from start to finish. 5 stars without hesitation -- and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the Italian food! read more

Now that they are open in the Village - it will be a weekly trip to Mario's. The food is always fresh and delicious. His style is different from other deli's - he just does it better. Always greeted like you are family. Americano's are great and the breakfast is top notch. I had the eggs in purgatory - call me a sinner, but I love them. read more

100% recommend Mario's. When you want to go out for breakfast, but you know every place you go will taste the same, try Mario's. I had the standard breakfast of eggs, home fries, bacon and toast, my daughter had eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and a ciabatta roll, both were amazing. Nothing ordinary about these breakfast items. The eggs were cooked and seasoned perfectly, the home fries had such a unique flavor (absolutely delicious), the bacon was plentiful and cooked perfectly and the toast (I got rye) was amazing. I had coffee from the self-serve coffee bar, and my daughter had a cappuccino with lavender syrup (recommended by a staff member) and it was amazing (she gave me a sip). This was our first visit but will not be our last. Not only was it a relaxing, adorable cafe, with amazing staff, food and coffee, but the price was great too. When we were leaving my daughter said, "eating at Mario's was like visiting family." I'd say that summed it up perfectly. read more

Went to Mario's on a Friday morning and it didn't disappoint! It was our first time here and the staff were so friendly and the breakfast sandwiches were fresh and delicious! My partner got the "monster" which he was excited about because pork roll breakfast sandwiches are hard to come by in wny. I decided on an egg cheese and sausage on a ciabatta. Stopped in for lunch with coworkers. I ordered the Bronx and was not disappointed! Fresh bread, freshly sliced meats, tasty olive tamponade, and I substituted fresh mozzarella in place of provolone. Wow, what a great sandwich and filling. Came with chips and pickle. So good! Parking is available in front and the side. Great seating inside is available, and the owner takes great pride in his food and checked in with us as we were eating to make sure everything was okay. My coworkers got the meatball bomber and said it was very, very good. Great food, great service, and fair prices. I'll definitely be back!! Oh, and the owner speaks fluent Italian!! read more

Don't be put off by the "gas station" looking exterior. The food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. The eggplant caprice sandwich I had was the best meal I have had on our trip from California. It was so warm and tasty in a panini style. We picked Mario's on a rainy fall Saturday to try a new place. It is a very lovingly decorated Italian bistro and the menu is surprisingly diverse. We shared a panini and zuchini frittata. Both were freshly made, delicious and large portions. Mario was behind the counter overseeing preparation and stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying our lunch. He obviously takes great pride in his business. We love to support small businesses like this. Located between East Aurora and Orchard Park, we hope this business gains a good following. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch on a nice day and left saying "we definitely will be back." The staff were super nice and welcomed us with a smile. I had a panini and my husband had a pizza. Growing up in Western NY, Mario was surrounded by many cultural influences. With a melting pot of different food styles, Bar scenes, and preferred home cooking; Mario’s interest in food and hospitality only grew once he took off to New York City after college. With a need for change that came in 2020, Mario found himself back in Western New York with a hunger to bring the quality, and taste that he had come accustomed to while away. I am happy to give multiple chances to restaurants that can address their mistakes honestly and listen to the customer. Unfortunately, the manager here is defensive, argumentative, and doesn't listen. He clearly doesn't care about the customer, the right thing to do, or the reputation of the business. We ordered three subs through the Slice app. One was fine. The fish sub and chicken finger subs we ordered were delivered late at room temperature and had no lettuce or tomato on them - despite the fact that both their app and their paper menu say that lettuce, tomato, and onion comes automatically on every sub. (See photos.) What we received was essentially just meat and sauce on a roll. When I called, the manager argued with me that I didn't select "Lettuce" and "Tomato" when ordering off the app, so that's why I didn't receive it. I explained that I didn't select those because the menu says subs already come with those items and so the app lists them as "Extras" - for which there is a +0.79 charge each (See photos). I explained that we didn't want EXTRA lettuce and tomato, just what should have come on the sub according to their menu. He continued to argue with me in circles that it was my fault for not selecting those items. I said I didn't "select" fish or chicken fingers either and they still came on the sub - because that's what their menu says comes on that item! He kept telling me it was my fault, and then even told me that now I know for next time. So apparently, when your customer is telling you that either your app or your menu is incorrect and misleading, the solution is to tell the customer it's their problem to remember that next time, and not the company's problem to resolve. He asked me what I wanted. I said that I wanted the corrected $40 order delivered to my house. He said he could at best offer me a 50% discount ON MY NEXT ORDER and only after speaking to "his Slice guy". I told him not to worry - there won't be another order.

We sat in the covered patio area, after grabbing some menus from the bar. For those new to this, you order your food at the bar if you're not eating right at the bar. The folks here that work are super kind, and I see the same two every time I come in so it's pretty consistent. The four of us ordered some drinks, burgers and a specialty flavored basket of wings. It came out pretty quickly for how busy it was. We all demolished our food, and spent a good two hours there just chatting and catching up. I'm a creature of habit and got the black and blue burger with fries. I also got the cider. My boyfriend got the prohibition signature burger with tots, and the seasonal Pumpking beer. We got the chili garlic wings and those were solid. Drowned in sauce and crispy. Our friends got the Bern burger with tots and the prohibition signature turkey burger with onion rings. They got a beer and a Cabernet respectively. I really enjoyed my cider and they enjoyed their drinks. The burgers were on point as always, and I enjoy my fries with vinegar and ketchup. Onion rings and tots were nice and crispy without being greasy. No complaints at all here. Will be back soon.

The future looks like Chipotle clones and Cava copies. If you like that future, have fun there. I won't be joining you. It's a good thing the name isn't written backwards otherwise you'd be in Det's. And then there would be Det collectors and you know how mean those guys can be. What to get: Polish! Polish! Polish! I'm not talking about your mani, but your dog! No not that dog, I mean the hot dog you order here! What else: Footlong dog, and I'm not talking about your man, you wish. Anything else: Yes. (shakes like a piece of chocolate). What was that? It's a chocolate shake! The service isn't always great but that can be said about every Ted's. It just depends which one of the 74 teenagers working at the place, that you get serving you. It's quint-essential Buffalo. Not that it's essential to have quints in Buffalo. Twins or triplets will do. Too expensive. But you must visit Ted's at least once to see what you think. Personally we just have cats, but we practice making babies constantly. They're a wonderful place. Their sausages are phenomenal, especially the Polish, the Footlong is great too. You absolutely must try the Polish, it shoots hot juice into my mouth even more expertly than any man I've ever met. It's just so damn delicious. Give it a try and see what I mean. They don't take phone orders (they should). Their Italian sausage is excellent, their burgers are nice, their footlongs and regular dogs are better, and their Polish is the piece-de-resistance, whatever that means. Perhaps you can use it to resist the fascists of new America, they're sadly on Yelp too. I can name them. For a small fee. It's good. Very good. And their chocolate milkshakes (with malt added) are muy excelente, if a little smallente. But also not as expensive as some shakes in the area and every bit as tasty. Ted's always disappoints me price wise. It looks cheap but next thing you know it's more than $10 for more than a snack. But it's excellent so I put up with it. Not a satisfying meal, but a wonderful snack. Which is why Akon did that song "Snack That" which was about Ted's. The Loganberry is also awesome, by the way. Everyone knows Taffy's for their ice cream and milkshakes (which we didn't get pictures of) but their food is so good and gives that perfect summer vibe. When we pulled up, there were a few people ahead of us in line but the staff here made quick work of the line and we ordered in no time. Friendly service for our burgers and fries. They were done quickly too. Everything tasted great. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the curly fries were incredible. The tables that are on the rocking chair base are so nice to lounge in. Also important to remember that they are cash only here. This is one of my favorite places to go in the summer and we're planning on being here a lot.

The Texas hots themselves are delicious - snappy Sahlen's dogs, soft rolls, and that signature meat sauce that hits all the right notes. Wish there was a little more meat in the sauce, but when you live out of state, you really can't complain because this is hometown comfort food you've spent your entire life eating. It's comfort food through and through, and you can tell they've been doing this a long time. The staff is friendly and chatty, the kind of place where you get quick service and a bit of banter without any pretense. Inside, it's a no-frills setup: hot dogs, burgers, and breakfast are the stars of the show, and that's exactly what you're here for. The dining area and bathroom were clean, which goes a long way for a spot that sees a lot of traffic, especially being this close to the stadium. Overall, this is the kind of place you can't really go wrong with. If you want classic Western New York Texas hots done right, served fast, and done the same way every time, this is a very consistent spot. Dad was happy too :)
