They have a fantastic fabric selection, including all the designer fabrics I love. There's a huge variety of batiks, solids, high-quality threads, and quilting supplies. The classroom is spacious, and they offer great classes. I especially love their long-arm rental program. After taking the certification class, I was able to rent the machine for the day--I've finished up to three quilts in a single session! They even have a break room where you can bring your lunch, which makes for a comfortable and productive day. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful--they really make you feel right at home. This is my go-to quilting place now!

My Fiber Arts group went together on a "field trip" to explore. They have all kinds of fabrics, kits, & curated bundles of fat quarters for quilting. Everything is so well thought out, presented, and displayed. I know a bunch of my friends who are going to want to move in & "live" there. It is around in the rear of a shopping center, so as you turn in from Benfield Rd, go all the way back past the string if restaurants and stores and around the rear corner. So I stopped in during my lunch break on a mission to find just the right fabric for a wedding quilt I'm sewing for a dear family member. This shop is really, really cute! They carry mostly modern fabrics, plus a ton of knitting/crocheting supplies. In the back is a classroom area, and they have lots of project samples, notions, and one of the best selection of sewing books I've seen. The best news is: I found the perfect fabric for the wedding quilt! And I had just enough space in my suitcase to get it home and start cutting. Highly recommend this little shop if you're in the area and on a hunt for some new fabric!

It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

Now there are two near me and I had to check it out. First as a VIP member I had to return a pair of shoes within 90 days of purchase. This was my first time after many purchases and it was no hassle at all!!! I expected some hassle but the staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. I like the store ... clean and great layout. A chance to feel clothes I've heard so much about ... I wear orthotic as a preventative to injury and they have a new custom made quickie orthotic that is price competitive to my off the shelf (dr schols at cvs) inserts. Gonna check it out. At my last visit in August, I waited a while before an associate assisted me with a scan to do an assessment of which type of shoes I should purchase, stability or neutral. I requested that the scan be emailed to me, but it never was. Over the last week or two, I tried calling to request it. I tried calling closer to closing thinking it would be lighter for them to assist me. The line went unanswered after many rings. This week, I decided to call at 10 a.m. this past Monday when they open. Cerise answered and put me on hold for 12 minutes. I hung up and called again. She said it was busy and got my info and said she would return my call in 15 minutes. 15 minutes came and went. It's now Friday and still no call. I even left a voicemail later this week. The automated system said calls are returned in 24 hours. Apparently that is false. I decided to go into the store at opening and finally got what I needed. Shawn, the manager, was friendly and helpful. Two recommendations I have is that they need to hire more staff and do a better job of answering the phone and returning calls. I gave them three stars because the service when I am in the store is exceptional.
