We've bought his treats at the South Farmers Saturday Market as he's there in Spring/Summer with his booth. I've seen he does salads too, but haven't done one yet, but Judy has had them for work events and says they're really good. We got a B-Day gift for our daughters BF and got 5 varieties. Beautifully aligned in a vibrant array of colors. Not only do they look incredible, but they taste out of this world too! With so many great flavors to choose from, I had to go for a variety pack, and every single macarons was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the texture was perfect... Light, crisp shells loaded with flavorful fillings. Besides their macarons, they also offer a variety of lunch bowls, sandwiches, and weekly salad specials. During peak hours, it can get busy however the efficiency of the staff masters the challanges excellent. I'm the few times I have been, the wait has never been long even if the lane was long. So, If you're looking for a sweet treat with great service, Sweet Caribou is definitely worth a visit! *** As always translated to German for all our world travelers *** Sweet Caribou ist der hippe Ort, um Deine Lust auf Macarons zu stillen!

It's just a cute place to vibe at and be around the community. There is a coffee shop, plant shop, juice shop and small market in the same building which makes it worth the stop. The seasonal ginger bread chia tea from the coffee shop is like Christmas in your mouth. The turkey sandwich is like thanksgiving with cranberry sauce and pecans. The sweet potato burban cupcake was actually to die for. The cake was moist with a carm filling of pecans and bourbon topped with a light cream cheese frosting. I'm never disappointed with fire island. A jem in anchorage.

The sausage was good though, and a bit salty, which might have balanced the seasoning in this item but the chunks were too few and big to be balanced. - messy egg salad sandwich: a lot of dill, heavy on the pickled flavor, and good red onion crunch. This was just ok. It looked better than it tasted, unless you're a fan of dill. Mainly got this sandwich to try their bread but the bread was an afterthought. - maple rhubarb muffin: hard pass. Can't taste the rhubarb and barely any maple. The bottom also was more burnt than anything. It seems they may have over mixed their batter, muffin didn't have a tender crumb.

But if your like me, and you like mom and pop restaurants and are willing to wait for the real thing- you're in for a treat. I ordered several varieties of dimsum all great; a scallion pancake - terrible, don't recommend and an INCREDIBLE spicy Eggplant entree. It was out of this world. I probably would trip an old lady for it, it was that good.

When I first discovered this restaurant a year and a half ago, it was quaint and quiet and the food was delicious. I give 3 stars because I could see that the staff was overwhelmed with one large table and some pick up orders. That's fine....I assumed they were playing catch up....the problem I had was the attitude, as if I was bothering them by being there...and the food, Mongolian Chicken, which once it came out 35 mins later, tasted like it was 2 days old, heated up in the microwave. With the amount of money they, and all restaurants, are charging for dinner $25 to $40 with tip....I expect the quality to be the best that it can be. That's not to say that maybe it was a bad night....but now I'm hesitant to go back because I'm disappointed in the quality of food, service and overall experience.

I would say my steak would have given Whiskey and Ramen a run for their money. A true medium rare and juicy. Nearly tender enough to cut with a fork. The Scallops. I don't usually care for scallops but I will say there was a perfect sear and they were not over cooked. Sweet Potato Gnocchi was really good and the Gorgonzola Sauce was balanced flavorful and I will be trying to replicate it soon. My son enjoyed a flank steak, delicious, a good sear and just enough lime to enhance the experience. We skipped the desserts I have to address the prices which are ridiculously low. I do think some of the items were on the pricier side for what you are receiving as well as considering it's a student run lab, and not an operating restaurant. Although the restaurant is in more of a cafeteria setting thru do a very nice job of making it feel more high end with their table settings & fresh florals. The students are also dressed very professionally, and the menu is a great selection of higher end items. My favorite part of the meal were the desserts (Lady Palmer & Black cherry chocolate cake). They were exemplary quality, and I feel were restaurant ready. For our entrees I ordered the duck breast, and black cod. I really enjoyed the basil & pea puree that came with the cod, and for the duck breast I thought it was seasoned well though I would've preferred it a little less well done. For appetizers I ordered prawn fritters & a bread plate. I really enjoyed the different components of the bread plate; my favorite being the whipped honey feta. The fritters were tasty, but I wish they had more prawn pieces in them. This restaurant is a learning experience for the students so you should not go into this meal expecting 5 star perfection, but it's a great way to get involved in helping to educate the culinary students in a real life setting. The meal includes comment cards that they ask you fill out, which will really help the students improve. Lucy's was a very fun & unique experience, and I hope to be able to get a reservation again next year!
