Ive been here quite a few times- i absolutely love it, the food NEVER DISAPPOINTS. Its soooo amazing. The service is amazing, friendly and helpful. I love coming here. The parking is a little weird sometimes, But it's always fast and efficient here. I love it.

Excellent pupusas and tamal! The food was very authentic and generous in portions and prices are reasonable

Everything we had was delicious, probably the best pupusas I've had. The plantain empanadas were out of this world. Very friendly service, it might take a little while but you can hear the slaps of the pupusa dough being made fresh by hand. Definitely check this spot out!

I've driven by this little shop for awhile and decided I needed to venture out. What a treat! I ordered 2 pupusas (zucchini and queso/locoro, beans, and queso) which arrived so piping hot and deliciously gooey! They showed me the correct way to experience pupusas by tearing off and grabbing the cabbage which I added their hotter red sauce to. Explosion of flavors! I also enjoyed the sweet corn tamale dipped in the tangy sour cream and cheese. I will order a coffee with it next time. If you haven't experienced Salvadoran food, you need to! Loved my new food find! They are open on Mondays now too.

Really good savory papusa, I had the one with zucchini. The sweet tamale was just ok, plain sweet corn, I didn't like it much. Fresh and quick service.

Oh, yum! These pupusas are as good as you can get. Nice, thin, slightly charred (yesss) crunchy corn cake, with abundant stuffing. I got the vegan option with loroco blossoms, beans, and mushrooms and it was amaaaaazing! The stuffing to corn cake ratio was great, with good texture and lovely flavor that can be enhanced with a little hot sauce. Adding this little gem to my vegan food repertoire. The vegan option allows you to choose 3 different stuffings so you can mix and match a lot of combinations to suit your taste! I ordered my food to go on my way home from an appointment. The wait was a little long (about 30-40 minutes), but it allowed me to run another errand beforehand. Glad I got it to go, as the space is small and all the tables were full. Also, do note, the parking lot is one way and there is limited parking. I definitely suggest ordering to go as a first choice, especially during peak hours. The food held well on my 20 minute drive home and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I will return and I definitely recommend.

Came here for lunch and it was delicious. I do recommend sitting inside or outside the restaurant -cuz we got our stuff in a to go box and the sauces were leaking out a bit. Knocking off a star because they ran out of empanadas (which is fine) but didn't tell me and the empanada was included in the mixed plate I ordered. also, I felt prices were a bit steep for the amount that I got- especially because the prices online on their website are not correct. Mixed plate was $30, not $22. Passionfruit drink was good. Loved the sweet plantains. Come here if you want authentic food!

I ended up coming back on a weekday and the quality of the pupusa was amazing!! There was definitely more stuffing and I could really tell which pupusa was which. I have to say my favorite was the carne asada one! It was delicious. We did make an online order and picked them up. The staff was super friendly and let us know that they were still working on the order, which was fine because they were so fresh and hot! I definitely plan to come back a third time.

Pupusas Lover had been on my radar for at least several months. I don't quite remember how I found it to begin with. I don't think I was specifically looking for El Salvadorian food in particular at the time but fate lead me to it is the best way to describe it; I am glad that I got to know it. The stretch on Colorado Bvld from Yale to Evans on the east side has a good selection of restaurants from Japanese to American to middle eastern to south American. This Pupusas Lover being one of many, I felt like I needed to go investigate them and I did just so yesterday. When I am new to a certain cuisine, I always try to buy something basic so I tend to shy away from ordering a huge entrée so I order something from the appetizer section. That is exactly what I did when I arrived at the restaurant; I got me pupusa (vegan) and tamale (pork). Turns out, this was a great idea as both of them were a good portion that filled me up for the rest of the night. -Vegan pupusa: you can pick three ingredients for your pupusa. I really like that because it's almost like a "build-your-own" style. I asked for mushrooms, beans, and something else; I forgot what the 3rd one was! The red sauce and coleslaw that accompany the pupusa definitely were the big game changer. Unlike the coleslaw many cook in the U.S., the El Salvadorian slaw has very little sweetness and a hint of sourness. -Pork Tamale de Pollo o de Puerco: This is a tamale wrapped in banana leaf. Mexican tamales are wrapped in corn husks so it was nice to learn that this is one of the biggest differences between the two counties' tamales as to how they are cooked/made. I really enjoyed the moist masa inside the leaf that is mildly seasoned mostly with chicken stock or bouillon (I believe). And it was very creamy, too. And the very well-cooked pork inside was just impeccably tender. Yum! By seeing over 100 pictures uploaded by people who have dined there before, certain people do know about this place but to me, this place might still be unknown to many. I feel that we have a big task to do to spread the word about this humbly existing business. This place is a gem!
