I generally like their pizza but it has to be ordered with extra sauce. I order from here about once a month with Door Dash. The food usually would get 4-stars. Door Dash is always great. However, the 1-star is for a recent order I had on the Door Dash app with Marion's. In the app there is no option for a half mushroom/half pepperoni pizza. From asking Door Dash, Marion's has to request to add/enable this option itself for its customers. My only option was to order a full pepperoni and mushroom pizza and then immediately call the Marion's location and ask them to make my pizza only half mushroom and pepperoni on one side. When I called Marion's I explained they had made no option in the app for customer comments and asked for the pizza I wanted. I was given the manager to talk to and he basically told me there was nothing he could do for me that my pizza... in the 30 seconds it took to order and call them was in the oven and couldn't be fixed or re-made. I told him I would not eat the half mushroom and pepperoni pizza and he did not care. He seemed irritated I ordered from Door Dash. I asked him to fix the order and he refused. I had to cancel the order and when I looked at my card they charged me over what the pizza cost! I never received the pizza and they charged me!!!! Fun fact! Years ago, the Dayton Daily News did their first "Best and Worst of Dayton" Marion's was named both the Best and the Worst Pizza! For better or worse, this is "Dayton Style" pizza. It's crazy, it isn't like most other pizza (although it's similar to two other local pizza places, Ron's and Cassano's.) If you've never tried it, plan on either getting a pitcher of beer or a pitcher of cola (Strangely, they have both Pepsi and Coke on tap!) (The sandwiches are more conventional. Personally, I like the meatball and the steak.) You will either like this pizza, or you will have a story to tell that all your Chicago or New York Pizza eating friends will laugh about for years! read more

Rookie Steeler Will Johnson Fundraiser to Benefit Hometown Youth Football Team-Centerville Wee Elks CENTERVILLE (June 29, 2012) Will Johnson of the Pittsburgh Steelers is hosting a fundraiser on Monday, July 16th to benefit the Centerville Wee Elks youth football program. Johnson, a native of Ohio, started his path to a professional career in football with the Centerville Elks in 2005. Johnson went on to be a star player at West Virginia University followed by his new position with the Steelers. The fundraiser and signing will take place at Marion's Piazza, located at 241 North Main Street in Centerville, Ohio from 5-8PM. Marion's Piazza will be donating a portion of food sales from the event to the Wee Elks. Will Johnson will be signing autographs and taking pictures with those who attend the event. Will has a special interest in giving back to the community and the people that helped him achieve his dream of playing in the NFL. All ages are welcome to attend. This pizza is both bizarre and compelling. It is something I had a lot in my youth when I lived here...and was the best in Dayton, but that was before the big chains marched in. They haven't changed, which is both good and bad. Always liked the pepperoni but the sausage is what they are known for. For those from the outside, if you visit and try this you simply may not like it. It's a Dayton thing...but i hanker for it on occasion. read more

Well all I can say is the Large Super Cheese with no green peppers has been my favorite for at least 30 years. I remember coming here when I was little after baseball games. All these years later and it's still the best there is. I'd guess I've eaten here 100 times or more over the years and it's always been exactly what I ordered and expected. read more

Overall this pizza is ok, but I wasnt too happy with the amount of toppings. My kids like it so I still go there once in a while.

Being from the Detroit area, we have our Detroit style pizza (Buddy's--Cloverleaf's) and as far as thick crust square pizza goes you won't find any better any where in the USA. But for the last 40 years, I do not pass by the Dayton area with out stopping at Marions or Cassanos. Both a little different but both excellent pizzas. As a matter of fact, I'm leaving shortly, heading south down I-75 for a few days and will be stopping at either the Troy, Oh location or the Dayton Mall location for a late pizza dinner. And I plan on stopping at one or the other on the way back north. My only complaint is they haven't expanded northward. I've eaten the best deep dish pizza Chicago has to offer. Eaten pizza at Frank Pepe's in New Haven, CT. Both were unique and excellent. I've eaten pizza from California to the east coast but I've never had any like Dayton style pizza and Marion's is one of the best IMHO. read more

I've been coming to this place for years with my family. I always looked forward to it as a child. It's hand down the best pizza around. No other place is like it. And it's still family owned and stick to the same values they had when it first started. He food is great and the costumer service is even better. And they now take credit cards! read more

I've eaten at the Stroop Rd. and Englewood locations and wasn't impressed. This pizza had a soggy crust that was overly salty, yet there wasn't enough sauce. They don't take credit cards, either. I went during their "1965" sale they have every 5 years, and the service was terrible! Hothead Burritos gave away free burritos and I was only there a few minutes. I went to Marion's a few minutes before they closed, and I waited 45 minutes. The wait was even longer earlier in the day I was told. I don't know why this is Dayton's favorite pizza chain; it's just as lousy as Cassano's! Who would wait hours for this crap? read more
