    TRES LECHES
    Karla H.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Denver. We were visiting for a work convening at a hotel nearby and we walked here mainly because of the reviews and the place did not disappoint! It's a super cute small restaurant but with three different seating areas an an outdoor seating space. The food, drinks & dessert were amazing! I particularly enjoyed the empanadas & the salpicon. I ordered the ropa vieja but I think that one needed a little more flavor for my taste. The congri & yuca frita were really great but my favorite was the flan & the tres leches de chocolate! Overall, I highly recommend!

Delicious Cuban food in downtown Denver. Amazing food. Nice Cuban atmosphere. Solid service. Come visit it when you are in downtown Denver

Cool spot we accidentally rolled into about 20 minutes before they closed. Quaint little spot that serves good good. That night I had a Cuban sandwich and it was well prepared. Next time I'll try them at least an hour before closing.

So incredibly delish. Ordered the mariquitas, empanadas and Camerones al Coco. Mash potatoes were divine and balanced the sauce and bright vegetables beautifully. Service was great! A meal you don't want to rush through.

After a long day in meetings downtown we were able to grab a table for a group of 7 of us. The staff was very accommodating as we added the 7th after sitting down. The pitchers were easy to share and a good value. We collectively liked the mojito pitcher better than the margarita. Everyone seemed pleased with their food as well. Would like to try again sometime and get the Cuban sandwich!

I started with the croquetas, and they were perfect. Just like grandma made. Smoky, crispy, and served with a lime wedge for an extra kick. For my entrée, I had the vaca frita. The portion was generous; I couldn't finish it all. The black beans were well-seasoned, and the plantains were plump and sweet. The bonus? They serve Materva. Now all they need is Malta Hatuey and we're set. Overall, it was an authentic experience. I'm looking forward to coming back to try their ropa vieja

Flan - tiny but SO good. I think orange vanilla? Delicious combo.

Came here for my husband's birthday a few weeks ago. I think he had been to either this or another location before and really enjoyed it, and it was my first time. We got a table right away in the larger back room and it had a cute vibe (I loved the feathery overhead lights) - kind of that living roomy restaurant vibe. Our waiter was friendly and answered several questions for us. We just got water here and ordered some empanadas for appetizers. They were pretty good, not amazing, but good for an app. For dinner, I got the ropa vieja (pretty much what I always get at Cuban places) and thought it was great. Nice mixes of flavors, beef cooked well, good rice + beans. For dessert, we shared a small, but amazingly delicious vanilla orange flan. Definitely recommend that - hard to go wrong with flan. Overall enjoyed the meal. Took a star off because the prices are pretty steep here. $27 for ropa vieja seemed a bit high to me although looking back at the place we used to go in CT, their ropa vieja is $25 now so maybe things have just gone up in price and I am still cheap and longing for the prices of 2012. Also I had to use the bathroom during dinner which was downstairs. As I started walking down it smelled *awful* to the point I had to hold my breath. Not sure if it was the bathrooms or some storage area or something but it truly smelled awful to me and I finished as quickly as I could.

Love this cute & quaint home turned restaurant. Staff are pretty chill & welcoming. Cocktails are worth your $$ and food is authentic Cuban and I've had some in Miami. :) Love the Ropa Vieja, Lechon Asado, Mariquitas and Mojo fries. Flavors are rich and pretty filling.

*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW super cute restaurant, knowledgeable & kind staff, and a great meal! (Plus it's minority owned!!) they do have a shared fryer - but provide substitutes as needed, and their entire entree list is gluten free. They don't have any bread substitutes, so no sandwiches/burgers. I got the puerco frito w/ the veggie citrus-jalapeño slaw - DELICIOUS! They also have one GF dessert option: flan. I had to try it (did not add the optional alcohol) and it was amazing. my non-GF friend also enjoyed his meal! I did not get sick:)

I returned to this place and had another amazing experience. Be sure to make reservations on the weekends as it gets very busy or come as soon as the door opens. The staff is very friendly and the food, drinks, and dessert is amazing. There is street parking nearby. I do prefer being here in the summer because they have a option to sit outside. Otherwise the warm food will keep you comfortable during the cold winter months

As a Florida native, I don't order too much Latin food out here. It's not necessarily something I crave anymore. Admittedly, it's tougher to find legit Latin flavors. Well, I was thoroughly impressed with what I tried here! Roasted Pork "Lechon" ($18) // slow roasted berkshire pork shoulder, garlic mojo, pickled onion. This was the most filling bowl of food I've consumed in recent memory. The lechon was tender and flavorful, two ginormous pieces of unctuous, pull apart meat. The tostones were crispy and delicious. Pickled onions balanced the dish, though I was curious with the choice of using rings as opposed to smaller, julienne slices. Rice was yummy, beans just needed some seasoning. Hearty and comforting food right here! It was all so good that I had to stop by the stall later and tell the chef how much I enjoyed it. A little gem right here in Miami...wait...I mean Arvada!!!

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.
