Food is not made to order. Is reheated to order. Total disappointment. No flavor, no seasoning, nothing fresh.

The one thing I love most about Colfax is the amount of cultural finds you will discover! La Finca is one of those !! Super clean, fun vibes with a large outdoor patio and music, along with amazing, authentic Colombian food, beer and desserts! Highly recommend this place, off the beaten path

The remodel looks great and the back patio could be a summer sensation. The food? Well, we enjoyed the fresh housemade empanadas and bunuelos and mi esposa Colombiana rates the fare as good. It didn't knock our socks off but it did scratch the itch for some Colombian cuisine nearby our house. Service was attentive and the Spanish speaking staff addressed her with respect and professionalism. The empanadas were crispy and fresh but a little heavy - just a touch past the light crispy shell of a perfectly executed dish. The bunuelos repeated the theme - very fresh and spongy inside, but again lacking the sophisticated texture balance of chewy with lightness with well executed Colombian pastry. The best bite was a wonderful pork chicharron, salty and crispy and chewy. Overall, it's a spot to visit if you haven't experienced the tastes of Colombia. Buen provecho!

They try to call this empanadas. NOT. HORRIBLE!!! Never again.

The food took forever. We not ordered a few snacks and the service was so so slow. We almost left.

The…read morestress of the tests and the concerns over memory problems had understandably been making his dad anxious. So, we decided to take him for a relaxing evening for some "home cooking;" his dad is from Colombia. I'd driven by this place for years, always thought it was cute, but never had been in to try it out. Well, the inside is even cuter than the curbside! We were quickly greeted and shown to a table. It was around 8 on a Friday night. The service was just what my friend's dad needed, joking around in Spanish and answering random questions that an older person might have when seeing food they grew up with and hadn't seen in a while... and, then, the food. I'm not familiar with Colombian cuisine, so I wanted to try something traditional. The presentation was sizable and I really like color on a plate. Then, it was flavorful and filling?! YUM. We walked out of the experience laughing and purely delighted at having had a great night in sharing a unique experience. Strongly suggest folks swinging through, when you're in the neighborhood... or, give yourself a special occasion and make a trip!

She soon livened things up and I've been enjoying this charming spot ever since. Tonight's dinner was, unfortunately, a little inconsistent. Our entrées were great and very flavorful, although both were a bit dry and bland. They definitely could have used more of a kick. I had the Puerco Frito (fried pork) which came with garlic mojo, sauteed onion, moro rice (white rice cooked with black beans), and fried yuca. The mojo sauce was very disappointing. It tasted of nothing and seemed to be only a neutral vegetable oil with a bit of garlic. Where was the bitter orange, tangy olive oil, or spice blend? None of these were to be found. Definitely not authentic. However, the pork was still tender and savory, the moro rice was great, and the yuca fries were delicious. I added some of the mango habanero mojo from the appetizer and that pepped up the pork quite a bit. My friend had the Pan con Bistec which is a pressed sandwich on authentic Cuban bread with steak, onions, and [optional] Swiss cheese. The steak was very tender and the sandwich had a good mix of flavors, but again was somewhat bland and dry. The tiny pitcher of chimichurri was only a partial help. She also added some of the garlic mojo from the appetizer. Too bad this was so bland. We started with the Mariquitas. The plantain chips were great. The guacamole was good. The garlic mojo was disappointing as I've mentioned. The mango habanero mojo was better, but had very little spice. I had a Mojito which was awful. Totally unbalanced with too much sugar, too much rum, no taste of lime, and mint that was not muddled properly. Very disappointing. We finished with a very nice flan in a delicious caramel sauce. The staff was extremely gracious and efficient. We sat in the back room of the main building. The night was a bit warm, but the doors were open and we enjoyed a gentle breeze. I've listed a lot of quibbles, but overall we enjoyed our dinners.
