We stumbled in wet and Andre made us feel so comfortable and at ease despite being ready to just about call it a night. The regulars spoke so highly of the place and the food was incredible. I devoured my meal and my 'desert to go' before we left. The black beans are probably the best I've had, and the yuca frita was so good. We returned for dinner with a larger group because the food was so good. Honestly, i kinda wanna open this kitchen in my hometown.

She soon livened things up and I've been enjoying this charming spot ever since. Tonight's dinner was, unfortunately, a little inconsistent. Our entrées were great and very flavorful, although both were a bit dry and bland. They definitely could have used more of a kick. I had the Puerco Frito (fried pork) which came with garlic mojo, sauteed onion, moro rice (white rice cooked with black beans), and fried yuca. The mojo sauce was very disappointing. It tasted of nothing and seemed to be only a neutral vegetable oil with a bit of garlic. Where was the bitter orange, tangy olive oil, or spice blend? None of these were to be found. Definitely not authentic. However, the pork was still tender and savory, the moro rice was great, and the yuca fries were delicious. I added some of the mango habanero mojo from the appetizer and that pepped up the pork quite a bit. My friend had the Pan con Bistec which is a pressed sandwich on authentic Cuban bread with steak, onions, and [optional] Swiss cheese. The steak was very tender and the sandwich had a good mix of flavors, but again was somewhat bland and dry. The tiny pitcher of chimichurri was only a partial help. She also added some of the garlic mojo from the appetizer. Too bad this was so bland. We started with the Mariquitas. The plantain chips were great. The guacamole was good. The garlic mojo was disappointing as I've mentioned. The mango habanero mojo was better, but had very little spice. I had a Mojito which was awful. Totally unbalanced with too much sugar, too much rum, no taste of lime, and mint that was not muddled properly. Very disappointing. We finished with a very nice flan in a delicious caramel sauce. The staff was extremely gracious and efficient. We sat in the back room of the main building. The night was a bit warm, but the doors were open and we enjoyed a gentle breeze. I've listed a lot of quibbles, but overall we enjoyed our dinners.

As a Florida native, I don't order too much Latin food out here. It's not necessarily something I crave anymore. Admittedly, it's tougher to find legit Latin flavors. Well, I was thoroughly impressed with what I tried here! Roasted Pork "Lechon" ($18) // slow roasted berkshire pork shoulder, garlic mojo, pickled onion. This was the most filling bowl of food I've consumed in recent memory. The lechon was tender and flavorful, two ginormous pieces of unctuous, pull apart meat. The tostones were crispy and delicious. Pickled onions balanced the dish, though I was curious with the choice of using rings as opposed to smaller, julienne slices. Rice was yummy, beans just needed some seasoning. Hearty and comforting food right here! It was all so good that I had to stop by the stall later and tell the chef how much I enjoyed it. A little gem right here in Miami...wait...I mean Arvada!!!

I don't know who leaves all those high reviews for this sham of a fake Cuban restaurant. The only…read morething on their entire menu that came even close to Cuban food, especially from Miami was the fried yuca. The non toasted, non cuban bread on their skimpy cuban sandwich was a catastrophe. It upsets me highly as a Cuban from Miami who reveres my incredibly delicious Cuban food, when restaurants claim to be authentic Cuban food but they are nothing but. It brings a bad name to Cuban cuisine around the world. Someone who has never had real Cuban food goes into one of those imposter restaurants snd gets turned off of Cuban food because of their garbage. Update! 6/4/2026. It's so funny. The owner or the manager, whoever, got butt hurt about my opinion of the fake cuban food those imposters serve. He talked a bunch of unprofessional crap instead of listening to customers and stepping up their piss poor game. I went in there with 10 CUBAN family members. They came to Denver for a family reunion. I have Cuban family from Miami, Tampa, and New Jersey. After taking them to this Jama place, well, they haven't spoken to me since. Don't get mad at me because your food is slack. That's what losers do. The customer is always right. That's how I run my successfull business. You're probably already going out of business. Don't take it out on me bruh, get a plancha. And if u don't know what a freakin plancha is, there's no help for you. And stop being so sensitive. I'll bring u a pacifier so u don't cry

Additionally, our server, Ryan C. went above and beyond and sat down with us to accomodate dietary restrictions for my brother in law and was very thorough with what he could offer for alternative food options. His quality of service was exceptional and was greatly appreciated. Sitting on the patio was a vibe as well and is an excellent place to grab drinks. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot in Five Points.

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.

The food came out a little fast in the beginning (we prefer to take our time) and we definitely missed any guidance about how the flag was supposed to be used, so that would be the only thing I'd change about the evening. Everything was delicious, and my favorites were the ceviche with house made chips, patatas bravas, and pork wings. Everyone loved their drinks--spicy margarita, red sangria, and a Paloma. We shared two desserts--the Media Luna de Limon for our friend who is gf and df, and the rest of us shared the brownie with coffee ice cream which was incredible--warm and just the right size if you want just 1-2 bites (between three of us) of something sweet.
