I've been to a similar shop like this back home in Los Angeles (Remainders in Pasadena for those interested) and now that I live in Baltimore and remain a frequent crafter (sewist, knitter, and general hobbyist), I was delighted to find out this shop existed. I've been on the hunt for some cheap supplies, specifically a pinback button machine as this is around $50-60 new online and since I'm using funds from the school club I'm in to buy it; this felt excessive. Unfortunately they didn't have this machine and apparently only have ones in stock like this once in a while as they tend to go fast. Not deterred, I kept exploring the rest of the shop. Price wise, this place is THE best craft store you can and should stop into before going elsewhere to see if they have supplies you could use. You name it; they have it or have had it in the past. Supply varies as they depend on donations but with some supplies I bought costing just a quarter, I truly cannot be mad. They had yarn, paper supplies, knitting supplies, beadwork items, sewing supplies including patterns and zippers and sewing feet, stationary and scrapbook/journaling supplies. I absolutely recommend any crafters on a budget to come out here. read more

I absolutely love this place! It's such a gem and a unique experience. Everyone who works there is so nice, welcoming and helpful if you have any questions on anything. The last time I was there, they had just received a bunch of new items and it was so refreshing to see how excited, passionate and enthusiastic everyone was to go through the supplies. I say this because this is the kind of place that you can go to fairly frequently and never know what you're going to find! My only piece of advice is to go in generallllly knowing what you're looking for, or give yourself a realistic budget because it's so easy to get caught up and buy an overwhelming amount! I have been a fan of this spot for some time. It used to be on S. Charles St. What I like about this spot is it resource to sale used art and craft items like paint, fabric, buttons and so on. No need to throw out those unused wedding or birthday items. Today's haul I was able to find a mini pin cushion, bracelet, batting, paint and a Halloween witch hat all under $10. This is by far one of my favorite places in all of Maryland!!! Who wouldn't love a shop that helps reduce the amount of trash that goes into landfills - I mean come on!!! This store is full of beads, yarn, string, fabric, old CDs, wine corks, paint, stickers...I can go on and on but this is a place you need to check out on your own! Remember, this store exists because of donations and it was created to make sure materials get reused instead of thrown in the trash. There is something for everyone but you have to go there when you have time and when you are willing to look through materials. It is well organized and you can fine things easily if you know the topic you are looking for - looking for yarn? There's an entire area dedicated to yarn! What about stamps? I really like the idea of the store. However, there isn't a lot of the craft materialls that I use and there used to be a lot more.

I love it here. If. you are an artist, or simply want to do a fun little afternoon craft, this is the place to be. It has everything you could want from paint to fabric to buttons and ink, all for very cheap. Everything in the store is used and then donated, but all in pretty good condition (i.e. a tube of paint that is half full) and reasonably priced. The workers are volunteers, I believe, and very, very friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're in BMore. read more

I just started sewing this last month and I am SO happy I found this place. Went in after work and spent over an hour perusing the store. The staff were kind and friendly. This is a great secondhand craft supply store that could get super dangerous if I spend too much time here. If you follow the Facebook page they announce special sales and promotions!! They have a ton of yarn and knitting supplies, fabric, and scrapbook supplies. Occasionally they have bigger supplies like sewing machines and they will mention them on the website. Street parking is available and there are places you can park without paying. Don't park in the dollar general lot because people have been towed in the past. read more

SCRAP B-More is an absolute delight. It feels like the only place in America where $5 actually gets you somewhere. My fiancée is a huge crafter and we always hold our breath when we get to the register because she always come to check out with two bags brimming of craft supplies and then it will be like, $30. You never know what you may find at SCRAP and if you're a crafty person visiting Baltimore, it's seriously worth checking out. Even if you aren't, I would suggest going in to take a look. Scrap B-More is a great little craft store in Fed Hill. Actually a non-profit, they take donated craft items to resell, thus saving them from a landfill. They have lots of fabric, but the entire store is worth exploring as they have items for craft projects of every sort. From marbles to picture frames to greeting cards, rulers, and tools, they have stuff you didn't even know you were looking for. We picked up a pair of pinking shears which we didn't even remember we needed until we saw them. It can get a bit musty if you're spending any appreciable time in there, but you should definitely check this place out. read more

SCRAP B-More is hands down my favorite place to kill some time. Although it's a small store, it's pack to the brim with just about every craft supply you could possibly need (and plenty that you don't need, but want to buy anyway). The amazingly low prices make trying a new craft super accessible. You can go on what feels like a total shopping spree, but spend only $30 at the same time! My favorite section of the store is the $2 fill a bag fabric scraps. There are new fabrics in that bin every day, and I love using them to practice my sewing skills and experiment with some scrappy quilting designs. As someone who has always lived in suburbs, I was also worried about finding parking based on what I saw on Google maps, but there is plenty of street parking, as it is right on the edge of a residential neighborhood. Last but not least, the staff is so friendly! They are so encouraging and knowledgeable about so many different materials. I never feel awkward trying to explain my projects to them, because they are so enthusiastic about helping and learning about your passions. read more

This store is adorable! I have recently been back into crafting to loading up on supplies have been anything but cheap lol. Then comes in scrap, it's a cute little shop full of all the things you didn't know you needed until you see it. It's not the most organized place but they run on donations and things are in areas.. looking for buttons? There are whole bins of them. Need construction paper? The table to the left has piles of it! This is not the place you come looking for a specific item for a specific project, but come here if your looking for a new project to find you. read more

Like a thrift store for crafts! This store is very quaint and cute and the prices are unbeatable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the place is absolutely adorable. They have everything from thread to stamps to pipe cleaners to sewing patterns, and everything is incredibly affordable. Everything they have had been donated, so it's a great way to keep items out of landfills. I'd recommend Scrap to any type of creative or crafty person. Looking forward to returning! read more

i LOVE this place! if you are an artist, teacher, hobbyist or a creative newbie, SCRAP (or any 'creative reuse' center) is an excellent resource. art supplies can be SO expensive, even with the coupons and sales. creative reuse centers are kind of like thrift shops for art supplies, but way better. of course it's kind of a crap shoot of what is available, but i've always encountered a wide range of materials and mediums in any of these sorts of places i've checked out. i happened to be driving past this one on my way home from baltimore and with only 20 minutes to closing figured i could at least sneak a peek at this place. they couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating by letting me poke around despite it being closing time. i was able to pick up a number of items that saved me a trip to michaels, stoked to find a selection of vintage sewing notions, amazing noro yarn skeins and bolts of metallic fabrics for a steal! Creative reuse centers enable more people to try their hand at a new hobby or express themselves creatively- i just love this place and the people who run it are absolutely wonderful so i am taking the time to write a good hearty review in hopes that it will encourage people to go check it out and support this business. The shop is in a safe area and is not difficult to find. it's clean, organized, and very welcoming, and if you've shopped in a big chain or fine art store before, at check out you'll find the prices here to be affordable and very reasonable, or in my case, i was about to do cartwheels on my way out!! read more

Very enthusiastic woman at the counter greeted everyone who entered with such mirth that just listening to her exhausted me. This place is a great idea for creatives and recyclers. Because of the constantly changing inventory, you never know what you'll find! This was my second visit, and not my last, as I returned today to get the brass wire and metal alphabet stamps that I saw yesterday!!! Plus I found other jewelry-related supplies that I snatched up - all for under $20. It's a tight space and more lighting would be appreciated but it's a non-profit so you get what you get! This is a really neat place, great idea. My kids love doing crafts so I was very excited to bring them here. They enjoyed themselves and got some new things to do crafts with. A lot of stickers. There are some good finds here but there is also a lot of stuff tbat you can find in your home recycle bin. There were some stuff that were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. For me that was a bit off putting. But this is a clever idea for a store and a fun activity to do with the kids. read more

Unique: this place is like a yard sale but for craft supplies (yarn, beads, fabric, paper etc.). Great source for cards, gift bags, wrapping paper, & ribbon. The wacky proprietress is super friendly and helpful and suggested several items which I will enjoy. Most things are in good or excellent condition. Very tempted by some nice handmade necklaces ($3-6). Insanely cheap prices, and it feels good to reuse things that would otherwise go to the landfill. I checked this store out on a recent visit to Baltimore. What a wonderful concept of salvaging craft supplies for reuse. It had everything for low prices. The personnel were very friendly and helpful and gave us information about what the had accomplished in their first year of business. Love this place... one person's trash (random crayons or leftover tile for example) is another person's treasure! Also great place to pick up something to keep your little one busy during lunch at a neighboring restaurant. Bought random stickers my 4 yr old loved for 25c.
