Craving savory empanadas, your search stops here! Their empanadas are delicious! Their fillings are so good and flavorful while keeping the dough soft and flakey. They have lots of indoor/outdoor seating. Not sure if they have WiFi but looks like a nice coworking place and or a place to watch soccer. Dog friendly patio.

The line to order and their World Cup specials

Great vibes, we stopped by during a World Cup match and they had TV's out ready to go. There's a World Cup menu too, get their specials! I didn't have anything as I was waiting to get dinner a little later but my friend wanted to order an empanada they didn't yet have ready so he got a different one instead. We sat down to watch the game and after he finished his empanada, they brought out the original one he asked for at no charge bc it was finally ready. It was soooo sweet and completely unnecessary, they just went above and beyond bc they wanted to. I recommend this place wholeheartedly and the vibes are great for World Cup matches. Just a bunch of good people all around here - staff and patrons

The Argentina Empanada...Excellent!

I've been going to Maria Empanada at least 5 years now. I never realized that there were 4 other ones, and they're all 4+ Stars. The Empanadas are excellent, and the staff can tell them apart by the script on them. I have no idea what it could be... They usually do 2 Empanadas that are new and about a dozen others. Last time it was a Sweet BBQ Beef & an Italiano. This time it's an excellent Miso Steak & a Corn & Mexican Cheese one. Every Empanadas I've had from there for 5 years, has been just like the ones before. So you'll never have to worry about consistency. And since I saw that there's 5 total & they all have excellent reviews, proves my point even better. The ambience is really homie for an empanada place. They have a big espresso machine, outdoor seating and indoor seating. Inside is maybe 3 separate rooms with a TV viewable from every room!

After eating lunch yesterday this neighborhood gem was across the street. I wanted something to take home and eat for a snack later. I'm a stickler for beef so I bought their types of beef they have and went for a fruit one, their pear and a ham and cheese. That one would be great for breakfast but I ate it when I returned home as I couldn't wait.

Stopped in for a small bite on our way to another event and was not disappointed! A bacon, egg, and cheese empanada is just what the morning called for. This was an absolutely delicious treat. Service was quick and around $5 for a breakfast nosh, can't beat it! Having been to the one in Stanley Marketplace, I can't wait to revisit Maria Empanada on Broadway again!

We were just exploring Broadway and decided to stop in to Maria empanada, because we wanted a little snack, but not a heavy meal. Their menu is stacked, the names of each empanada are unique, I can't remember which one I went with by name, but it was chicken inside, and I got it with the garlic cilantro Crema. It was so delicious.! I almost went back and got another one. But instead, I tried their pistachio alfanores which was also super yummy and rich. Totally will come back to try more empanada varieties!

Plastic inside a corn cotija empanada

Ordered a dozen empanadas, one (corn cotija) had a plastic chunk in it and another (miso) had a huge chunk of bone...

what shocked me about this place was not just the cute ambiance, but HOW SWEET the server at the counter was!! Felt like he's trying to build a community. A very cute spot to work from home, close to a gas station and other restaurants - cozy inside. They also offer coffee and PASTRIES Empanadas are mediumly priced at 6 each - I'm fine with it because the whole experience is fun. Great musical playlist in here too. It's like I'm transporting to another world

Stopped in for a quick to-go breakfast order between errands on a Saturday. Maria Empanada has plenty of options, and on this day, they had a new flavor: Bacon, Egg, & Cheese. It was filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, thick-cut bacon, a gooey blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, tomato, onion, and a touch of jalapeño. This empanada packed a ton of flavor, and I hope they keep it on the menu! Located on the NE corner at the intersection of S. Broadway and Louisiana, look for the bright golden sun painted on the side of the building. There is plenty of seating inside and patio seating on nice days. Walk up to the counter display to place your orders with the friendly employees who are happy to help or answer any questions you might have.

Quickly writing aboit Maria's new flavor! Sweet BBQ far exceeded my expectations. This place is my go-to location of Maria E and each time I go here there is absolutely no disappointment or whatsoever. And I was surprised by a new flavor at my most recent visit there just yesterday and it is Sweet BBQ! I almost always get a few empanadas when I go to Maria E's and along with this new face, I got me one of my go-to's, Potato and Egg (I like their vegetarian options a lot.) And yet, this Sweet BBQ truly shocked me. In a way, it beat the Potato and Egg far exceedingly. The sweet bbq sauce that marinated the meat had the perfect sweetness. And the sauce was just the right amount where it didn't overpower the meat. The store was (as always) spotlessly clean. Service top-notch. There is something special about Maria for sure!

Recently, I visited Buenos Aires for the first time and absolutely loved it! I returned home yesterday and had this strong desire to visit Maria Empanada. So glad this business exists in the greater Denver area. It so reminds me of being back in Argentina and it will inspire me to return again soon. Today I ordered one of their new empanadas, Italiana. It didn't disappoint! I also had my favorite, Argentinian. Always on point! Cappuccino and a small dessert were a nice bookend. I wish Maria would put a location in Castle Rock. Fingers crossed. LOVE this place!!

Very solid empanada and they don't skimp on the filling like some places do! I bet the vibes are fun during world cup matches- we didn't even think to go here during a game but the TV's looked like they were ready to go!

Loved this concept! Store was clean and staff were welcoming and helpful. The empanadas were delicious. We chose to get a 6 pack. They were easy to reheat and were very tasty.

When I calmly asked why we were being refused, instead of receiving an explanation, I was threatened with pepper spray by staff/security. As someone who is used to dealing with high stress situations, I found the interaction especially concerning because this situation never warranted that kind of response. There was no professionalism, no clear communication, and no effort to de-escalate the situation. If you're looking for a place that treats customers with respect and communicates professionally, this was not my experience. Based on how we were treated, I cannot recommend MDE Lounge. Came in for dinner before the Two Feet concert and it got us in the mood for a fun night of laughter, dancing and serious burning of calories. Settled in busy South Broadway area, parking is as good as you can find it. You can go bar hopping and end up here. Or start and stay here nestled in the velvet couches or club chairs. Recently opened, it hasn't been discovered to where you can't get reservations or a spot at the bar. Place starts filling around 8ish and the club atmosphere kicks in around 1030pm. Staff is attentive without being overly helicopter as you dine or drink. Incredible drink selections are amazing with a nice selection of rum. Had the melo cocktail which features avua cachaca, a rum but sure tasted like the strongest tequila fun decision of the night. Babe had the Zona Rosa which is basically a fruit salad with tequila and rum. We ordered the ceviche de chicharrone that has such great flavors with crispy pork belly. Nothing left but a scraped up bowl. Suggest also the empanadas because you can't come here and not taste a staple item. The carne asada is amazing and basically a large slab of nicely grilled meat. LOVE IT!!!! Babe had the hamburguesa paisa which also is a nice slab of beef with bacon topped with pineapple salsa. I wish I could have had room for dessert but my slinky dress didn't cooperate. Next time... I have my eyes on the panna cotta de cafe and cheesecake guava. Looking forward to a return visit with friends. Happy to discover this cool spot opened its doors, has awesome vibes, and stuff that makes you want to get on your feet.

Great dinner at Toro Latin Kitchen with a large group, and everyone left happy…read more We started with the sweet corn empanadas, the clear highlight of the apps, sweet, warm, and perfectly crisp on the outside. Beef tartare was close behind, finely diced and well-seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, the prawns had a nice char, and the Amarillo ceviche brought a bright, citrusy heat from the aji amarillo peppers that balanced beautifully against the cool, tender fish. But the real highlight of the night was the steaks. My skirt steak was cooked perfectly, well-charred outside and tender inside, paired with the potatoes three ways, crispy, creamy, and roasted, each with its own texture and seasoning. Even better was the tomahawk ribeye, flambéed tableside in mezcal, a great bit of theater with a smoky, slightly sweet flame that infused the meat. I got lucky enough to try a bite. Rich, buttery, and delicious with heavy rosemary. A real treat. Service was a bit spotty for our group. I won't go into details, but our server disappeared for long stretches and it took a long time to finally get our entrees. This was likely because of our specific server.
