Enjoyable restaurant with the main highlights being the side dishes! Tuesday night the service was quick, sat down right away for dinner, employees not too warm, but no one was unpleasant. To start the Pinot Noir kenwood had a nice balance - it was mild, not too acidic or dry but not fruity either. It paired well with the Wagyu Beef Sliders - they claimed to have manchego cheese but it must have been too little to make a difference in flavor. The meat in the slider was well done and I expected more from the appetizer. Though the bun was soft and the caramelized onions and mini egg were a nice touch, the beef itself lacked in flavor/seasoning. The pepper atop the burger looked pretty but didn't pair well in my opinion. It didn't even really come through as heat. Then came the entrees: "spicy" beef tenderloin (not spicy at all, included a semi sweet soy dipping sauce) and the dry-aged Ribeye with bone barrow - both lacked salt as the seasonings were mild. The steaks should have been served hotter with more salt, those two things would've made a big difference in quality. The meat however was tender and a good portion served. The bone marrow was the skimpy bit but good flavor. The potato bowls (very big serving) served with the steaks had peppers and they were seriously delicious. The BEST things hands down were the sides (though you'll pay for them!) the truffle Mac n cheese was ooey gooey goodness, so cheesy and fragrant, and yet the Brussels sprouts topped off the Mac! They were THAT good! served piping hot with crunchy bacon and a hint of horseradish, they had the perfect amount of bite. I would order these two side dishes and skip the rest of the food hands down! For dessert - sadly, it was a miss. The creme brûlée was not executed properly, the creme was melting, as if it were a warm ice cream and the brûlée top portion was over torched amounting in an almost burnt flavor. The verdict - this place isn't the cheapest in Brickell, and for what you get it can leave you expecting much more flavor and precision; the sides however, do take the MVP award. read more

The good: this place has real good food, the ambiance is very hip and has mostly a very party-style atmosphere and finishing off with a real party late into the night. They are basically ripping off bagatelle, but I guess the business works. In addition our server was very good, went over all menu items in detail and was mostly very attentive. I suggest ordering the rock shrimp, toro toro sushi, Wagyu beef, and mostly any of their rolls or sashimi, also their tiramisu is off the chain. The bad: the entire experience feels they are doing you a favor by even allowing you to dine and eat there. To reserve they require your credit card along with your unborn child's blood and make you feel if you are even a second late, they'll take you to jail. In addition they even have a rope to be able to go inside. When I even tried to leave the restaurant, after my meal, the guy guarding the rope for people coming in, wouldn't acknowledge me, so I took it upon myself to remove the rope so I can leave. This is when this rude doorman thinking he's Nicolas Sarkozy had the nerve to scream at me for touching the rope when all I was trying to do was get out. Basically the place has great food and atmosphere but a lot of the people there make your entire experience be negative. Overall most of the staff thinks this is Versailles castle and they are forgetting within a mile radius you have Zuma, Novikov, capital grille, I'll Gabbiano, among others, which offer faaaaar superior service, food, and overall experience for the same top dollar. read more

Purchased a Groupon and was so excited to visit this place after reading all the reviews. While making my reservation, I couldn't help but to think, "This place has to be the hottest thing yet" being that you have to reserve with a credit card (Marion's guarantee you're keeping reservation). Keep in mind, should you cancel within 24 hours, they'll automatically charge $50 per guest. Still, didn't mind and completed reservation. Saturday arrived, got all glammed up, arrived at 6:45 since my reservation was at 7 PM. Location was roped off, understanding they are not ready for business. We noticed people inside the restaurant and patiently waited on the bar outside for someone to acknowledge us. At 7:10 PM an elderly woman came outside, looked up and asked if we had a reservation, we confirmed we did, she asked to give her 10 minutes. Finally we were "let in", staff was running around, moving chairs, tables, testing the music and doing their routine set-up. I'm confused why not do this prior to letting their guest in. When advising the waiter we had a voucher his whole demeanor changed and advised the deal was good for specific days. I explained the voucher stated I could go on a Saturday with a reservation. He then called the manager. He rapidly came towards me and said, he couldn't honor the voucher, I asked if he wanted to see the instruction on how to redeem, he declined and stormed out (confused at this point, why did he rush? Where is he going? We were the only customers there. LOL) If you don't want people using vouchers, you (Marion) should consider not participating on these programs, you are making your guests uncomfortable!!! The reason I'm giving them two stars is because the food was good, but overall it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I had made reservations to El Tucan in May for July 29 to celebrate my husband's 35th birthday and my sister in law's 30th for a party of 6. I received a phone call from John the day before my reservation stating that El Tucan won't be operating but he will move my reservation to their sister restaurant, Marion, which was right next door to El Tucan. I really wanted El Tucan but I understood and I asked John to send me a confirmation email for the new reservation. He stated the system does it automatically and I did receive the email; HOWEVER, the reservation said for a party of 2, not 6. I called John back to tell him that it was incorrect, he REASSURED me that it's reserved for 6 and even told me he will be at the door waiting for me if I wanted. I said it was not necessary and he said to call him if there was any trouble. Wellllllll, of course there was trouble. The hostess said my reservation Only said for Party of 2 and I did my whole story about John etc etc. I even called him and texted. No answer and then he texted apologizing and said the manager will come talk to me. NEVER came talk to me. The hostess could only put us outside. It was hot, we were sweating. I gave 2 stars because we liked our waiter. For the money spent there and that I made reservations way in advance, NOT worth it. I heard about this place from my Uber driver in Miami who was telling me about a place he often drops people off at to listen to Latin music and party the night away. There are so many people ordering bottles it is truly amazing and everyone is dressed to perfection. Marion seems like the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or birthday. Everyone was having so much fun. The bar was nice and the drinks were made very well. There was a DJ spinning music and the lights came down as midnight approached with the main light coming from all the sparklers from bottles people ordered. Next door there was a nightclub playing some excellent music as well with a hallway connecting the two so that was nice as well. I had a blast at Marion and would definitely return in the future. Went on a Saturday night and sat outside. It was a great atmosphere. The burrata had perfect texture and the tomatoes were very fresh. The ribs had a sweet Korean flavor to them. The pork belly buns were great and the picture does not do the flavors justice. I was a huge fan of the Save Your Tears drink and it had a kick, but wasn't too spicy. The hostess on the night we went was a gem and I wish I got her name, but unfortunately I did not. BUT our server was extremely inattentive and we had to wait approximately 20-30 minutes just for him to pass by our table so that we could order anything each time including in between drinks and meal orders.
