We had been dealing with our dog's severe skin issues for years and felt like we had tried absolutely everything. Our vet had us on Apoquel first, and then we switched to Cytopoint shots. Nothing provided lasting relief, and we frequently had to put a cone on our dog just to stop him from tearing up his skin. Then we met Elizabeth, and everything changed. Elizabeth is incredibly honest, knowledgeable, and extremely result-oriented. Some people might find her direct approach a bit strict, but it's because she has years of experience and is absolutely sure of what works. She told us right away that we needed to follow her advice exactly, or it wouldn't work. She explained that the entire foundation of the treatment is structured around diet, and nothing else would help if we didn't fix the food first. What I appreciate most about Elizabeth is her integrity. She insisted on taking things one step at a time so we could actually see what was working. She wouldn't even allow us to add any topicals or supplements at first. We changed his food as instructed and saw immediate relief. Because she made us wait, we didn't even need to move on to the second step, which saved us a load of money. She could have easily sold us $100 worth of specialty shampoos and creams that day, but she didn't. She isn't interested in just selling products or slapping a bandaid on the problem; she goes straight to the root of the issue. We are so grateful to have a happy, comfortable dog again. Marin Raw has a stall at the Clement Farmers Market on Sundays. Some of the best treats you can give to your pup! Mostly single ingredient unless you buy the mix bags. My pug loves their Lamb Lungs. One of his favorite treats and I buy him a lot of different treats. We also sometimes get the rabbit liver and or the chicken hearts. We have been feeding him these treats since he was a baby and now he's 3. Very friendly and helpful people that run this stall. read more

My experience with this company and its owner has been great. The owner hasn't been what the previous reviews have said- she's been communicative, helpful and eager to be of service. Not to mention, I don't feel like someone's people skills, or lack thereof for that matter, dictates the quality and affordability of the product they offer. With that said- the comments stating you shouldn't support a local small business solely based on the owner's people skills are a little harsh, but to each their own. Elizabeth, the owner....I can't say enough good things about about her. I found Marin Raw in September of 2023. Thank God! My 13 year old Doberman had been diagnosed with Cushings Disease. I have owned 12 dobermans in my life and had been feeding dry dog food up until this diagnosis. I did the research and found out that the dry dog food, for so many many reasons should NEVER be fed to dogs. I immediately started grinding my own food. Ordering bone and hearts, etc and having it delivered from across the country, until I found Marin Raw. Elizabeth is like family now. She gives me so much information and even the code to her store, when I needed food late at night and she was closed. She is dedicated to educating dog owners and she is someone you can trust. As far as the Raw Diet and all the controversy over it. My veterinarian at Central Animal Hospital in Petaluma told me in no uncertain terms that raw is dangerous!! I have to say that in 8 days my dog showed no signs of Cushings. I had blood work done a month after putting her on an all raw diet and her blood work was completely normal. I found a holistic vet in Santa Rose, Wise and Wonderful Veterinary. Our second doberman is now on raw too. My daughter is a vet tech who lives with me. She is against the raw too. My sense is to feed closest to real food. I buy my raw meat from Elizabeth and grind vegetables to add and my dogs have never been healthier. I can not recommend Marin Raw enough. In fact I am like a representative for the raw diet now...I tell everyone, as I do think it has saved my 13 year old doberman's life. She could hardly breath, she had thick mucus coming from her eyes and had to have steroid cream 2x a day, she could not hold her urine and was drinking bowls of water and having accidents because she could not hold it. She was loosing all the strength in her legs, so could not even squat to urinate. Her coat was dull and dry. 6 months later. Wow!! A beautiful Speciman! She and her sister love their food. I even buy Elizabeth's raw Sardines and grind them in my food processor. I do not know what I would do without Marin Raw, as I did find out that the company I was buying from Blue Ridge Beef, Lily's Advantage....Santa Cruz. Shipped to me, however, they have a rendering facility. (Not regulated - basically a place where they dispose of animals that are diseased and die). Do not listen to your veterinarians. Liz changed my dog's life. My dog has been suffering from food intolerance, allergies and bowel disease her whole life. It got so bad she lost 20 lbs, her fur was falling out, completely itchy all over. Vets were prescribing all kinds of meds that were making her sicker. My dog and I stopped in today to Marin raw, never been in before so we were going in to ask questions and hopefully walk out with some good food for Mr Oliver. Well that didn't happen. As we walked up to the store her dog was in I'm assuming her car "Marin raw" License plate, her dog starts barking so she closes her car up all While on the phone, we walk Inside and look around her other dog was inside a sweet dog and was playing a big with Oliver again she was still On the phone. I Finally sat down on her bench inside and her dog jumped up totally fine with me but she comes in takes him off me and puts him in her car, again all While on the phone. At this point we were there for 15 minutes never did she say hello or give me a minute or I will be right with you, she ignored us the entire time all While on the phone. Either she is on the spectrum and doesn't know how to talk to people or she's genuinely like that and has no clue. Basically scolded me, talked down on me, and told me my cat was dehydrated and would get sick (over feeding cat wet n not dry food, I feed her both) What the actual heck, I was in here for 5 minutes and her demeanor is absolutely unpleasant. The owner gaslights you into buying her food. My pup and I woke up excited to get some treats from her at the market. When we got there, I told her about our struggles with food allergies and sensitivities and she rolled her eyes. She proceeded to tell us that food allergies were not real. Then when I looked at her packaging, some of the foods said the opposite such as "good for food allergies, great for dogs with sensitive stomachs." Then she also started pulling out more of the food she made. I was genuinely curious about her food and getting help for my pup, because I want my pup to be healthy. So I was totally open to hearing her opinions. However she was condescending the entire time, and didn't want to listen to what I said because I bought kibble and went to the vet. Then she told us her dog (who was also at the market saying hi to other dogs) was unvaccinated because she only believed in her healthy food.
