More than just a grocery store! I really like this place. before it opened all i was hearing was that it was a great place but expect to pay top dollar. Couldnt f been more wrong. The prices are competetive with everyone else. They have thier more expensive organic foods but their more wexpensive everywhere. I really like that you can get a steak straight from the butcher and have the guy grill it up right there as well. I oftern eat there. Dont often hear that about a grocery strore. Gelato, sushi, smotthie bar are a couple of the other attractions. They even have a guy playing the piano near the registers. not sure why but its differant. Im in! read more

This is my least favorite of the Mariano's stores. I love Palatine and Arlington Heights stores but the Hoffman Estates store seems to have a different products and service. I know for certain their bakery items are different or stale. Oh well I will just go to my favorite location. read more

I shop at Marianos on a daily basis. My kids love their gelatos. I am always greeted and offered help. A lot of businesses now lack customer service, but I have to say Marianos does a great job. My favorite part of the store to go to the deli. My family and take sanwhiches for luch. The team is great, but there are two who stand out the most. Ron and Danny. They are extremely professional and do a great job slicing my meats and cheeses. *Ususally I have to come home and straighten it rightaway, otherwise i am unable to peel and my cheese just tares. Extremely frustrating for me. They always have a smile on their face and my children seem to take to them as well. Great job guys. read more

I love their selection. It's a lot better than other grocery stores in the area. If you are going there, the smoothie bar is a must! I only gave them four stars because their prices are higher than other stores on some items and when I got a salad from their salad bar there was a dead bug in it. read more

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Stay far away from this place. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal fatigue, which means my diet is extremely restricted. No gluten, no soy, no dairy and no sugars. I've spent hours upon hours researching brands, grocery stores and everything in between. Needless to say I spent 3 hours at this Mariano's for my first "big" grocery trip. I had registered online, downloaded the app and clipped my coupons to create my grocery list. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT APPARENTLY THEY DONT HONOR THEM! So I asked for a price match on the items that were in my cart on my phone to the items that I was going to purchase. I even offered to do the work myself because I knew I had savings and I wanted to calculate it correctly (the one girl clearly didn't understand what price matching was.) After much back and forth with 3-4 incredibly unaccommodating, unprofessional and incompetent employees; obviously because I offered 3-4 suggestive work around solutions... and they looked at me like deer's in the headlights. To which one of them even replied with "That's not my problem." (His response to me being there for so long. I left my entire cart. I left empty handed and hungry. I left defeated, astonished angry and disappointed. Also they're AWFUL at restocking. When I was shopping the produce area was abismal, and i saw one guy restocking 1 area for the 3 hours I was there. I tried Mariano's, but this first time was the absolute last time. In being someone who is a leader of business in the retail world. I'm appalled at the lack of common courtesy shown to customers. I'm embarrassed to be pooled in the same genre of being in retail with people like yours; it's a disgrace. Most of all the culture in this store is inadequately trained, and it is noticeable. Get new people. Learn how to handle a business. Run it efficiently. Or it might be easier to just light a match. read more

It's clean, and more upper-class than Jewel or Valli Produce, and the staff are young but friendly. Some items are over-priced, but you get quality selections. We like the atmosphere. read more

A few things. For what they have its always good quality but I've found that they are really whitebread in their products. I asked for Kohlrabi and they informed me that they didn't have it and wouldn't. Their chocolate Croissants are bathed in icing and are basically inedible and their products are somewhat limited in their scope ( ie I can't find Solo fruit fillings). Like Dominick's, which they purportedly are better, they really don't listen to their customers. Like all stores they have good and bad and I still have to go to other stores for much of my products read more

The place is clean and well organized. Fresh seafood, we love shopping here. Highly recommended

Where do I start.... I really like the chicken and dumpling soup there so I decided to drop in there for lunch as I was in the area. As I was standing at the soup station ladling my soup into the cup I was observing a store employee stocking the plastic containers at the fresh fruit salad bar when he dropped 5-6 of the lids on the floor....... I waited in anticipation of him picking up the lids and discarding them but alas he placed the dirty floor contaminated lids back with the clean lids. At the time this happened an employee filling the napkins at the soup station I was at and I informed him that the lids were dropped on the floor then placed back with the clean ones by the other employee. The response from the other employee was "That's not good" then he walked away with out doing anything to address the contaminated containers. Out of concern I felt obligated to tell someone in "management" about the situation so I went to the service desk and the nice woman told me she would have "Chris from management" come talk to me. Along came "Chris" and it was the same employee that was filling the napkins that I had told about the incident a few minutes prior. I had informed the "manager on duty" that one of his employees had contaminated the containers that people place their fresh fruit in from the salad bar and his response had been "that's not good" and did nothing to protect the consumer. "Chris" came up to me and asked if he could help me and I reminded him that I spoke to him minutes earlier and he should have done something.... He explained he was new and would go take care of it now.... I reminded him that 10 minuets have passed and now people are walking around with fruit in containers with all types of nasty public floor, (15 feet from a public bathroom) filth in their fruit/salad containers. I informed him this was quite disconcerting and left the store...... You have all been warned and informed. Best of luck! read more

Worst deli ever! Every weekend it takes 30+minutes to get what you want. People waiting are pissed and there's employees behind the counter "stocking" thingsl they need 2xs the people working! Question is where is the manager to deal with this!!?! read more

I love Mariano's to shop at... but this location is not run very well. There is always, always, always, an insane wait at the deli counter... on a weekend you could wait for an hour!!! No joke. Store manager should really be worried about the customer experience more. read more

I was uber excited to check this place out due to the overwhelming buzz about it, but I was kinda smacked in the face when I walked in. Seems like they need another couple hundred square footage. Try bringing a cart into the produce department and it was like the Kennedy at 6PM on a Friday. Otherwise, it just felt like every aisle was tight and there were like 4-5 other people always within arms reach of me. I suppose being busy isn't their fault, but cramming so much into that side of the store with the bakery, produce, deli, smoothies, gelato.. by the time I got to the other end of the store it was freakin ghost town. I just went to look around and spent $170... so I'm a bad judge of prices. My wife says they are competitive or better than say the Super Target we frequent. But I can do donuts with my shopping cart at Target.. I'd be lucky to pull off a three point turn at Mariano's. Booya! read more

Generally excellent yet understaffed at the meat/deli counter. It took them 15 min to go thru 2 customers! While a line of 8-9 people formed. Two employees just hung out and chatted while 2 others were trying to assist the customers. I could have them my entire shopping whilw waiting gor my number to come up read more

Excellent hot bar, bakery, fresh foods. Love the cheese selection. Good prices. Just beware of peak hours, can be very crowded. But, we like it! read more

I live close by, I shop here alot, but do not really like how the cashiers are not really much about greeting, but always busy talking with their baggers. Also, the very young cute girl at the smoothy stand is not so nice, no smile. Too bad.. read more

too pricey. nice environment, but they try too hard. with how they have a terribly high prices makes them seem very stuck up. and the "traffic service" they pay for on barrington is annoying and unnecessary. read more

I was so disappointed in the bakery at this location. I had ordered a cupcake platter for my daughter's baby shower and when I called the store yesterday to inquire about the order I had found out that the order I thought I had placed was totally different. Because the shower was set to start in an hour after the scheduled pick up I just went on my merry way. I did not argue the point and was pressed for time. But the young man who I spoke to on the phone knew that the order had been messed up and did not even offer me any type of discount. I took my cupcakes home and people commented that they were cute and tasted good but they were not what I had ordered. Sorry Mariano's at this location you have lost my business and I will tell this story to anyone who asks. read more

I am a senior citizen with a lot of physical challenges. Some of these involve my neck and shoulders. While I really enjoy the products at this store, I will have to say the employees show absolutely no regard for your patronage. I have been reassured by managers for months now that they will train their employees how to pack bags lightly. I get to the car and nearly injure myself many times even though I request it every time. I do not recommend this store for anyone with special needs. read more

I called to order a dozen cupcakes without 24 hours in advance, but Cristine , bakery's manager was able to accommodate me and deliver the customer service they always promise. Thanks Cristine, my cupcakes were delicious and I am happy that you went the extra mile this time. I will try to call you at least 24 hours before so your job cab be easier. Saidy read more

There is literally no better grocery store than this place. The juice bar is awesome! The food is always fresh and the options are incredible. The fresh made food is dope. The bakery rocks. The ethnic food options and spices far beats any place else I've ever tried. Even way better than Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. read more

I love this place. it's my go to for lunch. can't wait for the one to open by my house in aurora.

We are regular customers with Mariano's latest loyalty program. Yesterday we had less than pleasant experience at checkout counter with less than 15 items. Our cashier JM looked very upset when we walked to her and no greetings. She scanned our items and I realized the phone number didn't go thru to make the sale items priced effectively. When I brought that up to her attention, she lost her cool and told me you are the one who entered the number and she will use her card this time - in a very condescending tone. My family felt very humiliated. Even with our items still waiting to be picked up by her side, she started scanning next customer with shaking her head. I hope they get better customer interface... read more

Great selection and prices, the Vero cafe is great for a quick breakfast but the deli is always slow as a snails pace. I've come in, grabbed a number and only been 5th in line, finished my shopping, and still have to stand and wait for my number to be called. The problem seems to be the unmotivated deli reps and the very small number that work during peak hours (2 people at 7pm). I get trying to save money but there's usually close to 10 people standing around waiting every night! Still, I prefer shopping here overall so it doesn't hurt them too bad. read more

I really love the atmosphere of every Mariano's I've been to so far. The first one I went to near Mt. Prospect during the summertime also had some great customer service - one of the grocers went out of their way randomly to let me try their PLUMS, what the?! Who gets offered to try the produce at supermarkets randomly? He even said he'd be right back so he could wash one of the plums for me, haha. When I went recently though to this one in H.E. it was hard to find their olives though - even the worker who was helping me had a hard time finding them. That was surprising, since it always seems like every grocer I talk to usually knows where every single item is in the whole store (they amaze you sometimes, no?!). My only other slight issue with their rewards card is that you redeem points just to get a holiday ham - what if you're a vegetarian (I'm not, but still?), or how about just getting a discount of your total bill of like 10% or something during a visit? Just working towards getting a holiday ham doesn't lure me into spending more money there for the rewards card. Otherwise, I love Mariano's - it reminds me of a Whole Foods but with more reasonable prices :). read more

I like Marianos, and every week I pass 3 or 4 grocery stores to come here and shop. I think the quality of food I get is good & the prices are reasonable. It doesn't hurt that they have an awesome bakery- LOVE the breads, the deli line usually moves pretty quickly, they have a good variety of produce (including organic). Love the liquor department- they have a great selection. I'm also a fan of the floral department, I've gotten many compliments on the displays I've picked up here. Also as a treat, I like to get a smoothie on my way out. I think Marianos stomps on Jewel (and the now defunct Dominicks) It's not as hipster as Whole Foods, and I think I get better quality here than the Super Target by my house. Sometimes I decide to spice it up and go somewhere else... and almost instantly I remember why I prefer Marianos. The one annoyance I have is the parking lot. They layout isn't great-- and getting out can be a PITA, which I think is why they usually have cops directing traffic. read more

There is much to like here. Great service. Well stocked produce, meat section, an outstanding deli & bakery, and a huge variety of ready to eat food & drink. It's a tad pricy but that is to be expected. The biggest room for improvement is the mall they're in; poorly laid out & parking is inadequate. There might have been room to reconfigure the parking lot, but the city fathers allowed a Goodwill store into the mall. An odd choice near an upscale food store. Mariano's is worth enduring these obstacles, nevertheless. read more

The first I've heard of Mariano's and I'm very impressed when I first walked in. The bakery is beautiful and has an exquisite selection. The cupcakes are delicious!! I tried the vanilla frosted M&M's cupcake and a very chocolate cupcake with chocolate drizzle with chocolate frosting inside. So good! and they are a little large than a usual cupcake. There are also cakes, donuts, bagels, etc. Also, they have dinner items as well. The buffalo wings are delicious, spicy and not spicy. I gave four stars because, most of the organic food are more expensive than Whole Foods. We all know Whole Foods is already expensive! The non-og items are fairly priced and cheaper than Whole Foods. I guess you have to shop a little careful. Still worth going. Great atmosphere as well. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite stores. Although, i got help from a guy with red hair in produce, he had an attitude with me.

Mariano's management knows the meaning of the words customer satisfaction. The store is great, but like any other I have had a couple of minor issues that were quickly addressed by a manager or department head. The results and solutions were fabulous. When an item I purchased at the store got damaged on the way home because of poor packing skills by the bagger, a manager was quick to the rescue delivering a new item to me in record time, along with a sincere apology and a gift card. I have never ever had another store with the same level of customer satisfaction as Mariano's. Well Done guys & girls :) read more

Thanks to Mark in the butcher shop from the crazy Christmas Eve prime rib lady. Thanks for being so helpful, patient and knowledgeable when it comes to the meat you sell. You are an asset to the company you work for and they should be glad to have you. Thanks again read more

Pretty much everything under 1 roof. Mariano's @ 2575 W Golf Rd is very close to my place. I visit here almost 3-4 times a week.

This used to be a great store, but since it was bought out by Kroger, there doesn't seem to be enough help to provide adequate customer service. I asked a couple of employees what was going on and all they could say was that staff and hours have been cut by Kroger. So sad, isn't this what happened to Dominick's when Safeway took over? read more

Yum, I love this place!! Where do I start?! Produce- there is a great selection of organic and nonorganic choices. Its affordable too! I feel in love with the Kale, swiss chard, etc selection. Sushi- awesome! So delicious and fresh. It can be made to order, eaten in store or there are some grab and go selections as well. There are some many delicious choices that you won't know what to pick! Bakery- amazing! I picked out a bunch of small treats to take to a friends house and was not disappointed by any of them. Of course I made them split them up and sample them all;) I especially like the lemon cream square cake! Cheese- Oh the assortment! I picked a variety of these to go to my friends house and was in heaven. I especially like the wine soaked goat cheese and the Black River gorgonzola. The latter of the two is soft and creamy. Alcohol- The beer selection is good and you will find everything from Shandy to a good IPA. There are plenty of wines to choose from too. Perfect for your cheese(red) and sushi(sake). Smoothies- Finish up (or start) your shopping experience with a delicious smoothie. They are made with simply fruit and vegetables and a little coconut water. My boys had one today and I am sure that I will never get out of there again without buying them another one! read more

I love this supermarket! It's clean, organized, and welcoming. Coffee shop and ice cream shop are really good too!

This store has the absolute worst deli service ever. You would think on the day or two before Christmas they would have more than a couple of people working. Literally it took 45 min & then just left & went to Jewel down the road. I've been coming to this store for 2 years & every week it continues to get worse. I'm done shopping here & my business goes elsewhere!! read more

Great store! Good selection of organic produce, amazing dessert and yummy sushi, also good soups.

Great store, but I find that prepared foods, specifically the chicken, tends to be way too salty. I tried again just recently after many attempts when they first opened and the result was the same. Prepared chicken and prepped chicken to cook at home....both are way over-salted. read more
